[Point of view - Jhon]
Watching the meteorite in the sky, my body in the air vibrated with the need to split it in two. The fifty meters of that damn rock filled my entire field of vision.
My shirt, already slightly torn, was slowly peeling off my torso.
"HAHAHAHA!" I laughed like a madman while opening portal after portal, getting closer and closer. The radiant blue raced along my silhouette at a speed undetectable to the human eye.
I hurled wakfu projectiles at the rock, but they didn't do enough damage, only denting it slightly.
"Just a little more, just a little more!" I pushed myself while ten meters away from crashing. The massive rock made me look tiny in comparison.
My mind flashed back to a few minutes ago, when I was training with the spheres and the dummies. Wakfu, created to represent life in its world, is not used to destroy as violently as its counterpart.
But what happens when I hyper-concentrate a huge amount of wakfu? Not to throw it, but to strike directly.
Using the Rasengan as a base in my mind, I poured every bit of wakfu my body currently had into my fist.
Blue lines ran across my bare torso as I pulled my arm back, preparing the strongest attack with my current strength.
The power I felt at that moment faded every time more wakfu passed through the lines and reached my hand.
Slowly a small blue sphere formed in front of my fist, growing larger and larger in circular motions, like a hurricane forming.
I used the last of my energy and opened a portal. I quickly used the momentum from the other portals and crossed through it.
Time seemed to freeze. The air imploded as it approached the accumulated wakfu.
My body burned with pain, my muscles straining to the max.
As if a God and a natural disaster were facing off, my hand and the meteorite were only centimeters apart.
"AHHH!" I screamed as if that gave me more power and smashed it straight into the massive moving rock.
BOOOOM!
The impact shook everything around me.
The concentrated sphere of wakfu slowly began to crack the meteorite. I clenched my teeth to keep pushing until I destroyed it all.
However, what difference would concentrating wakfu make if I had only just obtained Eliatrope physiology?
So what I expected didn't happen.
I opened my eyes when I saw I had barely managed to destroy half the meteorite.
Fragments broke off its sides without altering its trajectory.
Without giving me time to react, it took me with it.
My body and it collided, the impact to my stomach making me vomit blood.
"URGG!" I was slowly burning from the air friction at the speed the meteorite was going. My skin healed as it tore, but since I didn't have very strong regeneration, more wounds were created than healed.
"Shiiit!!" I screamed trying to push away from the moving colossus, only to fail because of gravity.
The wakfu, my current ally, didn't respond. That's when I realized how stupid I had been for not setting up a safeguard. In my excitement, my intelligence had gone from a 10 to a -10, which put me in this situation.
I knew the essence didn't give me plot armor; everything depended on my decisions.
However, that didn't discourage me. I was a normal person who had fulfilled his dream hours ago. If I died, I would die knowing I had been more than a speck of dust in the universe. But who wants to die?
So I tried again.
"BREAK!" I hit the rock faster and faster while trying to absorb ambient wakfu. Even if I could barely feel my hands, I kept going and going.
---
In the forest of the dimension, near the Castle of Desire, there was a white egg with golden speckles that vibrated faster and faster, as if it wanted to escape its prison called a shell.
The moment Jhon was being dragged by the meteorite, the shell began to vibrate uncontrollably.
A crack appeared on its surface.
Then the sound of the shell breaking echoed through the silent forest.
From the egg emerged a beautiful little white head. Its golden scales, shiny and gleaming, reflected the light in perfect sync. Four pointed horns accompanied its elegant appearance.
Its pupils, previously innocent as they looked around, narrowed instantly.
It turned its head toward where Jhon was and took off like a lightning bolt.
Not slowly, not curiously. Abruptly and anxiously.
As it approached the castle, the castle became translucent, allowing the little dragoness to pass through it.
---
While I kept hitting the meteorite over and over, tearing pieces off it, my hands hurt, my knuckles were shattered, my back was burned by friction.
The only thing keeping me standing was adrenaline as I slowly recovered wakfu.
My eyes were clouded. I could only hear my fists colliding with the immovable object that enveloped me.
At that moment I felt something in my consciousness, which made me open my eyes and stop hitting the rock. Knowing who was coming, I put a smile on my face, a bloody smile that emanated from my body. If someone saw it, they would piss themselves in fear instead of thinking it was beautiful.
So instead of continuing to waste energy hitting it, I made the wakfu in my system start healing me slowly. Putting everything I had managed to accumulate in twenty seconds, my wounds closed, but it wasn't enough to fully heal.
Healing just enough not to die instantly from the impact, I stiffly turned my head toward a corner.
My ears heard a sonic boom approaching.
"ROARRRR!" A small dragon roar was heard as the beautiful little figure that had just hatched arrived on the scene.
Its tiny figure opened its mouth and inhaled inward. The air seemed to ignite with the pressure it emitted.
Its cheeks puffed up, glowing with a blue-golden light from within. The scales on its neck glowed like burning embers.
And then it exhaled.
A massive column of blue and golden fire shot from its jaws like a divine cannon.
The heat was so intense that the air itself distorted around it, creating visible waves that expanded in all directions.
The fire roared furiously toward the meteorite.
The impact was apocalyptic.
The meteorite, which had withstood my blows with barely any dents, exploded into a storm of incandescent fragments. The missing upper half simply ceased to exist, vaporizing under the assault of draconic fire. The remaining pieces were hurled in all directions like burning shooting stars.
But the fire didn't touch me.
The little dragoness had calculated the angle perfectly. The flames passed centimeters from me, enveloping the meteorite in a destructive embrace while I remained in the eye of the hurricane.
I felt the overwhelming heat, but not the flames.
And then... everything went black.
My eyes closed.
Consciousness faded.
The last thing I perceived was a warm presence approaching quickly.
---
Jhon fell unconscious, his body collapsing in the air while the last remnants of the meteorite scattered like stardust.
The little dragoness reacted instantly.
Her wings, still small but surprisingly powerful, beat hard. She dove toward him like a white and golden projectile, her eyes fixed on the falling figure.
With precision, she caught Jhon's leg with her jaws. Not hard enough to hurt him, just to hold him.
She lifted him into the air, her neck arching as she held him. Jhon hung like a rag doll, unconscious, bleeding, his clothes in tatters.
Then something extraordinary happened.
From the dragoness's body began to emanate a bright blue energy, soft as moonlight. The energy flowed from within her, running along her scales, down her neck, and transferring directly into Jhon's body through the point of contact.
The energy enveloped Jhon like a protective cocoon.
The wounds on his back began to close faster. The burned skin regenerated, regaining its natural tone. The broken knuckles rebuilt themselves. Color returned to his face.
The little dragoness didn't stop channeling her energy until she was sure he would be okay.
With a soft snort, she descended quickly, carrying Jhon back to the floor of the training room.
She gently deposited him on the white floor, finally releasing his leg.
She stayed there, watching him with her large golden eyes, waiting.
When Jhon was fully healed, when his breathing stabilized and his body stopped trembling...
"Pah"
She smacked him in the face with her tail.
Not hard. Just a little tap. Like saying: "Idiot."
Then, with a satisfied sigh, the little dragoness curled up on Jhon's chest, closing her eyes and letting out a soft purr that vibrated against his body.
---
I opened my eyes abruptly.
I lifted my head, breathing heavily as I looked around.
The training room. The damn destruction, the shattered dummies, everything.
I was... alive?
I looked down and saw her.
The little dragoness curled up on my chest, her white and golden scales softly glowing under the light. Her four pointed horns resting against my torso. Her calm, steady breathing.
Beautiful.
Absolutely beautiful.
A laugh escaped my throat. Then another. And another.
I started laughing upward, staring at the nonexistent ceiling of the room, while gently stroking the little one's scales with my hand.
"I'm never doing that shit again", I said between laughs, spreading my arms on the floor as if I wanted to melt into it.
The little dragoness purred softly in response, pressing herself closer to me.
And so, exhausted, healed, relieved and accompanied for the first time in this dimension...
I fell asleep.
...
Three hours later.
Feeling uncomfortable on the floor, with his dragon sister on his chest, Jhon woke up.
He slowly opened his eyes, blinking as he adjusted to the light of the training room. He sat up with his sister in his arms, immediately feeling the pain in his back. He turned his neck to one side and then the other.
Crack. Crack.
His bones cracked from the discomfort of having slept on the stone floor.
"Well, I guess it's my fault you woke up early...", he said helplessly while stopping cracking his neck and rubbing his sister's little head. The dragoness simply snorted in her sleep, as if even in dreams she was still angry at how stupid Jhon had been.
Her tiny nostrils expelled two small columns of smoke.
Jhon couldn't help but smile at that.
"We have to give you a name then", he said aloud while narrowing his eyes at her, as if testing whether she was really asleep.
The moment he said it, the dragoness opened her eyes wide. Her golden pupils stared at him for a second before deliberately looking away, ignoring him.
Jhon laughed and had to scratch his head, feeling the awkwardness of being ignored by a newborn.
"Mmm... your name will be Elysra", he declared solemnly, stroking the scales on her head. "Because of your connection to the world of Wakfu. The name of a dragoness who deserves respect."
He paused, looking directly into her eyes when she finally turned to look at him.
"Even if you're not part of my soul, you are and always will be my family."
His voice was firm, sincere, loaded with an unbreakable promise.
Elysra's large golden eyes widened even more, shining with an emotion that shouldn't be possible in someone who had just been born. Her white scales took on a slight pinkish tone around her neck and cheeks.
She blushed.
She quickly turned her head away, snorting hard.
Jhon was stunned, blinking several times.
'What the hell? She just hatched. How is she blushing?'
Then the information hit his mind like lightning, courtesy of the essence.
Dragons born alongside Eliatropes are their perfect counterpart. They represent the Primordial Dragon that gave rise to the world alongside the Great Eliatrope. Dragons are, in essence, half of the Eliatrope's soul. That's why if one dies, the other does too. And so begins a continuous cycle of reincarnation, where there will only ever be the two of them, bound for eternity. They share memories, emotions, growth. Two bodies, one existence.
But the essence had changed the rules.
By providing immunity to mental and soul manipulation, the essence couldn't copy that "shared soul" characteristic. However, since the copy was EVERYTHING, an alternative solution was sought.
Elysra became the first born in the dimension without ceasing to share the bond they were originally meant to have. She wasn't part of his soul, but she was linked to him in a different way. If one died, it was very likely both would. It wasn't an absolute guarantee like with the original Eliatropes, but the bond was strong enough.
And there was another critical difference.
By not having part of his soul, Elysra didn't inherit his unlimited potential. This made her unable to keep up with him at an advanced point in his growth. Her power ceiling was that of a normal Eliatrope dragon: extremely high, but not infinite.
The positive variant was that Eliatrope dragons naturally had gigantic potential. And when she reached her limit, Jhon could help her surpass it with resources from different worlds and wakfu in particular.
Furthermore, dragons grew smarter as their brother grew smarter. They passively shared knowledge. Elysra would grow mentally fast because Jhon was intelligent.
Well, normally intelligent.
His intelligence had simply dropped to critical levels because he had thought he was Goku training for a moment. Something he already promised himself never to do again.
Taking a deep breath, Jhon stood up with Elysra still in his arms. He looked at his body covered in dried mud and coagulated blood, which made him pull a face of absolute disgust.
"Definitely need a bath."
Wanting a real bath instead of just using the dimension to clean himself with a snap, he moved his arm forward.
A blue portal materialized in front of him, its edges rippling with bright wakfu.
He stepped through without hesitation.
He appeared a hundred meters ahead, right in front of the exit door of the training room.
Jhon, after his near-suicide, had learned not only to never be reckless again, but now he could make his portals appear anywhere his perception of wakfu could see. The entire room was saturated with his energy, so he could create portals at any point inside it.
Furthermore, he had perfected that wakfu concentration move in his fist; after doing it once, he no longer needed so much time to do it again. He considered it strong but useless due to his barely growing wakfu reserve. It consumed too much for the damage it currently did.
He opened the door and stepped through, appearing inside his castle.
The hallways were silent, lit by crystal lamps floating without supports. His footsteps echoed against the marble floor as he quickly headed to his personal room.
He entered the bathroom, a spacious area with a huge polished stone bathtub that looked like it came from an ancient palace. Golden faucets gleamed at one end, and the high ceiling had windows showing the purple sky of his dimension.
Elysra, who had been calm until then, suddenly seemed to realize where they were headed.
She tried to escape.
Her small wings flapped frantically as she tried to jump from his arms.
Jhon easily caught her, holding her against his chest.
"Oh no, little one. You're dirty too."
He turned on the faucet and water began to fill the bathtub. He removed the remains of his shredded clothes and got in with Elysra still in his arms.
The water was perfectly warm.
He began rinsing her scales, which were covered in sand and meteorite dust. Elysra squirmed, clearly annoyed by the situation.
Her golden eyes glared at him with an intensity that shouldn't be possible in a newborn.
"I-idiot", she said with difficulty, her small, high-pitched but clearly understandable voice.
Jhon's eyes widened.
He lifted her toward the sky like Simba in The Lion King, a huge smile on his face.
"You're already learning to talk, Elysra!!"
The dragoness stared at him.
Her expression changed from annoyance to pure rage.
She opened her mouth.
A blue-golden light began to glow in her throat.
Jhon panicked.
"Wait, wait, wait! I was joking!" He quickly lowered her and desperately patted her head. "I'm really happy you're already starting to talk! Seriously!"
Elysra, wet and clearly irritated, simply snorted. Two small columns of smoke came out of her nose.
Jhon froze for a moment, looking into her eyes.
He laughed lightly, but there was a touch of sadness in his laugh.
"I'm glad it's you who's keeping me company here", he said softly, gently stroking her head. "I hope our journey is full of happiness."
Elysra's eyes instantly softened.
She slowly approached him, placing her head against his chest, right over his heart. The soft purr she emitted vibrated against his skin, comforting him.
Jhon just shook his head, smiling more sincerely.
"Well, enough drama. Now let's play."
He started splashing her with water, and Elysra responded by throwing small amounts of water back with her wings.
The bathroom turned into a water battlefield.
---
Forty minutes later.
Jhon was sitting in his leather chair in the shop, with Elysra curled up in his lap. He was wearing the elegant black suit he had started using to attend shop visitors. Every fold was perfectly fitted, every button in place.
The book about the world of Wakfu was open in his hands as he turned the pages, carefully reading about the history of the Eliatropes, the Council of Six, and the ancient wars.
Suddenly he slammed it shut.
He tossed it backward without looking.
The book floated in the air and obediently returned to its shelf, sliding between other volumes with a soft click.
Jhon slightly adjusted his suit, straightening the lapels and smoothing nonexistent wrinkles. His expression completely changed.
The relaxed smile disappeared.
His blue eyes became serene, calculating.
His posture straightened, exuding aristocratic dignity and an almost divine presence.
This was the personality style he adopted whenever he was about to grant a wish. Jhon Desire.
The shop door began to glow with pure white, pulsing like a heart.
Then it stopped glowing.
Jhon waited patiently, hands clasped on the counter, while information about the connected world poured into his brain.
The moment the information embedded itself in his mind, Jhon's eyes widened.
His dignified expression vanished instantly.
Incredulity.
Shock.
Horror.
"¿MARVEL ZOMBIES?!"
He shouted, standing up abruptly from the chair.
Elysra woke startled in his lap, falling to the floor with a thud and looking at him in confusion.
Jhon paid her no attention, eyes fixed on the shop door.
On the other side of that door was one of the most dangerous, brutal, and hopeless universes in the multiverse.
A world where the most powerful superheroes had become hungry zombies.
Where there was no hope.
Where everything was lost.
"Shit."

Hello, here your future favorite author.
Guess what.. I'm finally on vacation!. That means more updates for my two fanfics.
This is chapter 7, where Jhon met Elysra, his little dragoness.
And there's already a new world, except people won't be able to come to the shop because they don't have time to check if anything new appeared, so Jhon will have to actively look for someone who desires something. This is the best place to train, get stronger, and grow mentally, hopefully Wanda doesn't bite him...
Please comment on all chapters, it motivates me to see people interact with my fic. It's sad to see almost no comments, but I guess it's because I just started this fanfic. Unfortunately I don't have Jhon Desire's patience, so it makes me think you aren't interested.
Lastly, it's shameless but I'll leave it here anyway, maybe not now, but in the future: 200 power stones equals one chapter.
I hope you enjoyed the reading. Have a good start of the day or end of the night.
