Sunlight gleamed.
He looked around slowly, jaw slackening as his eyes traced the world around him.Giant mega-structures floated in the air — metallic rings, ancient ruins, platforms suspended by nothing. And in the far distance stood a massive tree, something straight out of Greek legends.A holy tree.Sacred. Unreal.
He looked down at his hands.Flexed his fingers.Gripped them tightly.
A SYSTEM POP-UP flashed across his vision.

Huh… inner thoughts — so it really is like a game.
Another UI bar hovered at the left of his POV.
HP: 100 / 100Level: 5Weapons: NoneClass: None
He clenched his fist again, opening and closing his hand repeatedly. The pop-up vanished.
He noticed faint fragments scattered across the floor — glowing yellow dots forming a trail.
"I guess I follow this…?" he muttered.
He walked.Followed the trail. And it led him straight to a village.
It was full of people.
He looked around, confused, until he saw a mirror leaning against a wooden stall. He froze.
He stared.
Huh…?
He raised a hand to his face.Touched his cheek.Ran his fingers through his hair.
"What…the…HELL!?Who is that??That's not me—?"
He leaned closer, analysing the figure staring back at him through the reflection.
A young man with brown hair.Eyes pure white, except for pupils ignited with a yellow spark of flame.Tall. Slender.Alien to him — Adam had always been short.Slim, well-built, wearing a full black outfit.
He poked the mirror. The reflection poked back.
He sighed.
A voice behind him.
"Hello there — welcome, Adventurer Kang."
He turned.A man bowed politely.
A SYSTEM POP-UP appeared over the man's head.
Joe the Villager [NPC]
Blue and white text.
Another woman approached. Her title labelled her as:
Anna the Farmer [NPC]
"Hello Hero Kang," she said cheerfully. "Please accept my quest!"
Kang muttered under his breath.
"…Quest?"
A SYSTEM POP-UP flickered.
Collect 1000 water bottles and save sea life
YES
NO
He blinked."…Huh?"
A wolf howled in the distance.
Instantly, villagers scattered — the entire village going dead silent.
Joe and Anna froze.Literally.They didn't even blink as a wolf crept closer from between the trees.
Inner thoughts — a wolf…?
Both NPCs suddenly screamed in unison:
"Oh good lord PLEASE, Hero Kang, help us against this LEVEL 5 DIRE WOLF! I'M SO SCARED!!"
Another pop-up blinked.
TUTORIAL – Defeat the Dire WolfReward: 100 gold coins
YESNO
The wolf approached, growling.Small, rough black fur.Red eyes.
Kang scratched his head.
He clicked Yes.
SYSTEM POP-UP — ERROR.
He blinked—
And suddenly he was back in the white void again. The same blinding emptiness from when he chose his name earlier.
A message appeared.
We are sorry, User Kang.We have experienced a crash. You will be sent back shortly…
He laughed to himself while looking around the empty void.
"A crash? Seriously?"
A screen popped up in the white void.
Loading…
He blinked—
And he was back.
The village surrounded him again…But Joe the Villager and Anna the Farmer were nowhere to be seen.
The wolf stood in front of him, still labelled Level 5, frozen in place like its entire model had glitched mid-frame.
He let out a small laugh."…What the hell… is this?"
He scratched his hand, looking around.
Silence.
No villagers.No movement.No ambience.Just a dead, empty world.
A SYSTEM POP-UP appeared.
WORLD EVENT – ACTIVEEvery enemy faced will be demonfied and supercharged.EXCLUSIVE TO: Kang Jaehyun
"Huh…?"
He turned back toward the wolf—And noticed something different.
Inner thoughts:"…Level… 90?"
The sprite of the wolf stuttered violently, jittering between animation frames.
He blinked—
And it was no longer a small wolf.
"…What…"
His stomach dropped.
It transformed into a giant, towering creature standing upright on two legs.It wielded a blade — long, spiraled, jagged — almost like a unicorn horn forged into a weapon.Abyssal armour wrapped its body, forged from a material that looked wrong for this world…Cosmic.Star-like.Alive.
Its eyes glowed with a brilliant, unnatural purple.
It stepped closer.
Kang looked up as its name appeared above its head.
Azware – The Divine Star WolfElite.
He stumbled back as the creature advanced, each step shaking the ground beneath him—And its shadow swallowed him whole.
The Elite wolf raised its horn-blade, the air warping around it.
A faint ding echoed through the broken sky.
SYSTEM POP-UP — Goodluck.
