Chapter 886 - The Experiment of Origins

The Empire was peaceful.

Too peaceful.

The World Trees glowed softly.

The daughters played throughout the gardens.

Wukong slept on a branch.

Ignisia trained with her dragon flames.

And Kael Veyris sat alone.

Watching.

Thinking.

Bored.

Very bored.

After countless ages beyond ages.

After witnessing the birth and end of realities.

After transcending concepts such as evolution, growth, time, death, existence, nonexistence, narratives, frameworks, and all known forms of power.

There were very few things left that could surprise him.

Kael sighed.

"This is boring."

Wukong opened one eye.

"Uh oh."

Ignisia looked over.

"Why do I feel like something dangerous is about to happen?"

Kael stood.

"An experiment."

The entire Empire immediately became nervous.

Far beyond all realities.

Far beyond every narrative.

Far beyond every framework.

Kael raised one hand.

And created something new.

A Framework.

Then another.

A Narrative Structure.

Then another.

Laws.

Fate.

Cause and effect.

Destiny.

Space.

Time.

Life.

Death.

Reality.

Existence.

Dimensions.

Codes.

Concepts.

Stories.

Entire systems of existence appeared before him.

Not because they already existed.

Because Kael created them.

The structures expanded endlessly.

An entire multiversal ecosystem of rules.

All connected together.

All functioning perfectly.

The daughters stared in shock.

"He just made all that?"

Lyra blinked.

"Just because he was bored?"

"Apparently."

Ignisia crossed her arms.

"What are you planning?"

Kael smiled.

A dangerous smile.

"The structures will evolve naturally."

Ignisia raised an eyebrow.

"Evolve?"

Kael nodded.

"I want to see what happens."

Thousands of years passed inside the experimental framework.

Then millions.

Then billions.

Entire civilizations emerged.

Narratives formed.

Heroes rose.

Villains appeared.

Empires expanded.

Gods awakened.

Cosmologies grew.

The structures became increasingly complex.

The daughters watched everything unfold.

"It feels like we're watching history."

"It is history."

Then something strange happened.

The framework began evolving beyond its original design.

New laws emerged.

New forms of reality appeared.

New narrative systems were born.

The experiment was surpassing itself.

The structures continued climbing.

Higher.

Higher.

Higher.

Until they eventually reached Ignisia.

The Dragon Goddess smiled.

"Oh?"

The evolving framework recognized her existence.

And attempted to surpass her.

Ignisia laughed.

"Good luck."

The framework evolved.

Again.

Again.

Again.

Again.

Infinite adaptations.

Infinite transformations.

Infinite improvements.

The structures continued evolving beyond themselves.

Yet Ignisia remained ahead.

The framework evolved again.

Ignisia evolved beyond its evolution.

The framework adapted.

Ignisia transcended the adaptation.

The framework surpassed its previous limits.

Ignisia surpassed the concept of limits.

The daughters watched in amazement.

"How many times has she evolved now?"

"No idea."

Genesisra smiled.

"Ignisia's evolution isn't ordinary."

The daughters looked toward her.

Genesisra continued.

"She has evolved beyond evolution itself."

The framework attempted another leap.

Ignisia instantly stood beyond the destination it sought.

Then beyond that.

Then beyond that.

Then beyond that.

No matter how far the framework climbed.

Ignisia was already beyond it.

Not because she was chasing growth.

Because her very nature transcended the process.

The framework eventually gave up.

Its highest entities gathered.

Its greatest gods appeared.

And all of them looked toward Kael.

The true origin.

The creator.

The source.

The beginning.

The end.

Everything.

Nothing.

All possibilities.

All impossibilities.

The being at the foundation of everything.

One of the gods spoke.

"Can you evolve?"

Kael laughed.

The entire framework trembled.

Even the concept of evolution froze.

"I transcended evolution long before your framework existed."

Silence.

Absolute silence.

Kael continued.

"I am not something that evolves."

"I am the origin from which evolution emerged."

The framework shook violently.

The gods felt overwhelming realization.

Evolution.

Existence.

Reality.

Time.

Space.

Life.

Death.

Narrative.

Frameworks.

Stories.

Concepts.

Laws.

Fate.

Dimensions.

Creation.

Destruction.

All of them ultimately traced back to Kael.

Not as a ruler.

Not as a conqueror.

But as the origin.

The highest god of the framework fell to its knees.

"What are you?"

Kael looked toward the endless structures.

Then beyond them.

Far beyond them.

His voice remained calm.

"I am Kael Veyris."

The god waited.

Kael smiled.

"That's enough explanation."

Wukong immediately started laughing.

The daughters laughed too.

Even Ignisia couldn't stop smiling.

The highest god stood there completely confused.

"That's it?"

"That's it."

Moments later.

Kael erased the entire experimental framework.

Not out of anger.

Not out of hostility.

The experiment was simply finished.

The countless structures dissolved peacefully.

Returning to nothingness.

Kael looked satisfied.

"That was interesting."

Wukong jumped down from the tree.

"For you maybe."

Ignisia rolled her eyes.

"You created an entire system of existence because you were bored."

Kael nodded.

"Correct."

The daughters groaned.

Genesisra laughed.

And beneath the glowing World Trees.

The Empire returned to peace once more.

At least until Kael got bored again.
