Chapter 8 - Mind your business

Soo Jin sat on the bed with a book, feeling a little bored. He and Min Jae had similar personalities; both were introverted and preferred silence.

He glanced at Min Jae, who was focused on his laptop. He could tell he was reading.

Knock!

A knock disrupted the quiet atmosphere.

"Who is it?" Soo Jin asked as he stood up, since he was near the door.

"It's me, Young Master," a familiar voice replied.

Soo Jin immediately recognized the owner of the voice.

His driver.

With a few clicks, the door unlocked, and he pushed it open, revealing a young man.

"Young Master," the man bowed, pushing the luggage forward slightly. "I brought your things."

Soo Jin nodded as he took the luggage from his driver, pushing it into the room.

The driver did not follow him inside. "Madam said I should give you this," he said, taking a gold card from his wallet. "No limit."

Soo Jin nodded as he took the card without saying anything.

The driver was used to his silence, so he bowed and left.

Soo Jin entered, shutting the door behind him.

"Who was that?" Min Jae asked, his eyes catching the luggage in Soo Jin's hand.

"My driver," Soo Jin replied.

Min Jae nodded. "Should I help you with that?" he asked, pointing to Soo Jin's luggage.

"No, no need," Soo Jin shook his head. He didn't like people touching his things.

Min Jae nodded and turned back to his laptop.

Soo Jin dragged his luggage to the wardrobe space and dropped it on the floor, then zipped it open.

He pulled the wardrobe door open and began folding his clothes inside.

The room was silent and peaceful. The atmosphere was nice.

Half an hour later, a knock disrupted the peaceful atmosphere.

Knock!

"Who is it?" Soo Jin asked with a sigh—a disadvantage of staying near the door.

No response.

"Who is it?" he asked again, thinking the person might not have heard.

But still, no response.

"If you don't talk, I won't open," Soo Jin threatened.

But the person remained silent and continued knocking.

Soo Jin was about to ignore them.

"Let's see who it is," Min Jae said, curiosity in his eyes.

With a sigh, Soo Jin pulled the door open.

He looked at the person in front of him, speechless.

Min Jae adjusted to see the person clearly. Recognizing the familiar figure, he only shook his head and went back to his laptop.

"Hi," Ji Woo grinned from ear to ear. "Do you want to join me for dinner?"

"Why are you here?" Soo Jin asked, giving Ji Woo a glare.

"Let's have dinner together," Ji Woo said in a pleading voice.

"No," Soo Jin bluntly rejected as he walked back to his luggage to continue his work. He didn't bother trying to convince Ji Woo to leave, as he already understood how stubborn he was.

Ji Woo didn't listen and followed behind Soo Jin. "Please."

"No."

Soo Jin continued rejecting him as he picked up his clothes to fold into the drawer. The pile of clothes was already decreasing.

Ji Woo's eyes lit up as he picked up one of Soo Jin's shirts, planning to help him fold.

Soo Jin's eyes widened. "What are you doing?" he asked coldly.

The sudden change in Soo Jin's voice made Ji Woo freeze in shock.

"I don't like people touching my things," Soo Jin said as he pulled the shirt from Ji Woo's grip and flung it into the trash bin.

"Why would you do that?" Ji Woo asked, shocked.

"You touched it, so I can't wear it," Soo Jin said, as if it were obvious.

"You could have at least given it to me. Why would you throw clothes into the bin?" Ji Woo gave him a glare as he walked to the bin to retrieve the shirt.

"What are you doing?" Soo Jin asked.

"Picking up the shirt. I can wash it and reuse it."

"Reuse? It's already in the trash."

"I can rewash it," Ji Woo said as he was about to grab the shirt when he was held back and pulled away.

"If you want a shirt, I can give you one. Don't pick dirty things out of the trash," Soo Jin whispered softly.

The sudden pull shocked Ji Woo, and he landed against Soo Jin's chest. So warm, he thought to himself. He wanted to stay there forever.

"Are you hearing me?" Soo Jin asked, looking at the absentminded Ji Woo on his chest.

"Mm," Ji Woo muttered, uninterested.

"What are you doing?" Soo Jin asked, pushing him off his chest. Why did he suddenly feel nervous because of Ji Woo's shameless act?

"Nothing," Ji Woo said, scratching his neck in embarrassment. It was like an instinctive reaction.

The matter of the clothes in the bin died down.

Ji Woo sat on the chair, watching as Soo Jin folded his clothes into his drawer.

It took Soo Jin about 15 minutes before he was done.

"Can we go eat now?" Ji Woo asked, his palm on his stomach.

"I'm not going anywhere. You can go by yourself."

Ji Woo pouted. "But I don't like eating alone."

"What about your roommate?"

Ji Woo snorted. "Don't even talk about him," he said, obviously still holding a grudge.

Soo Jin could sense the bitterness in his voice. "What did he do to make you angry?"

"He pulled and squeezed my ear," Ji Woo eagerly complained, touching his ear.

"You deserved it."

Ji Woo was about to argue when his stomach grumbled.

Grrrrr.

"My stomach is complaining," he said, touching his stomach.

Soo Jin sighed. "Let's go, but this is the last time."

"Yes," Ji Woo nodded, but his fingers were crossed behind his back. "We're going to have dinner. Should we get something for you?" he asked the quiet Min Jae.

"No need," Min Jae waved his hand.

"Are you sure—" Ji Woo didn't get to finish as he was pulled out of the room. In the blink of an eye, he found himself outside.

"Learn to mind your business," Soo Jin said, adding a glare.
