The first thing Lex saw was an old woman wrapping him gently in a blanket and passed him to a woman who had white hair flowing down her shoulder. She had delicate and proportional features. Her plump rosy lips formed a captivating smile. Her cerulean eyes shown with happiness and tinge of worry for her newborn.
"Why is he not crying? Is there something wrong? Is his health not fine?" Anastasia, his mother asked the old woman. Her maternal instincts warning her that something is not normal. "There is nothing wrong. His health is just fine but I will cast a healing spell just to ease your worries. Minor healing." The old woman replied as a golden light shown from her hands and Lex felt as if some of fatigue vanished.
" I'll leave you both to enjoy this moment." The old woman left after saying this.
"Is he alright, dear?" His father, a middle aged man with a toned body and height of about 6ft asked as he caressed his son. He had black abyss-like eyes and hairs with high cheekbones and a good jawline.
"I think so." replied Anastasia. Still only looking onto Lex to make sure he is fine.
"He looks just like you, honey." "That he does." replied his father, Alaric Ashborne.
"What about his name?" Asked Anastasia.
"I have just the perfect name for him.
Max Ashborne."
"I love it, but are you sure you want to give him your surname after you left it behind."
"I am sure of it. After there is nothing wrong in using it."
Lex who was still in his mother's arms and being caressed by both just listened to them talk. He also liked that name 'Max Ashborne, I like that name. It kind of has a vibe. Well its not like I can say that my name is Lex Hordon, now can I.'
