He was diligent, humorous, and fascinating—I adored him deeply.
Even after accepting my fate as an Administrative Deity, I continued to silently watch over him.
I watched him marry, grow old, and pass away.
I knew we belonged to two entirely different worlds—
this affection could never bear fruit.
