Intelligent are the second most dangerous, they can think reasonably and even predict some moves There are very rare intelligent and mystic type beasts in the outer regions. The beasts here are at body tempering realm mostly between 1-3 level. The higher level beasts are very rare and are quickly taken down by the cultivators to prevent any deaths.
'Body Tempering' realm is the first realm in the path of cultivation. You strengthen your flesh, mind, and soul to be able to accommodate the strain your body feels to let the surrounding Qi flow into your body for the next realm called 'Qi refining' realm. The more pure the bloodline of a beast is the more potential to reach higher realms it has. Beasts with 10-20% purity will only ever reach the peak or late of 'Body Tempering' realm. Those with30-40% purity can reach peak of 'Qi refining' realm or early levels of 'foundation' realm. Those with 50-60% purity can reach peak of 'spiritual core' realm or early stage of 'nascent soul' realm. And those with above 65% purity can ascend to an immortal world.
The beasts in the outer regions of the forest only have about10% purity. These bloodline are what separates beasts from normal animals because for beasts to improve their realm is to awaken their bloodline to the next phase or fight many other beast of the same species or same type of bloodline origination. Bloodline is the important aspect of beast it can make a swift type beast into a mystic type beasts when reaching higher realm. If a Drake has the bloodline of a dragon, it can potentially become a dragon with given enough time for it to mature and evolve. The beasts usually evolve when they reach the 'nascent soul' realm.
