Chapter 2
Devil Fruits. No one knows where they came from. No one even knows why the exist. However, sometimes it is better to utilise something rather than question it's existence. Pirates from all around the world have done so, eating random fruits, wrecking havoc for the Navy, and making a name for themselves, albeit in bad faith. The thing is, Devil Fruits are not regular power-ups. They contain within them a much darker and sinister secret within them, which almost nobody knows. And the one who does..is dead.
Reza. The man who knew what was, what is, and what will be. After Straw Hat Luffy's becoming of the Flame Emperor, a meeting was called within the Navy Headquarters. It was all mayhem, with many higher ups and even some Warlords saying that they should all just release the TIQA on the world and be done with it. However, that is a very foolish thing to say. The TIQA is not something that can just be 'released' onto the world - it would kill millions and cost billions of berries in damages. The TIQA was only to ever be used in case of a world ending threat - and Straw Hat Luffy wasn't exactly a world ending threat - at least, not yet. His Haki wasn't to the point of total destruction, and anyway, Roger and K. did not intend to use it on a pirate, ever..unless..they possessed..
..Hika.
Gum-Gum. The fruit that everyone had been talking about for months now. The very fruit that had the Navy and the Marine in a frenzy since it wasn't supposed to exist. It's very existence was intimidating, since they could not understand how a fruit user could power-up without the fruit itself being awakened.
"If this is the fruits' non-awakened power..", said Twin Core,"Then we are up against a force that shouldn't ever be reckoned with."
"Why, though, Twin Core?", said a voice, filled with malice and hatred for the Straw Hat. "He's just a kid. We can take him."
"Yeah, just like Kaido took him.", said another voice sarcastically. "He got used for cardio by the kid."
Everyone fell silent, not being able to argue with that. "If he can make the King of the Beasts look ridiculous..", the voice continued, breaking the embarrassed silence,"..then only God knows what he will do to us."
"Enough.", said Twin Core, with a tone of finality that would even make the King of Hell shut up. "This discussion is over. The point of this meeting was to simply recognise that this isn't the same Straw Hat Luffy who almost died multiple times a few years ago. This new Straw Hat..is hundreds of times more powerful."
Gears. The celestial beings which truly made the Gum-Gum fruit - and the fruit user - extremely powerful. However, strangely enough, Gears only applied to the Gum-Gum fruit, which shouldn't even exist. All the Navy and the Marine knew was that Straw Hat Luffy could use different Gears to get more and more powerful - with a Asleep fruit which, once again, should not exist.
