Another night , seems usual, just as he remembers it's his birthday, 18 years, not one single day he spent with his parents; covered in hatred and disgust. In these 18 years he is still unsure what is wrong in him, everyone seems so contentful then what is he lacking ?
He sat by the pavilion , the old breeze swishing his golden night robes. He had restless nights that's why he sleeps very little. He can't sleep while dreaming about his own bloodline drowning, the moon....his curse holder, it's so beautiful, so significant, can it actually curse ? Just because ancestors believed it , does it have to be always true ? What if he is untainted all this time ?
The thought gave him chills...getting all the unfairness for no reason. He stared into the night sky , it has been his hobby since childhood when no one watched over him , he found peace in darkness. Nothing in him is royal despite belonging to the royal bloodline. He never felt special, never spent his time on Tsukiyomi Palace, the subjects of Kagegiri are nice, kind hearted and he can understand their concern since they can do nothing but believe the curse and disgust him but he never saw them like that, he always treated them with just, consideration and love.
It's his birthday night, there is nothing special about his birthday . He just remembers every year only one night the moon glows too bright and later turns red and he knows it's his birthday.
Sometimes , he wants to see his mother once again but that thought only makes me more sick because he was raised that way , he was impure for the palace. But still deep down, having a family and being abandoned is hard. His father has also reduced the visitings . It's like he is left alone to love but he don't want to live.
IN TSUKIYOMI PALACE –
Reika kagetsu, her majesty, is sitting in her chambers her royal robes accumulated around her knees , she is reading some scrolls under moonlight, she mutters, "the moon is too bright today, seems like he is 18 years old now." She sighs and looks outside the window.
"His majesty hasn't paid a visit to him in a few months, I wonder what's troubling him lately." Reika said her voice was laced with concern. As night deepens, reika notices Masanori (his majesty) hasn't come to his chambers to retire for the night. She gets up from her futon, her thin white night robes gliding behind her as she searches the hallways.
Suddenly her feet stop right before the royal library. She doesn't enter right away. She listens because masanori was talking with someone.
