Roxanna knew that Calen was frustrated, but the fact that he was willing to get pregnant himself as long as it meant having a child with her was honestly a little ridiculous.
Still, she didn't say anything about it because she knew her husband was only upset, so instead of teasing him, she gently patted his back a few times to comfort him.
"I'm so sorry that I haven't been able to give you a child yet," she said in a low voice.
They were currently walking back from the small hut to their own hut. Fortunately, there was a clean water reservoir near the farmland, so they had managed to wash themselves before leaving.
"No… don't say things like that…" Calen whined, sounding exactly like a dog whose owner was about to leave him behind. "It's not your fault at all. It really isn't."
