Far beyond the Veyris Empire.
Far beyond the Dream Root Pathways.
Far beyond the World Trees.
Far beyond every realm that had ever been discovered.
There existed a place that could not truly be called a place.
No stars existed there.
No dimensions.
No heavens.
No hells.
No life.
No death.
No creation.
No destruction.
Nothing.
And yet.
something remained.
Before the first dragon spread its wings.
Before the first god awakened.
Before the first realm formed.
Before fate, time, and causality existed.
There was a solitary existence.
Not a king.
Not a god.
Not a creator.
Simply the First Dreamer.
The being that would eventually become Kael Veyris.
Not the Kael who walked among the Empire.
Not the Kael who sat beneath the World Trees.
Not the Kael who laughed with his daughters.
But the ancient origin from which everything began.
For endless ages, it existed alone.
It observed nothing.
Because nothing existed.
It listened.
But there were no sounds.
It waited.
But time itself had not yet been born.
Eventually.
for the very first time.
it experienced something unfamiliar.
Curiosity.
And from that curiosity came imagination.
The First Dreamer imagined light.
And light appeared.
It imagined stars.
And stars appeared.
It imagined worlds.
And worlds appeared.
It imagined dragons.
And dragons appeared.
It imagined oceans, mountains, forests, civilizations, creatures, mysteries, and possibilities.
Reality expanded endlessly.
Creation flourished.
Countless ages passed.
Yet eventually.
the First Dreamer became bored.
Not because creation was imperfect.
But because it had already seen everything it had made.
Every possibility.
Every variation.
Every outcome.
So it made a decision.
Instead of observing from beyond existence.
it would enter existence.
Not in its entirety.
Only a fragment.
A vessel.
That vessel would one day be known as Kael Veyris.
A traveler.
An explorer.
A ruler.
A friend.
A father.
A husband.
Someone who could experience the worlds he had imagined.
Someone who could be surprised.
Because surprise was impossible for a being that already knew everything.
And thus Kael Veyris began his journey.
Not to conquer existence.
Not to rule it.
But to live within it.Meanwhile, in the present day, Kael sat beneath the branches of Ashvattha and the Universe Tree.
The evening breeze moved gently through the gardens.
Children laughed nearby.
The daughters continued their conversations.
The World Trees glowed softly.
For a brief moment, Kael looked toward the stars.
A strange feeling crossed his mind.
Not sadness.
Not joy.
A memory.
A distant memory older than worlds.
Ashvattha noticed.
You seem far away.
Kael smiled slightly.
Just remembering something.
The Universe Tree tilted her head.
Something important?"
Kael thought for a moment.
Then he looked toward the Empire.
Toward his daughters.
Toward his wives.
Toward the people living peacefully throughout the realm.
And smiled.
Not anymore.
Because regardless of what existed before creation.
what mattered now was the life that had grown afterward.
The First Dreamer may have imagined existence.
But Kael Veyris had come to love it.
And that was why he stayed.
Not because he had to.
But because among all the possibilities ever imagined.
this one was worth living.
