Atsui had limped over and picked up Heiwa, grunting in pain as he limped back to the tree, he attempted to carry her further but he slouched down next to the tree and held her in his arms, despite the motivation of his goals he still felt a care for Heiwa. The make instinct every man intrinsically had inside of them. The one that wanted to protect and care for women. A dangerous emotion and psychology he knew he'd have to get over. His blood leaked puddles from his leg, his body felt cold as he drifted in and out of consciousness. His plan was banking on Heiwa's eventual awakening
A few minutes later Heiwa woke up in sudden shock as she looked at Atsui. "A-Atsui!..What happened?!" She kneeled down and looked at his wound, frightened at the sudden scene. The hit had knocked her head loose, she couldn't remember their initial conversation much as it was a blur.
Atsui looked up at her weakly. His orange eyes were dimming as the time that it took for Heiwa to wake up was enough to lose a lot of his blood. "Kokujin..hecame after us... he wanted me dead... he took you out first but I fought him off... he fled from the scene but they're after us Heiwa...H-Heiwa..." He put his hand on her cheek, he laid back weakly against the tree.
"K-Kokujin?! No!...I-It can't be..but why?!...Why would he do this?!"
Atsui winced as he tried to move, grunting in pain as he did so. "I-It's...to get rid of us...delete the lower beings...the ones that don't matter to the system..." Atsui looked back into Heiwa's eyes. "R-Run... get out of here... you have to stay safe Heiwa..."
"I'm not going to leave you! I have to get to the bottom of this!..." She tried to drag Atsui with her as she moved, running for any nearby building for help. Coincidentally for Teisei's plan the fields housed no buildings. Nobody lived in the spirit world's fields.
Atsui groaned out in pain, he put his other hand on his wound and held it "Satsujin... the mortal girl…she'll help us... we need to get to Satsujin..." He weakly said as the pain and blood loss had made his body weak.
"S-Satsu?! I can't trust them! They're an outsider! What if they're working with them?! I-I can't think straight. Someone in onigawara will heal you! Just hold on."
Atsui's eyes rolled weakly left and right, as his body was being dragged, he spoke out weakly once again. "No... Onigawara will... just kill me...Satsujin... she'll help..."
Heiwa was panicking. "I don't know where she is! Where?! Where?!" She had given up trying to bring him all the way. She looked right and left anxiously searching around.
Atsui weakly exhaled the last words "The... Pond" His Mana was being broadcasted at this moment just for Satsujin. He concealed it from the rest with his serpent's passive abilities. The manipulation of his mana was perfectly crafted over the ages for selective manipulation. Something deeper awaited within his body but that was hidden for a better purpose...
Satsu had arrived at the scene a few minutes later. "A-Atsui! You never broadcast your Mana Signature like that! What's going on?!" She kneeled down and tended to his wounds, Heiwa panicking at everything that was happening before her.
Atsui let Satsujin heal the fallen spirit warrior, the plan in motion was the only thing on his mind, he awoke not too long after the healing process "Satsujin... thank you..." He sat upright looking over to Heiwa. "See Heiwa... outsiders aren't even here to hurt us... Onigawara is searching for us now...it won't be long before they come back with more people..."
"W-Why?!..." Heiwa started to tear up as she covered her face. "Why is this happening to us?! We should be together!..We're all family..This.." She looked down with a sad look. "This is terrible...the worst case scenario."
Atsui shook his head and struggled to stand up to comfort Heiwa. "This isn't good Heiwa... we need to get away from here. Somewhere safe."
"W-What? Where are we going? What's going on? W-Where are you taking me?" Heiwa quivered in fear at the idea he had presented. It had still made no sense why Onigawara would want to clean out the lower beings in the hierarchy, politically, socially or structurally it made zero sense. She would never suspect Atsui of lying though. That was a greater sin than even the betrayal that they had allegedly displayed in the current time.
"We'd have to go with Satsujin... there's nothing else that can be done here for us here.. we'll be killed if we stay."
Heiwa stopped in motion. Her mind ran wild. Almost like she had immediately obtained a migraine. She looked on in sadness. ".We can try. Whatever I need to do to keep you safe..."
"The real world huh...." Atsui turned his head to Heiwa, looking at her once again. "Didn't ever think we'd go there. All we've seen is pictures in books."
Satsu unsheathed her small blade. She delicately sliced across the air, almost in a brush motion. Being the daughter of a God, she was able to cut through space and time itself. She was one of the only beings in the current landscape that could effortlessly cross the astral plane between the two worlds. "Step through here. We'll be able to handle business. Heiwa, I welcome you in my arms. I had heard rumors but I never guessed this would be the truth. This attack will not go unpunished. We will seek vengeance for Atsui's murder attempt. We will restore balance to your home. I swear on my heart."
Atsui nodded, he walked through the portal into the real world. Now with four members, the group grew closer to destroying everything that sat in their path, and with it, they would usher in an entirely new world.
