The scene jumped to seven days later.
Gilgamesh was still working as always, holding court over clay tablets.
So much work that he hadn't noticed time passing.
"My king, today is the day Lady Ishtar comes to… marry you. What do you plan to do?"
Siduri stood behind the throne. Seeing him still buried in work, her eyes ached.
"Hm?" Gilgamesh didn't pause, flipping tablets as he spoke.
"That goddess is just indulging herself. I don't need to care. I don't have time to play with her."
"Then at least rest. You haven't slept properly these days."
"Hahaha…" Gilgamesh laughed.
"This is nothing. These days are critical. How's the irrigation inspection? The hybrid wheat should be ready to harvest, yes?"
"Everything's fine, my king. Only your personal inspection remains."
"Good. With time like this, why would I play house with that useless goddess instead of doing something that benefits me—"
"Gilgamesh! Badmouthing this goddess behind my back again?"
Ishtar's voice came from the ceiling.
Boom!
Dust erupted as she strode in.
"Hahaha, Ishtar. What nonsense are you spouting?"
Gilgamesh set the tablets aside and had Siduri take them away.
He looked down at her with arrogant laughter.
"Come with me. Don't make me use force, or else—"
Ishtar summoned her heavenly boat and walked toward him.
"Useless goddess, I'll give you a chance. Beg me to marry you, and I might grant you a title."
Gilgamesh snapped back instantly.
"You!" Ishtar flared, ready to attack.
"Trash. Six years ago you couldn't beat me. Now you're even less capable!"
A magic book floated before Gilgamesh, divine authority rolling off him.
Ishtar knew she couldn't take him quickly, so she spat a threat:
"Gilgamesh, just wait. I'll make you beg me to marry you!"
She rocketed out through the roof.
Comments flooded in.
[LOL this useless goddess is comedy. She walked in and immediately ran away.]
[Even if it's not accurate, I'm already watching—why care about real history? I support their romance!]
[Hero King vs Ishtar is so cool. He was a beautiful youth before—now he's a beautiful adult. That muscle line—ahh.]
[Guys, please calm down, don't pollute the air.]
[I know what happens next. Ishtar gets rejected and unleashes a calamity. Enkidu dies in it.]
[What?! Little Enkidu is so cute… he dies?]
Illya gasped.
"So kingly. He's already showing the Sage-King vibe. After losing his friend, does he go dark?"
Kitano, who had just finished cleaning with Sakura, walked over and saw this scene, feeling oddly embarrassed.
Back then his missions were fewer, so he'd acted extra chuuni.
Seeing it now… pure black history.
In the video, after being rejected, Ishtar borrowed the Bull of Heaven from her father and released it onto Uruk.
On Uruk's walls, Gilgamesh stood watching the Bull rampage below.
Enkidu stood at his right.
Siduri went to the temple to pray to Ishtar.
"Hero King, I'll help. Please don't dislike it. I don't want the people to suffer."
Enkidu looked at the terrified citizens behind him, then at the bull.
"Hahaha. Of course. I didn't feed you for years just to waste my grain."
Gilgamesh laughed wildly. Golden ripples shimmered behind him.
After six years, Enkidu had become a warrior second only to Gilgamesh.
"Come, let me see how strong this so-called Bull of Heaven really is."
Roar!
The Bull was enormous.
If the walls hadn't been reinforced over the years, it would have devastated the city.
Even its roar alone shook all of Uruk.
People panicked, but guards guided them in order to the square.
Siduri hurried over to calm and reassure them.
"Hmph. This Bull brings drought and disaster, threatening my people's harvest and health. How dare it!"
Gilgamesh snorted and leapt down from the wall.
"Uruk is mine. What's mine, no one touches—not even gods!"
Golden ripples flared, each flash sending a weapon flying.
They rained down like bullets.
Bang!
They struck the Bull yet did nothing. Most bounced off.
The Bull stomped; the earth quaked, even the walls shuddering.
It lowered lightning-wreathed blue horns toward the walls.
"Enkidu, finish it in one burst!"
Gilgamesh saw normal attacks were useless and decided to go all-out.
"Understood!"
Enkidu leapt into the air, white robes fluttering.
Gilgamesh reached into the golden ripples.
A golden hilt emerged—
then a red-black blade.
The Key of Babylon's treasury.
The Sword of Rupture, Ea.
A weapon that existed before the concept of swords, with a three-segmented cylindrical body rather than a normal edge.
