Chapter 2 – Wheel of Fate
The ground quaked beneath his feet.
Azware took another step forward — slow, heavy, deliberate — each movement twisting the dirt like it was rejecting the monster's existence. The air grew colder. The sky dimmed. Even the world engine seemed to lag under Azware's presence.
Kang stumbled backward, breath breaking into short, panicked bursts.
"No—no—no—no—what the hell is THAT?!"
He yelped, pointing at the towering wolf with a shaking hand.
Azware's violet eyes locked onto him.
The pressure alone made Kang's knees buckle.
Its horn-blade scraped the ground, sparks flying in ragged trails.
Every step sounded like thunder being swallowed.
Kang's voice cracked.
"Hey…
this…
isn't funny."
inner thoughts — the hell… the hell…
He spun around, desperately shaking his right hand open and closed like some VR input would magically activate a skill wheel.
Nothing happened.
He did it again.
Harder.
Faster.
Still nothing.
"COME ON—!! OPEN SOMETHING—!! A MENU— A SKILL— A BUTTON— ANYTHING!!"
His hand flailed in every direction.
Gestures.
Random swipes.
Double taps.
Nothing.
The UI didn't even flicker.
Azware growled — a low, cosmic rumble that vibrated through Kang's bones. He dropped instantly, scrambling backward, palms scraping across the dirt so hard the skin burned.
He threw a rock without thinking.
It hit Azware's chest with the world's most pathetic tick.
Kang froze.
Azware didn't even blink.
"Oh my god…" he whispered, voice shaking so hard it barely counted as a voice anymore.
"I'm dead. I'm actually dead. I JUST GOT HERE AND I'M GONNA DIE—!"
He slapped his hand across the UI again and again, opening the inventory tab at least twelve times.
Still empty.
Every click was a scream of desperation.

He laughed — a broken, breathless sound — and dropped to his knees as they scraped against the rough ground.
"This isn't funny… I was sent here and I don't even have a fucking weapon…"
Silence.
The Star Wolf walked closer, raising its blade.
"I'm going to die — just like before… I'm…
the worst type of trash."
inner thoughts — recyclable.
He checked his UI again.
Empty.
Empty.
Empty.
Empty.
His breath shattered.
His chest tightened.
He tried digging at the dirt like an animal, trying to burrow under something — anything.
His fingers bent painfully.
Soil filled beneath his nails.
He winced, half-crying, half-choking.
"PLEASE— PLEASE— PLEASE GIVE ME SOMETHING—!!"
Azware's shadow loomed over him.
Kang's mind went blank with pure primal terror.
His thumb slipped.
He slammed the screen.
And—
Something appeared.
One item.
Just one.
Wheel of Fate
Description: 9999 words… Scroll to view.
He didn't scroll.
He didn't breathe.
He didn't think.
He hit YES so many times his fingers blurred.
The UI lagged.
The world froze.
The sky flickered.
Then—
BOOM.
A gold shockwave burst beneath him, knocking Kang onto his back.
A massive sigil tore into the earth behind him — lines of molten light carving a circle with impossible speed. Dust blew outward like the air was exploding.
Kang covered his head with both arms, screaming.
"What… what the hell is happening?!"
The circle rose.
Metallic rings spun in the air.
Seven symbols ignited around the wheel.
Four glowed violently:
⚡ Thunder
🔥 Fire
💧 Water
🌬 Wind
Three stayed grey:
❄ Ice
🌑 Dark
✨ Holy
The wheel began spinning — violently, aggressively — like it was breaking.
Light blinded him.
Electricity shredded the air.
His ears rang.
His chest vibrated.
It stopped.
The Thunder symbol erupted.
Lightning cracked downward like the sky was tearing apart.
A blast of pressure hit him so hard he slid backwards across the ground.
"It hurts… it hurts… STOP!"
A voice boomed — not from the sky, not from the ground — but directly inside his skull.
"MORTAL."
Kang's scream died in his throat.
"STAND."
The lightning condensed into a silhouette.
A figure stepped out of the stormlight.
Four eyes.
Armor of swirling storm-clouds.
Hair made of white lightning threads dancing in the wind.
Feet cracking the ground.
Kang choked on his own breath.
"A—A g-god…?"
A name flickered above the figure:
AURELION – GOD OF FINAL THUNDER
Pantheon: UNKNOWN
Status: Partial Manifestation
Aurelion didn't look at him.
Didn't acknowledge him.
Didn't speak again.
He simply raised a hand—
And placed it on Kang's back.
Lightning detonated into Kang's spine.
His entire body convulsed.
His eyes rolled back.
He screamed so loudly his throat tore.
[VESSEL STATE – TEMPORARY]
Duration: 6 seconds
Drawbacks: UNKNOWN
He felt his muscles move without permission.
His legs straightened.
His back arched.
His arms snapped forward like they weren't his.
"What the hell—!!"
Aurelion moved.
Kang moved with him, dragged like a puppet chained to a god's shadow.
Azware lunged.
Aurelion clenched his fist.
Kang's fingers snapped into a fist without him commanding them.
Lightning spiraled around his arm.
The god's punch overlapped Kang's like a giant ethereal fist.
They struck together.
BOOOOOOOM.
The shockwave uprooted trees and split the ground into jagged cracks.
Azware was blasted backwards, crashing so hard the world engine stuttered.
Kang collapsed immediately.
Face-first.
Body trembling violently.
The lightning vanished.
The god dissolved into shards of white-blue light.
The Wheel dimmed.
The symbols faded.
Silence swallowed the field.
Kang lay on the ground, staring up at the warped sky.
"…I can't… do that again…"
A faint ding echoed.
Wheel of Fate – Thunder Charge Used
Cooldown: 72 hours
Pantheon Link: [Locked]
Kang turned his head weakly.
Azware was standing up.
Still alive.
Still towering.
Still furious.
Kang's eyes widened.
And he screamed.
The Wheel spun again.
Even faster.
Violent.
Chaotic.
It slammed to a stop.
Flame.
SYSTEM POP-UP
Kang Jaehyun
Skill Obtained: Cosmic Flame
Azware lunged.
Full speed.
Full intent to kill.
Its blade sliced the air inches from Kang's face—
And right then—
He felt it.
A pull.
A pressure.
A command that wasn't a command.
He flicked his finger.
Just a tiny flick.
One moment he saw:
"Level 90"
The next—
Nothing.
Azware froze mid-air.
Its body convulsed.
Then it screamed — a sound that didn't belong in any world.
Its fur ignited.
Not red.
Not orange.
Not normal flame.
A light-violet, ultraviolet fire, mixed with blue streaks and golden roots — burning like a cosmic infection.
"What… did I just do…?"
The flames didn't burn.
They consumed.
Armor.
Flesh.
Code.
Gone.
The monster collapsed.
Twisted.
Shrieked.
Cracked apart—
And evaporated into dust.
Kang stared at his hand.
A faint Wheel-shaped imprint glowed on the back of it.
He looked up.
The beast was gone.
Kang's hands trembled violently.
"I'm…
sorry."
A SYSTEM POP-UP flickered:

Kang blinked, whispering:

Another loading bar appeared.

Another screen flashed:

He looked around.
The Wheel was gone.
No fade-out.
No particles.
Just gone.
"…Huh…"
"Godspinner…?"
He lifted his head.
The sun dipped unnaturally fast behind the horizon, as if dragged down.
Night washed over the town in seconds.
Then—
System pop-up*
Collect 1000 plastic bottles to save the sea life

NO
Kang stared at it, blank.
He genuinely didn't know if the system was laughing at him…
or if he forgot to click yes on that stupid quest from earlier.
He kept looking at the sky.
