Percy's my stepbrother! That means Reycee (Percy's mom) is my stepmom. My god, this gives me even more of a reason to leave.
"This just helps me, Percy. Now you have to help me leave," I said.
Percy stared at Reycee, then looked at me, thought for quite a long time, and finally nodded his head.
I asked where we were going, and he said Florida was the safest option, as I could be with Papa and Keifer wouldn't think of going there.
"Why do you care about Keifer so much? He doesn't want me, so he's not going to look for me. So, drop the Keifer topic."
"You don't know him like I do. I know how he is, but fine, I'll drop it. You can't go today. It's going to take at least a week."
"What?!"
"Don't worry. It will go by in a flash."
A few days later…
Percy was right. A week went by in a flash. I didn't even think about Keifer or Section E. Until now, because they keep trying to contact me, saying they're sorry, but I won't listen until I know they really mean it. And I'll never see them again, so what's the use?
Now I was finally ready to leave this place. We said our goodbyes and got in the car. Technically, we only said goodbye to one person, which was Reycee, but… we don't talk about that.
When we got in the car, I saw that the ride was going to be 45 minutes to the airport. I really didn't want to wait that long, but I had to.
When I was about to say something to Percy, a car came almost crashing in front of us. The light was so bright, I couldn't see a thing. But that car— I could spot that car anywhere.
The Black SUV.
Percy got out of the car, and all of Section E were talking to him. But Keifer—he stood there, staring deep into my eyes.
I wanted to get out so badly and scream at them for ruining my life, but I couldn't. My whole body was shaking.
Suddenly, when Percy was busy shouting, Keifer ran to my door, opened it, and while taking off my seatbelt whispered, "Please, don't make a sound. I just wanna explain."
Even though I wanted to scream to get Percy's attention, I didn't, because deep in my heart, I still want him to love me. So, I let him pick me up bridal-style, and he took me to his car.
