Chapter 25: (part 1- The true identity of the creature sealed within the jar. Its sixteenth evolution. Its deal with Bahamut)
A month and six days ago, after Nathaniel leave the grand library.
*Tick, tick, tick, tick.*
It was the sound of a tiny creature, its small legs tapping and scratching on a glass surface. The noise was soft but steady, like a small creature with many legs was moving carefully across the glass.
Then, suddenly, the scratching stopped.
The silence that followed was almost complete. But just as the quiet settled in, there was a sharp "Pling!" — the loud, surprising sound of glass shattering. It echoed around the library, as if the tiny creature had somehow broken the glass.
After the crash, everything fell silent again. The glass lay broken, and the only sound left was the soft echo of the impact.
It broke out of the glass jar where it had been sealed. Stepping over the shattered pieces, it slowly revealed itself. Its body was dark, covered in a hard exoskeleton. Glowing violet runes were carved into its skin, pulsing with light. As it walked, its three dark purple eyes scanned the area. The room was a mess—books scattered everywhere, dust hanging in the air. It looked like the place had just been hit by an earthquake.
The tiny creature was moving on six legs, each step making a soft but heavy sound—*thud, thud, thud*. It was a quiet noise, but for something so small, it felt strangely loud in the wide, empty space. Its steps echoed lightly across the stone floor.
As it moved closer, it saw a huge, gigantic door standing tall in front of it. The door was covered in dust, old scratches, and faded symbols in the center. Beneath it, a wide stairway stretched down, disappearing into the dim light below.
It gave a little "*hup*" sound and pushed off the ground with a quick flap of its tiny wings. A faint buzzing filled the air as it flew down the long staircase, air brushing softly past its body as it descended.
*Chin... chink... tink... tink...*
That was the sound it made when it landed on a pile of gold coins. Its feet tapped the coins gently, but the small metal discs shifted and bounced, making sharp, clear sounds that echoed like wind chimes in a cave.
Its loud when It step on the coins, even though It's so little...
The floor was covered with treasures. A dazzling variety of items lay scattered everywhere. The gold coins shimmered in the faint light. Shiny weapons glinted with cold steel, some with glowing runes carved into their blades. Armor pieces, dented and broken, lay on top of each other like fallen soldiers. Bottles filled with glowing, colorful liquids rolled slowly, their glass tapping gently when they bumped into other things—*clink, clink*.
There were also beautiful jewelry pieces, with gems that sparkled in reds, blues, and greens. Old books, thick and dusty, with covers made of strange leather, lay open and closed among the rest. Some pages fluttered slightly as if moved by a breeze that wasn't there. Everything looked untouched for a long, long time.
Then it saw a statue ahead, facing the same direction as the others near it. These statues were about five to seven feet tall. Each one was covered in full armor from head to toe, their faces hidden under smooth helmets. They stood perfectly still, each holding a sword that was stabbed into the ground in front of them. Their hands were placed firmly on the top of the sword's hilt.
In the middle of that treasure chamber, ten even taller statues stood in a wide circle. These ones were more than nine feet tall. They wore a mix of old robes and heavy armor. None of them had helmets, so their stone faces were clearly visible. Their eyes were closed, and their expressions were calm, as if they were peacefully sleeping.
Each of them was kneeling. Their knees rested firmly on the ground, and their swords were placed straight down, the tips buried into the stone floor. Their heads were slightly bowed. The carving on each one was so detailed that they looked like they could breathe at any moment. Their robes had folds, and their hair looked soft despite being stone.
And there, in the center of those kneeling statues, it saw one broken statue. Pieces of it were scattered—arms, legs, and parts of its body were lying in silence, dust settled on the cracks. The face was missing. Only the lower part of the body remained kneeling.
Next to the broken statue was a large, dual curved sword. The blade was made of dark, black iron. It gave off a quiet, dark glow. The handle was thick and decorated with swirling patterns in gold and silver. At its center was a dragon crest, carved carefully like it was alive.
The tiny creature looked at the sword, its eyes wide. For a long moment, there was only silence.
Then, in a quiet, serious voice, it finally spoke.
"Bloodbath Dragonborn General – Dual butchering Crescent Moon Blades."
It walked forward and saw a tunnel in pure darkness. "The tunnel... that leads to the chained Dragon god den."
Tink... tink...
It stepped into a vast dragon den — a sea of gold coins shimmered under faint yet still dark light. The walls are pure black, Giant monoliths and towering blocks surrounded the place, half-buried in treasure.
Tink... tink... tink... tink...
Then it looked up. Something rested above the golden mountain.
"Bahamut," it said, voice echoing coldly, "it's been 2,056 years since we last met."
The dragon's eyes slowly opened, like white stars as it begin stirring. "Oh... your the monster king of locusthene kalomorpha," Bahamut rumbled, "one of the world's greatest Masterpieces."
"Am I right... nameless one? The infinite adaptability insect king. 1 of the *6 World's Greatest Masterpiece/ king of monsters/ calamities*"
The little creature lifted its gaze and use telepathy. "That was long ago... I was hunted by a human with one arm — and the three other Masterpieces. I almost died. My body still bears the wounds... my strength and MANA never recovered."
Bahamut's tone changed. "You vile thing. You caused famine upon the lands, spreading those pests that brought disaster. You crossed into other territories to feed without restraint. That is why you were hunted... by that human and nearly destroyed by the other Masterpieces."
Then it replied slowly,
"Evil, you call me evil? Do you truly comprehend what evil is? My hunger is no sin, it is nature's decree. If none devour, none shall live. If none grow strong, all shall perish. The law of consuming other species to survive is only the fact that I must do to stay alive to not starve. There is no clean or dirty in that. So tell me, do you really has the right to call me evil, when you yourselves helped built the world upon the same foundation? You analyzed every probability, calculated every outcome, and yet you speak of morality... am I wrong? You already predicted that the someone would awaken me one day."
Bahamut's eyes moved slightly. He answered,
"Hmm... so you know, huh?"
"Of course," it said. "I am one of the greatest Masterpieces ever made. I can analyze things too, though not as far and advance as you and more into senses than predictions. One of your GUARDIANS made me sleep, sealed my body to a glass jar, but my mind stayed awake. Even in that long sleep, I could feel everything. I heard the vibrations of the all things within 1km. The Mad Sorcerer made me slumber, and I remained that way for two thousand years. He is the one that found me. He saved me. But I could not feel his MANA anymore. He must be dead. So I will give you the right to command me. My promise to him was an *Unavoidable tounge slavery Oath.* It says that the first being I speak to after awakening will have the right to give me orders. I cannot break that promise."
Bahamut let out a low sound that echoed through the place.
"That stubborn, bookworm kid," he said, almost laughing. "Always doing things he should not. But if you insist, I will give you an order. Protect that child. Be his guardian. Be his knight. Be anything that can keep him alive. The child's blood awakened you because of the runes carved on your body. Those violet runes are an oath — the *Flesh and Blood Binding.* When the child's blood dropped on you, you awakened and became tied to that child as your new master. The bookworm kid used his own life force and MANA to bind you with the oath so you wouldn't go on a killing spree once you awakened. You are now the child's guardian, his protector, his devil. You will stay by his side and protect him."
