Chapter 7.5: Kasaru's Dilemma

It was currently raining lightly, the sky a full monotone grey color with patches of sunlight peeking through in streaks. Kasaru was out on a walk, trying to get last nights altercation out of his mind. He walked with an umbrella to stop the rain from hitting him as he walked by the walls of the sanctum, his hand trailing over them as he felt the wet stone bricks. He stopped and sighed as he moved his umbrella to look up at the sky.

"The world is continuing to frighten and scare me in ways I cannot explain, being the container of an ability I don't fully understand was one thing, but everything that's creeping up now is just proving to be too much to bare."

He spoke quietly as he shut his eyes, he continued to rub his fingers against the wall. He winced and crouched down against it, watching the few people pass by as he stared at the water as it ran into the drains.

"Thank you father…whatever you were. I don't know if I mean that in a mocking tone or a truthful one, I hate you for being absent. Wherever you may be, Mom doesn't like talking about it much, but I feel like I can use what I inherited from you if I was just a bit more confident."

He zoned out as he spoke, he felt the sprouting of black feathers creeping up the back of his neck as he spoke about his father, once he finished they settled back into his flesh, he sighed out, chuckling a little. He just wanted to sit here for a bit, it didn't harm anyone if he did, right?
