"That's… a Sand Ninja?"
Naruto, who had jumped onto a rooftop and pulled Uzuki Yugao down to hide, narrowed his eyes at the figure below. "Is that Gaara's teacher? Right, I remember he killed Hayate Gekko. But, he did it under the orders of Orochimaru, who was pretending to be the Kazekage. Now that Orochimaru has been dealt with, how could he possibly get rid of the Kazekage? Could the Kazekage be planning to attack Konoha? But what's his goal?"
Naruto's mind was in a whirl, unable to figure out what was happening.
"Naruto, did that person down there kill Hayate?"
Uzuki Yugao's eyes grew colder.
"Yes, he did."
Naruto nodded in confirmation.
" Hmph! Not Misaki! "
Uzuki Yugao quickly formed a hand seal, her voice low and filled with killing intent.
"Hmm?"
The killing intent emanating from Uzuki Yugao was so intense that the sand ninja immediately noticed her hiding on the rooftop.
"Swish!"
The sand ninja reacted swiftly, leaping up to escape. However, his steps faltered the next moment.
The terrifying illusion created by Nairaku Misaki, the sudden surge of fear, was not easily overcome.
"Katon: Boryoku Rika!"
With a sharp cry, Uzuki Yugao's eyes narrowed. Almost instantly, she unleashed an incredibly dense fire bullet, which slammed into the sluggish sand ninja.
"Damn it! Doton: Doryuheki!"
The Sand Shinobi struggled to form the hand seals. His single visible eye, half-obscured by the white bandages, glared with fury.
"Doton: Shinjū Zanshu no Jutsu!"
With a low shout, Naruto stealthily burrowed underground, unnoticed even by Uzuki Yugao, who was right in front of him.
"Boom!"
The flames struck the earth wall, the intense heat causing it to crack and crumble.
"Boom!"
Just as the Sand Shinobi was about to retaliate, he felt his feet seized.
The next moment, the entire figure vanished into thin air.
"Nine-Tailed Rasengan!"
A muffled shout echoed from underground. The next instant, the entire ground collapsed, as if the soil beneath had been hollowed out.
"What happened?"
Uzuki Yugao was taken aback, staring at the astonishingly large depression in front of her. The next moment, she realized Naruto was gone, and instantly understood, "Is it Naruto?"
"Pfft!"
Bursting from the ground, Naruto shook off the dirt from his body and grinned at Uzuki Yugao, "I took care of it, Yugao-nee."
"Yes, thank you, Naruto."
Uzuki Yugao looked at Naruto gratefully. She knew that without him, this would have been a tough battle.
"Heh heh, Sister Yugao, it's all taken care of. That sand ninja bastard is also sleeping underground. Let's go."
Clapping his hands, Naruto smiled at Uzuki Yugao, ready to leave.
"Yes, let's go."
Nodding, Uzuki Yugao followed Naruto and left the area.
"Sister Yugao, are you still upset?"
Sitting on the roof, Naruto turned to ask Uzuki Yugao, who was sitting beside him.
"Yes, losing a comrade... this pain can't be erased in a short time. But since it's already happened, the past is the past. Naturally, I won't stay down forever."
Turning her head, Uzuki Yugao gave Naruto a charming smile.
She had already removed her mask, revealing a captivating face to Naruto.
"Sister Yugao, you're really beautiful."
Gazing at Uzuki Yugao's face, Naruto felt as refreshed as if he'd been bathed in a spring breeze, and he blurted out a compliment.
"Hehe, Naruto, you have a sweet tongue."
Uzuki Yugao extended a jade finger and tapped Naruto's forehead, "But children shouldn't be so flirtatious."
"Oh..."
Looking at the jade finger tapping his forehead, Naruto responded helplessly.
"Alright, it's almost dawn. I should get going, Naruto."
Uzuki Yugao removed her jade-like finger from Naruto's forehead, gave him a charming smile, and prepared to leave.
"Leaving already?"
Naruto sounded somewhat dejected.
"Hehe, little brother, are you going to miss me?"
Uzuki Yugao chuckled, suddenly moving her delicate body closer to Naruto and pulling him into her arms. "Here, a farewell hug. Don't look so glum; it's not like we'll never see each other again."
"Oh..."
Naruto, still dazed from being embraced by Uzuki Yugao, nodded in confusion.
"See ya, bye..."
Uzuki Yugao placed a fragrant seal on Naruto's forehead, donned her mask, and gently turned to leave.
Only after Uzuki Yugao's graceful figure disappeared from Naruto's sight did he gradually come back to his senses.
"Phew, it's really warm..."
Feeling the embrace just now, Naruto still hadn't gotten used to that sudden warmth and happiness.
