The man's pupils immediately dilated, his face turning red with anger as the woman beside him scoffed.
"It's serious, Acier." He said with narrowed eyes, pulling out a long golden revolver with giant Chinese dragons drawn intricately on its barrel.
Acier's lips parted, "This…. I… This isn't a screenplay?" His complete silence answered what she dreaded.
"W–what should I do? You will protect me, right, Sue! I can pay you any amount you want!" Acier asked, fanatically looking around, clutching on Sue's elbow with both her arms.
"I would appreciate if you could inform the guards," Sue said politely as he pulled out his arm from her grip, his salesman demeanour completely vanishing.
His eyes suddenly moved to the barrel we were hiding behind, startling Acier. He noticed the bloody footprints I had left.
She nodded repeatedly before breaking into a sprint towards the door.
Well, that's a problem… I wasn't sure about just the man, and now guards were coming too. A part of me wanted to just strike the woman down.
She was an average human whom I could reach and even kill in a single movement. Then I can fight the man head-on silently. Guards would still come to investigate his disappearance I guess, but would still give a lot more time.
With a little more thought and a sigh, I decided to stick to the plan. I already said the big words to Alya; it would be too embarrassing if I took that much risk and got caught.
I just need to make it quick. With a quick look through the walls, I confirmed that the area this cell was in was huge.
The woman, even with the curves, definitely wasn't fit, while wearing a Victorian long dress that reached below her feet, weighing more than fifteen kilos if I had to guess.
Then add her mindset. Even though she began running, she seemed like the type to not give much fucks about others. Right now, she just got to get to safety. She will soon slow down, definitely.
The wooden barrel was in the right corner of the giant room, surrounded by different torture devices. Locating me perfectly should be quite a hassle. The footprints showed only the general direction; why I had leapt.
He walked slowly, watching every inch of the corner cautiously. One by one, he checked every machine with the revolver pointed and lantern raised.
First, the giant table with katanas, then under that table, before moving to a chair with one foot long spikes everywhere on the seat and armrests, as if trying to discern what I had done to get that.
He finally got to the pillar where Alya was tied to, taking mental notes of the cut rope and missing dagger.
He was extremely cautious, and we were worth a lot of money, being the finest and rarest commodity in the world. He wanted us alive. These were the two weaknesses I needed to exploit if I desired a perfect victory.
In just a few seconds, he was standing a foot away from the wooden barrel. My heart pounded loudly in my ears. He had extended his arms from that distance, pointed the revolver straight at the barrel's cover lid, right where Alya's head was.
Checking the barrel should be the hardest part of the job. I could be hiding inside, preparing an ambush with my vampire strength when he got closer.
After staring at it for a while, he shook his head disdainfully. He had checked everything else in the corner, so me being here was the most probable thing. Without hesitation, he lowered the long revolver, and an echoing click rang.
Before he could fully press the trigger, though, I threw the small rat out of my trousers' pocket on my left side with a devious grin.
Bang!
The little rat was instantly shot, his head disappearing from his body as his small body lost all strength, falling limply beside me.
His aim… I chuckled to myself bitterly. I needed to play this perfectly. One mistake, and I will be that rat.
He moved again, about to adjust the revolver back on the lid
and fill the wooden barrel with as many bullets as that revolver could shoot.
"I might need to delay my deal with Acier." He sighed in resignation; the products were about to be damaged badly.
But before he could point it back, I shoved my hand under the wooden barrel in one quick motion, the bright golden revolver moving much more slowly to my eyes.
Just as the revolver reached the barrel lid—
Thamm!!
"Gahh, Ahh!"
Thirty-two teeth flew separately across the massive room, piercing through the air with bleeding arcs. The revolver fell on the stone ground with a thud.
He clutched his face, taking short, rapid breaths as he stumbled to his knees. Well, I expected nothing less from getting hit by a wooden barrel weighing more than eighty kilograms.
Alya was tall and very thick in the right places, so no wonder she weighed around seventy. What was more surprising was how I could handle it all.
I shifted the barrel from the underhand grip to my shoulder and smashed Sue right in the face without waiting. The blow flattened his nose, and now he was fully on the ground, wincing and groaning, without even a second to register what had happened.
I stood over his chest, his body trembling as I grinned, "An an about to be sex slave, I would really love to fuck you up!" His lips parted.
BAMMM!! BAM! THAM!
…
Hope Alya is okay in there. I prayed as I smashed the barrel for the twentieth time on Sue's head. His features were completely gone, only blood, smashed pieces of his brain matter and flesh replacing them.
Satisfied, I finally stopped, taking a deep breath. Surprisingly, I didn't feel much at the sight of what I'd just done. My pain tolerance was already surprising, but I guess becoming a vampire has really distanced me from my human nature…
My fists clenched as I placed the barrel on the side. Hopefully, it's not a bad thing.
"Lest… I am to be hurt… You will…" My pupils dilated at a weak, shaking voice. How the fuck is he alive?
And, …To be?!Bitch… Take a little look at yourself! I immediately lifted the barrel again.
