It had already been a week since Mother was healed.
For the first three days, we stayed inside the Crestban Mansion so Mother could stabilize and fully recover. Those days were filled with nothing but warmth and laughter—Mother fussing over us, scolding us affectionately, and trying desperately to make up for the two years she wasn't by our side.
Of course, she asked how we found the cure.
Uncle repeated the same explanation I had given him—the "dream."
Mother believed it without hesitation. She was unbelievably proud of me… and excited. Because everyone in the Tower would pay any price for a cure of this level.
For me, it was an opportunity too. A massive one.
We discussed how to sell the potion and divide the profits. After a long and serious family meeting, we reached a conclusion:
The Crestban Family would handle production and sales inside the Tower. Payment would be accepted only in World Points.
Profit split: 50–50 between Vormir and Crestban.
Asking for payment in World Points was absurd—borderline insane. But Uncle believed that even the highest-ranking powerhouses would pay without argument. Abyss Corruption was too rare, too feared, and too incurable.
To them, even an Epic-rank potion that worked was priceless.
Since I'm not awakened yet, I can't check my personal World Points, but based on the Tower's recognition alone, I should have earned at least 20 points as the creator of the cure.
World Points were the Tower's greatest currency. Mana stones were used for everything else—but World Points could buy things directly from the Tower itself.
With enough of them…an awakened could even revive after death.
Though with restrictions, of course.
On the fourth day, we returned to Vormir City. The remaining days passed quietly—full of family time, warm meals, and moments I never knew I craved.
Now, I was sitting in my room. The sun was low, the sky painted orange. Evening had arrived, and I had nothing particularly urgent left to do.
To begin my long-term plans, I needed to take the first step:
Awaken.
And after awakening, enter the Novacter Awakened Academy.
The main plot of the original story began there—the academy and the Tower together forming the heart of the narrative.
Inside the Academy, nobody would question my personality changes or sudden talents. And more importantly, nearly every important character would be gathered in one place.
The Novacter Awakened Academy was built between the three domains of Novacter—founded jointly to nurture elite awakeners and prepare them for the Tower. Many academies existed, but this one was the oldest, the strongest, and the most respected.
Every year, millions applied.
Only 1,000 were accepted.
But that was still far in the future.
Right now, I needed to prepare my training schedule. With Mother fully healed, I no longer had to worry about political affairs or county responsibilities.
As Uncle said—foundation was everything.
My current body was… unimpressive. Based on my condition, my stats were probably around 4 to 5 in each category. Weak. Barely above average.
I stood up from my bed, filled with a quiet determination.
Enough planning.
It was time to train.
I turned and walked toward the mansion's training hall.
Aldric POV
A notification screen glowed in front of me.
========================— Quest Failed —Arthur von Vormir's ChangeObjective: System detected unusual change in Arthur's soul.Status: FAILED
I stared at it, confused.
It had already been four days since Arthur, Asher, and Aunt left our home.
For the three days they stayed here, I did everything I could to observe Arthur. I watched him closely—his movements, his habits, his reactions.
But everything seemed normal.
Absolutely normal.
"What the hell, Noir? What was this quest even about?" I asked silently in my mind.
A soft, gentle voice—Noir, the system's spirit—answered calmly.
[ System confirms that a major change did occur in the soul of Arthur Von Vormir. It is as if his soul has… completed itself. ]
Completed?
A chill crawled down my spine.
"What do you mean by completed?"
[ System believes that a previously missing or damaged part of Arthur's soul has somehow returned. ]
My eyes widened.
"What…? What the hell happened to him?"
[ System suggests the host stop worrying about Arthur and focus on his own foundation training. ]
Before I could ask anything else, another soft chime echoed.
