The surroundings were engulfed in blazing fire. Savai was standing in the middle of it, with his right arm raised to the shoulder, left angled downward to the hip and knees bent slightly, he had taken a firm stand ready to accelerate immediately. His whole body was surging with aura, shaped like fire from a lit candle.
"That was stupid of me. Up for round two, grandma…?"
"Thud!!"
It was Savai. He rushed directly to the voice of Eight and hit him with the same explosive punch he used earlier. It hit Eight's chest leaving a hole inside.
Moments later his body turned into pure aura and the whispers of "Spirit Conjunction - Void God : Nora, Iteration: ****** Ryusuke!" echoed the surroundings.
Tch! I thought it would work. In the end, what Kori said is true. He can't be killed directly…
Savai as he moved far away back as he could.
Smoke around Eight cleared, but he was not there. Instead was a creature twice as tall that looked neither a human or animal.
It had long slender legs covered with hardened muscles on both shin and thighs. The shinbones were clearly visible even with both legs being covered in brown fur.
Waist up, the body was covered in small scales resembling a downward arrow head. It had a small waist but a massive chest, with a white circle drawn on the upper middle region.
It had six arms, where the middle and lower were slightly shorter than the upper pair. Both the wrists and the ankles had beaded bracelets around them made of big red ruby balls.
It had the face of a wolf, with teeth as long as a human finger. The vertical eyelids were sealed shut with three blue strips on each eye.
It had two straight horns pointing upwards. Its ears pointing to the sides, illuminated bright light from the earrings below that resembled a golden star shaped cross.
And…
That halo on its back... That's what I have to watch out for. But I can see it from the front.
It moved its hands slowly. The sound of three consecutive claps followed. Simultaneously, it dashed towards Savai.
He ran to dodge the giant hands but the last two hits landed, pressing him inside the iron hands.
"Great. Three hands, that's what was missing earlier." said Savai in a sarcastic tone as he barely dodged the hands with his fire aura.
"Thud!!"
It landed a Morkishi punch knocking Savai back in the air. It followed…
Damn! That speed. He's too fast. I can't even follow his movements.
The creature was fast and attacked with pinpoint accuracy. He managed to minimize the damage but his arm was bruised by the punch.
It caught up to Savai. It moved its arms back and upper body forward. It opened its mouth wide while keeping pace and tried to attack Savai's neck.
"Clunk!!"

"The second gate will force you to fight a spirit."
"Spirit?? Depending on the type of summoning,it might be easier or straight up impossible."
"Unfortunatetly, Its going to be the latter. The second gate grants him the ability to physically summon the spirit."

Savai closed his eyes and took a deep breath…
"Azure Divinity - Formless Existence!"
Savai stopped channeling the aura while spirit's jaw was approaching to crush his neck.
"Clunk!!"
The spirit hit its teeth together. But Savai was nowhere to be found. It moved around quickly to locate him and dashed to its right.
Interesting! Even though I stopped emitting aura, it can still follow my movement. So I couldn't compress my aura centre completely.
The spirit followed Savai but it was falling behind.
Savai had his eyes closed but it wasn't darkness that he was seeing. He could sense the surroundings and quickly make a mental map of the area.
He moved avoiding collision with objects and away from the spirit. He held the lead by quickly changing his movement patterns.
Now how do I get close to it? If I dash towards it, it will attack me before I could respond. Since I can't use my aura, I'll have to rely on my physical abilities.
The spirit was closing distance with each movement change Savai had to do.
Savai had a thread wrapped around his right hand wrist. He moved his left hand towards it, put his fingers underneath and yanked it with force which tore the black thread.
The spirit was trailing behind him, merely 100 meters in distance.
Now!
Savai put his right foot forwards and quickly rotated his body backwards and dashed towards it.
The spirit moved its upper body forward and opened its mouth wide. It launched a beam of bright yellow aura that emitted continuously in a straight line.
One second passed…
Destructive aura? That's to be expected!
Savai moved to his left while dashing. The spirit moved its head to aim at Savai. He quickly ducked below the beam to the right and jumped, flipping his entire body forward up in the air. His left hand was about to touch the right horn of the spirit.
Reach!!
Two seconds passed…
"Crack!!"
The spirit moved its neck upwards and snapped it to the left, to follow Savai's movement. The beam couldn't reach in time so it quickly moved its body backwards, towards Savai.
Three seconds passed…
Savai landed on the ground and quickly tried to dash. The spirit stopped the beam, the circle on its chest lit up with white light. It was looking towards Savai…
Four seconds passed…
The roaring sound of fast moving air followed. Savai, who was about to dash away, felt a strong force around him that pulled his entire body backwards. It felt as though the gravity itself had changed to the circle on the spirit's chest.
Fifth second passed…
The light around the chest circle stopped. Savai's body was mid air. The spirit opened its mouth and launched the beam.
"+20" Savai put extra weight in his feet and landed on the ground, dodging the beam. He quickly jumped, his body flipped in the air again. His hand touched the horn of the spirit.
Sixth second passed…
The spirit briefly stopped the beam and moved towards Savai. He landed in sitting position. The spirit moved its mouth close to his head and opened it wide.
Point-blank. Savai had no way to dodge at that range. The beam, at launch, would hit Savai's head and incinerate it in an instant. Death was certain…
