Chapter 8 - soren

Hello, my name is Soren. As you know, I have a twin brother named Angi. He's a real little angel. Since our parents kicked us out, we've taken care of each other for five years. At first, I was really surprised when Angi revealed that he also liked men, but part of me was relieved to know that I wasn't alone.

So I made a survival plan for us without our parents. Angi was well-behaved and obedient. He did everything I asked and followed me everywhere. He was truly the perfect little brother every big brother dreams of having.

But I also noticed that even though Angi followed me everywhere, he showed no interest in clubs or bars, and as for romantic relationships, we can forget about it. I think Angi has become too dependent on me.

After our last night at the bar, I decided to talk to him about it and also introduce him to my boyfriend. But I was a little too excited and drank too much. When I woke up the next morning, I realized I had gone into Angi's room again during the night.

"Ah… I'm really so stupid."

So I made a decision: I was going to become stricter with my beloved Angi for his own good. Giving him a little privacy would do him good, I was sure of it. So I came up with a little plan in my own way. First, I would pretend that the car had broken down. I would call Dany in advance—Dany is my mechanic friend. Angi knows nothing about cars, so it would be easy. I needed Angi to go back home on his own. I was sure he would think I was angry because of the car.

Then, I would take him to a place he really hates, like the sleazy bar. And that's exactly how my plan worked. I didn't even need to say much—he was already upset. So I quickly went into the club before he could start crying and beg me to leave with him.

I had a date with my boyfriend, and from the very beginning, the idea of taking a gap year was just an excuse on my part to be separated from Angi for a while.

Actually, I should introduce my boyfriend. His name is Sohan Katara, the second child of the Katara family. And like all rich kids, Sohan is arrogant and naïve. I wonder how I could fall in love with him. We've been together for a year now, but I've never told Angi about him.

After Sohan and I spent the whole day together, we really had a great time. After our date, we went back to the bar around seven in the evening. We danced a little more, and at eight, Sohan had to leave because his taxi was coming to pick him up. I walked him outside. The taxi hadn't arrived yet, so we were talking for a bit.

Just as I was about to kiss Sohan, I heard a voice calling out my name.

"Soreeeen!!! Soreeeen!!!"

Without a doubt, it was my beloved Angi. I was about to turn around to look at him, but Sohan stopped me.

"What are you doing? Huh? Did you forget your plan or what?"

Soren: "No! But… Angi…"

I didn't know what to say.

"Listen to me, you promised you would spend more time with me."

It was true. Sohan was jealous of Angi, and he had advised me to stay away from him for a while. He was the one who told me to give him some space. But I couldn't ignore Angi screaming my name—I wasn't that cruel. Just as I was about to answer Angi, Sohan grabbed my T-shirt and gave me a long kiss. I couldn't resist the temptation.

After a moment, his taxi arrived and he had to leave. But before leaving, he told me:

"Soren, stick to the plan. Don't do something stupid."

Soren: "Alright, don't worry. Have a good night. See you tomorrow."

"Okay, I booked you a hotel room near the bar. Go there and don't go home."

After that, he went home, and I immediately went back into the bar without looking back. I don't want to be cruel to Angi. I just want him to be happy—but less dependent on me.

Sohan said he would make arrangements to send him a phone. I trust him with that. Between my little brother and the love of my life, choosing was too easy for me. I'm sure you would do the same. Besides, a lover gives you more than a brother ever could… if you know what I mean.

Today is the second day of our gap year, and I still haven't gone home. Sohan, on the other hand, isn't answering my messages. I hope nothing happened to him. We were supposed to meet at the bar around seven, but he didn't show up. I stayed until eight, but still no one. I tried calling him, but he didn't answer.

Since he wasn't responding, I decided to secretly go visit Angi. I was really excited to see him again after one day without him. But when I arrived at the apartment, Angi wasn't there. It was eight in the evening, and Angi never stays out at night. Where could he be?

So I ran back outside to look for Angi. I searched everywhere in vain—I couldn't find him. Neither Sohan nor Angi were anywhere to be seen. So I returned to the bar, and that's where I saw Sohan. I immediately ran toward him, but when I reached him, he was covered in injuries. I rushed to hold him in my arms and asked who had dared to do that to him.

He told me that he had met a boy the night before who had attacked him for no reason, but I shouldn't worry—his big brother would take care of him. I was relieved to hear those words, but I still had the same question: where was Angi?

Maybe I was worrying for nothing. Maybe he was with a friend. At least Sohan is with me—I'm not worried anymore.
