"Seems like it's not a big problem… I can walk again after unblocking these meridians on both legs."
Henry tried to use his sword sense and examine the problem. With great effort, he could only barely use 0.1% of his previous power.
"What a misery… someone actually blocked his knee meridians. If I had my Divine power now, it would be just a piece of cake. But now I need to forcefully open them.
"First, I need to know about this lower mortal world. The aura in the air is not pure. It might take some millions of years for me to reach my previous divine state.
"My first step is to refine my body and train it into a heavenly mineral. Thankfully, I still remember the Heavenly Scripture of Divine Sword Purification."
Henry uttered while thinking about his current state. Slowly, his thoughts moved onto the previous owner of this crippled body.
Henry was a born genius who had excellent control over magical spells. With the support of his grandfather, the old patriarch, Henry learned magic from a grand master wizard. He entered the Wizard Academy at a young age. But everything changed with the death of the old patriarch. The Clark family stopped supporting him, and soon the Academy politics got him crippled. All this happened in the last three months.
"What a pitiful life." Henry shook his head.
But in the miserable life of Henry, the only hope was Luna. She was the only one who stuck to his side with great loyalty and trust. Actually, Luna's sister was supposed to marry Henry. But due to his crippled state, the Ding family married Luna to the cripple Henry to keep their family's word to the old patriarch.
"All my life, I lived alone and proud. I never encountered a single loyal companion like Luna. Ohh cripple Henry… thank you for giving me your life. I don't know why we share the same name. But I promise you that I will take good care of Luna and will bring justice for your life." Henry Clark, the broken sword spirit, uttered while staring at the distant painting on the wall.
Suddenly, Luna rushed inside the room with hot water and a piece of cloth. She carefully took his hand and began massaging it with the warm, wet cloth.
Henry continued to stare at her as she took care of him diligently.
"What is this?"
Luna put the cloth aside and picked up the half-broken sword that was pierced into the floor beside the bed.
Henry's eyes went wide in surprise after seeing himself… that broken sword. It was nothing but half of his previous body. It might just be lifeless metal… but still, it was the most divine and precious metal.
Even after using her full strength, Luna failed to pluck the sword from the floor.
While holding the wooden bed on one side, Henry leaned onto the floor and gracefully picked the sword up with his other hand.
"Henry… is this yours? But you never use a sword?!" Luna commented in confusion as Henry continued to observe the broken sword like a precious gift sent by God.
A cold sensation passed inside his body from the broken sword. Like a lightning flash… the blocked knee meridians reconnected, and Henry finally got the senses in his legs.
"Seems like this is your last gift to me. Thank you for carrying me for a lifetime. I will still keep our promise in this life as well. I will never become a slave to anyone." Henry muttered while staring at the broken sword.
Luna continued to observe Henry, who was staring at the broken sword with emotion.
"Henry… why do you feel so emotional?" Luna asked with a curious look.
"Because I got my legs back. I can walk now." Henry replied as he turned his head toward her.
"What?!"
Before she could ask any more questions, Henry kicked the blanket with his legs.
"..."
"Wahhhh…!!!"
Luna stood up in shock as she stared at Henry's raised legs.
"Henry… how did you do this?" she asked, leaning close to his legs to see whether they were real or if she was dreaming.
"Last night… This broken sword appeared in my dream and said I would walk again. And now, I am walking…" Henry replied with a smile.
"..."
"Stop joking… the family healer said you won't be able to walk again in this life. But… but… thank God." Luna's voice stuttered as she stared in disbelief. "Can you really walk again?"
Henry gave a chuckle and directly stood up on the wooden bed in one go. With his hands on his waist, he gave a prideful smile.
Luna began jumping in joy while clapping with tears.
Henry slowly got down and wiped her tears.
"Don't be so happy, wife. Even though I got my legs… I'm not the powerful wizard like my previous self." Henry replied while holding her.
"It's okay… now we can both work together and live a happy life without any worries. Together, earning a spirit stone is not a big matter for us." Luna replied as she melted in his hands.
"Don't worry about that silly spirit stone. Let's go. It's time to take a tour around the house and let the rest of my family know of my existence." Henry replied as he picked the cloak on the side.
"Are you sure? Many of your family won't be happy after knowing that you can walk again. Especially Philip. He might use the previous situation to complain against you in the family hall." Luna replied in concern.
"I will handle everything. Also, I am eager to see this new world and the power structure." Henry muttered the last words in a low tone.
While holding Henry's hand, Luna followed him out.
Walking into the main hall, Henry immediately saw several elderly middle-aged men sitting in a semi-circle.
Almost everyone stood up in shock after seeing the casually walking Henry.
"..."
"..."
"Henry, how can you walk again? Aren't your legs…???"
"Am I dreaming?!!!"
"NO...!"
Before everyone could ask more questions, Henry casually raised his hands. "Don't worry, uncles. I can walk again. The good days are back to the Clark family."
"But how?!"
