(Mikael's POV)
"I think we're in the clear." Stussy said as she stood on the side of the deck, "That was quite crazy. Kong, hm? He's a scary one."
"He ain't shit compared to Garp. Now that one we should watch out for." Ganzui said, "But it could've been bad if Rocks didn't ward him off."
I was sitting down on a wooden crate, rubbing my neck as my body throbbed all over. It was one crazy thing after another. First, I came to find out I've transmigrated to the world of One Piece and not just that, I immediately come across Rocks D. Xebec of all people.
I have a System with the power of Gogmazios, an Elder Dragon from Monster Hunter. And while that is great and all, I don't have time to process all of this because Rocks starts a damned Davy Back Fight right away. I fight Shiki and while that didn't last long, he did give me a serious beating.
And if that wasn't bad enough, a whole fleet of marines attacks the island and I'm fighting a damn Vice-Admiral in my Full-Beast form. I am lucky I am a walking fortress, the amount of hits I took from that Caro guy was insane. He was using advanced armament, managing to penetrate my defenses and damage me.
I don't know what would've happened if Kong actually managed to hit me at that moment when we tried to escape. I doubt that without Haki, I would be able to take hits from an Admiral like him.
I let out a sigh, "Man...."
"You alright?" I heard Stussy call out to me, "You did well, Mikael~"
I looked at her, she was walking over to me, her short blonde hair fluttering slightly in the sea breeze. Her beautiful blue eyes had a glint to them as she looked at me, a slight smile forming on her face.
"Hm...." I said, "If you say so."
"Don't say it like that." She said as she sat next to me, crossing her legs, "You are strong, I can tell."
"He's not half-bad." I heard Newgate say as he was sitting across the deck, "His Devil Fruit is really powerful, I'll give him that. In that form, he can cause some destruction, becoming a walking disaster. But I think he needs to work on improving it. From what I understand, Zoans can deplete the user's stamina. Especially if they take lots of damage."
I nodded, "I agree with that."
"Vohahaha!" I heard Rocks's laughter, "Alright, we got rid of those assholes!"
I looked over to see him walking over, a smirk on his face. His mere presence was imposing; a powerful aura oozed from this man. He was surely the legend of the era before the monsters before me; Shiki and Newgate.
It was hard to take it all in at the moment. But now that I am at sea and my head is clearer, I understand perfectly what all of this meant.
I am in the Era of Garp's Prime, The Roger Pirates are about, and soon....the Rocks Pirates will be formed. Rocks was barely doing his Davy Back Fights and gathering his crew. He hasn't gone to Elbaf yet, and he hasn't conquered Hachinosu yet. I have been tossed right in front of him before all of this happened. And not just that, Rocks has me on his crew now.
Was this fate? Or was this on purpose?
Moon. That was the being that sent me here.
Was it her doing? What is the Goal she wants me to achieve?
Well, for now, I complete the tasks and I get stronger.
Armament Haki. I must learn it.
"What now, Rocks?" Stussy's voice broke my train of though, "The Davy Back Fight was interrupted. Some of your potential crewmembers ran off."
"It was quite the coincidence that once we were kicking the Davy Back Fight off, Kong showed up." Ganzui said as he was sitting down, "Did someone sell you out?"
"It's quite obvious." Rocks said with a scowl, "I should've seen it coming. I did send messages to all of the Pirates nearby. One of them must've tipped them off. But no matter, I got quite the new powerhouses to join me!"
Newgate nodded, "If you say so." He said, "But I do wonder what you will do next."
"First things first." He walked over to the front of the deck, "We head over to another island and set up base. Spend a couple of weeks there and let things cool down. You see, my mere presence on the seas will rile the Navy up quite a bit, Vohahaha! I don't intend on causing too much heat until I need to."
I looked at him, "Is that so?"
He looked at me, "Oh yea." He said, "And you! I need you to start training."
"Training?" Shiki walked over, "There is no time for some scrub to begin his training!"
I scowled at him, "This scrub beat you in a duel."
He glared at me, "Oh yea?!" He exclaimed, "You simply smacked me away, I was nowhere done with you! You don't know haki, all you have going on for you is that damned zoan transformation."
"Shut the hell up, Shiki!" Rocks said with a scowl, "He will learn Armament in no time, I can assure you of that. We head to this one island in the West and lay low for a couple of weeks, don't worry."
"Why the West?" Newgate said
"The Navy won't think to look for us there." Rocks said, "There's a deserted island near one of the government-affiliated kingdoms. We go back and forth between those islands, taking some food and supplies from the populated island and hiding out on the other one. We have this guy here learn armament haki at the least and then we take off and continue our voyage!"
"And afterwards?" I asked, "Where to?"
"We beat the shit out of other Pirates and force them to join our crew, vohahaha!" He laughed, "And once that happens....."
"We go to Elbaf!"
