Chapter 7 - chapter 6

Velzard pov

I watched in slow motion as the hand moved towards my head in an attempt, which I knew was futile, to remove my helmet from my face, as the shield was magical and could only be removed by my own will.I thought,

'Why do all the main characters have to meet this kind of scum? I mean, is it a built-in norm in fantasy worlds?'

So before his hand could touch my head I grabbed it before he even noticed and when he saw me holding his hand his expression changed

"What the-" *crick* Before he could finish his words I smashed his arm into a mixture of blood and bone "Aaaahhhh"(Imagine what conqueror did to Mark of Invincible)

His scream filled the hall, attracting all eyes to him,

"You bastard, let him go!!"

When he saw his companion's crushed hand with the bone visible in the air.

Blood was flowing profusely, he didn't flinch or freeze from fear and surprise, but rather got angry and threw a punch towards Velzard (where is the damn logic in this nonsense) which she easily dodged by moving her body to the side.

She followed that with a direct punch to his face which he couldn't dodge, so his teeth flew out and his nose was broken.

He then flew across the hall, crossing several tables, falling to the floor unconscious and bleeding.

I saw his two companions bleeding on the floor, the third's eyes widened and a cold sweat filled his face as he took a step back, tripping over a wine glass and falling on his butt.

Velzard looked at him with a face distorted with horror, as if he was in front of a predatory monster that could crush him with just the thought.

He immediately regretted messing with this terrifying existence.

"What is going on here? Someone explain."

A loud voice came from the top of the stairs, breaking the silence and drawing all eyes to him, even Velzard turned her head up to see an old man with fluffy hair and a white mustache, wearing simple clothes that seemed designed for movement, green with a light sleeveless jacket.

This was the guild leader, Ainzack Pluton.

Beside him stood Albert, confused by what he was seeing in front of him.

Two people covered in blood, one with a smashed hand, another unconscious, and the third sitting on the ground with a yellow liquid underneath him.

He remained in this state for a few seconds as he examined the strange scene.

Directly below them lay the team members in the same state, even though they had been there the whole time and hadn't noticed anything.

"How? We only left him for two minutes and he already had a fight!" Adam said with his jaw hanging open in shock.

"I have no idea. On the other hand, he did a good job.

Those three are always bothering the rookies and stealing from them. I don't know why they weren't put on the wanted list,"

Laura said with shock at first, but with relief and acceptance in the end.

"Those bastards just deserved what happened to them." She said, and the other people next to her agreed.

The guild leader didn't say a word and kept staring at Velzard with an analytical eye.

He knew how badly those three had acted and he was planning to punish them soon enough.

Or so he was planning to do before that armored man gave them what they deserved. (For clarity, Villzard in armor looked like a man.)

Albert face.

"Is this the one you were talking about?" Hearing the question, Albert nodded.

"Yes, he's the one who saved us before. We owe him our lives." His statement had several hints.

First, this man was good and not a bad person.

Second, he was strong enough to save a seasoned adventurer group and defeat several bandits.

Third, Albert would support him if a conflict broke out

. The guild leader sighed as he thought of the reports and problems he would have to deal with this situation.

"Okay then, you follow me upstairs so I can talk to you about it,"

he said, pointing at Velzard with his finger and He walked back to his office.

Receiving the signal she had been waiting for since entering this place, Velzard followed him to the second floor amidst everyone's eyes.

Upon entering the room owned by the guild leader, she found three chairs, one for the leader behind his desk, and one with Albert sitting on it. She automatically knew that the last one was hers.

After she sat down and made herself comfortable, Ainsack began his speech.

"I heard from Albert that you saved him and his squad, and for that, I am grateful to you."

He said, and Albert bowed their heads. "I have been informed of your situation, but I cannot give you a high rank just like that.

It is against the guild rules." He said in a serious tone.

'So there's no way to jump the ranks? *sigh* Well I should have expected that, that's a big ask.' I felt disappointed but with a bit of understanding.

"But there is a way for you to become a high rank directly.

But… this method is dangerous. Do you still want to try?" He said in a more serious tone than before.

Velzard paused for a moment, trying to process his words before a bright, big smile spread, oozing with cuteness that could make the cutest girls look like ghouls.

"Hey!! I'll definitely do it!" she said excitedly, making Albert and Ainzack's faces change.

It was unusual to hear a deep, masculine voice so excited as a young girl.

Velzard, seeing the change in atmosphere, blushed, only making her look much cuter, making any man who saw her instantly fall in love, be it a king or a commoner, and awakening their protective instincts towards her.

Unfortunately, she was wearing a helmet that hid her face, so it had no effect. She cleared her throat and said in a normal tone, "*Kuh-kuh* I agree to the mission, I am confident in my abilities."

She said with genuine confidence, with a hint of excitement to test her abilities in the field.

"Ah...ah, if that's your decision, I'll give you the task,"

Ainzack said, raking his hand through his desk drawer and taking out a piece of paper to place on the table.

"This is normally a task for Mithril-class and above. You either succeed or..."

His face took on a serious expression at the end of the sentence.

"It's okay, I'm not afraid. Just tell me what the task is." Velzard replied in the same serious tone.

"Ah, exactly as he said. So, Lord Veldora, the task is to defeat a group of 500 monsters, including trolls, goblins, and other monsters, within the borders of E-Rantel.

There should be an intelligent monster among them to gather all of these monsters and launch an invasion against us.

You must kill as many of them as possible, and your reward will be 5000 gold and based on the number of monsters you kill."

Ainzack said as he handed the task to Velzard who grabbed it and put it in her inventory

. The eyes of the two men widened but did not ask about that as everyone has their own secrets.

"I have a question, how will you know the exact number I have killed?"

Velzard asked about the most important thing, which is payment. You cannot live in any world without money.

"What?" Ainsack was actually surprised by this question. He thought the man in front of him (Velzard, as veldora) would ask something important or even withdraw from the mission.

Even though it was a high reward, its danger was no less high. But instead he asked him about the payment method.

This Tien with his serious appearance and personality made him laugh a little.

"Hahaha, you are really interesting, Mr. Veldora. If you are worried that we will miscalculate your reward, don't worry.

You can simply bring a part of the monster's body and it will be counted," he said with a smile.

Satisfied with that, Velzard shook hands with the guild leader and turned to go down, followed by Albert after bidding farewell to his old friend.

When they got down, they found most of the people had left, leaving only a few, including Adam and the others at a table, eating and talking animatedly and loudly.

Adam spotted them and waved, "Hey, buddy, over here, come on over!" After shouting for directions (which was practically useless), Velzard and Albert headed to the table and took their reserved seats.

"So, have I accepted your promotion?"

Drake asked, turning to Velzard.

"Sort of, I have to complete a mission first to get promoted." She replied relaxedly,

"Well, should we congratulate you already, youngest time to rank up? Hehe," Adam said, and the others laughed in agreement.

"Haha, I won't be doing the quest now. I have to find a place to stay first," said Velzard.

Her current problem: she doesn't have a place to sleep.

Although she doesn't need to sleep, her time as a human has made sleeping a comfortable habit for the mind.

Also, being in armor all the time is a bit annoying.

She just misses the feeling of air on her skin.

"In that case, here's this,"

Adam said, throwing her a bag. When she opened it, it was filled with silver and copper coins. Before Velzard could say anything, Laura beat her to it.

"Don't refuse. we agreed that you'd get a share of the reward. You saved us after all, and I don't think Albert would offer me that."

At this, everyone nodded in agreement with her words.

"Guys, I... really thank you. You've done a lot for me,"

Velzard said with genuine gratitude in her voice. The team smiled and continued their conversation.

Two hours later.

Velzard saw a building with a cup and mattress logo (I think) and despite what people had told her, this was a hotel.

She pushed the door open and entered a small reception area, behind which was a middle-aged woman with muscles on most of her body.

"Hello, customer. Tonight is five coppers and with dinner it's six." The woman greeted Velzard politely as she listed the prices. "One room please, and I've already had my dinner."

Velzard answered the woman, placing the coins on the table. The woman nodded and gave her a room key with the number three written on it.

Without waiting, she went up to her temporary room and closed the door.

"Okay relax this won't be as hard as fighting will it?"

she said worriedly looking towards the bathroom she really should take a shower she had been in the armor for two days and it smelled awful.

She took slow and stumbling steps towards the bathroom her heart beating faster with every step until she entered and closed the door behind her.

Activating her

'Universal Sense

' to monitor her surroundings then with trembling hands she brought up the inventory interface in front of her and pressed the option to remove equipment she pressed it and simultaneously a faint glow appeared in the armor on her body then the glow disappeared to reveal.....
