All the griffons around Kazien immediately stared at him. They all prepare to fight.
"You don't have to be so careful! Look! I came here with no intention of harming you."
Kazien walked slowly towards them with both hands raised.
"Prepare to attack! That human will do evil to us!"
Thud!
The body of the griffon that Kazien believed to be their leader was pressed by the extremely strong air pressure magic.
"It's cruel of you to slander me like that! I'm sure you can understand my language, right?"
All the griffons were surprised because the humans in front of them could understand the language they were using.
"Can you understand our language?"
"Of course I understand! You are not fit to be a leader! Your attitude of slandering people who are not evil is the source of the chaos!"
"Hahaha. I never thought you would dare to slander my master like that! Even though he only came here to recruit you to avoid danger!" Lidaz echoed Kazien's speech.
Lidaz flew up to the herd of griffons that were there and spoke loudly to them.
"Do you still want to follow the leader who almost destroyed you because of his vile slander?"
All the griffons looked at each other. And in the end they left the leader who had slandered Kazien.
"You guys! Why did you betray me?"
"Because of you! We were almost destroyed! We also understood what the human said!" another griffon answered that griffon.
Lidaz laughed out loud at their debate.
"If you want to come with us, come with us! But for him, he should be executed! Leaders like him are the ones who make our race a human target!"
The griffon became angry at Lidaz who seemed to act as the leader of his group.
"You are not the leader of our group! You have no right to speak to them like that!" exclaimed the griffon in warning.
"I am indeed not the leader of this group! But if they join my master's team, I will be their leader!"
"Aren't you ashamed of your manner of bowing down to that insolent human being?" shouted that griffon angrily.
"What nonsense are you talking about? He is actually our savior! Since joining him, we have been treated very well and have never lacked food! But, it is your attitude that almost destroyed our race! If only my master had been impatient or didn't understand our language, you would all have been destroyed long ago!"
"Don't you also not trust that human?"
"Don't compare me to you! When I met him, he invited me to join him. After I lost the duel, my entire group and I immediately accepted! But here, your presence is truly threatening the survival of our race! Even though you already know that the birth of our race is uncertain, you still give the order for your entire group to be wiped out? You are truly a stupid leader!"
The griffon fell silent, but inside he was full of resentment towards Lidaz. His gaze was very sharp and seemed to want to finish Lidaz off immediately.
"Master, please kill him immediately!"
Kazien was shocked because Lidaz asked him to immediately kill the griffon leader.
"Are you serious? He is the leader of their group!"
"I know my race's personality very well! Right now he is holding a grudge against me. That gaze of his is a gaze filled with anger!"
Kazien looked at all the griffons around him. But they seemed to invite Kazien to kill him.
"Very well! I will give him a painless death out of respect!"
"I don't need respect from a lowly human like you! Just kill me!"
Kazien stared sadly at the griffon, and the griffon was shocked when it saw his gaze.
"I don't need your pity! Kill me!"
"I don't want to kill any of you. Are you serious about this?"
"Kill me! In exchange for my death, take good care of my entire pack!"
Kazien walked over to it. He hugged it tightly. His intention to kill the griffon turned into sympathy.
"I don't know what you've been through in the past. But, I really want to make you live comfortably without having to worry about being hunted anymore! You have a family, right? They will surely be sad if you die."
Kazien released the magic that was binding the griffon, surprising Lidaz. He immediately warned his master sternly.
"Master, what are you doing? He will definitely attack all his members!"
However, the griffon did nothing after the magic that was binding his movements was removed.
"Why do you care about me who has clearly slandered you? My pack members even want me dead."
"Because in my eyes, you are as valuable as anyone else. And I have no reason to kill you."
That griffon remained silent. He stared at Kazien for a long moment, as if assessing his personality.
"Do you swear to ensure the survival of our race?"
"Yes, I swear that no one will harm you while you stay in our territory! But I am not responsible for what will happen if you leave our territory!"
The griffon spread his wings and then lowered his head before Kazien. Lidaz and the other griffons were very surprised to see what he did. But Kazien was confused by the behavior of the griffon in front of him.
"Lidaz, why is he acting so strangely?"
"Master! That was a promise of loyalty and an expression of sincere apology. I am surprised that he would do something like this in front of you."
"I swear loyalty to you and your family!" That griffon said respectfully to Kazien.
"I accept your oath of loyalty! From now on your name is Roviz!"
"I am honored by the name you have given me, Master!"
Kazien was relieved that he did not have to kill any of the griffons.
"My dear, is everything finished?"
"Yes, everything is finished! And I am relieved that I did not kill any of them. Hehehe."
Roviz, who was surprised, asked Lidaz.
"Why is our master like that? Aren't high elves male?"
"At first, I was surprised too. But our master only likes cute males."
"I just found out that there are male humans who marry other males."
"Not all humans are like that. Only our master chooses to marry other male humans. You better get used to his uniqueness soon!"
Kazien smiled wryly at their conversation. But he chose to let it go because Lidaz and Rovin also seemed to have forgotten the commotion that had occurred earlier.
Then, Kazien looked around. And he saw that there were many griffon feathers scattered everywhere.
"Roviz, may I pick up all your feathers scattered here?"
"Go ahead, master! Those feathers are no longer needed!"
"Hahaha. If so, I will not hesitate to pick them all up."
With Alvin's help, the excited Kazien immediately picked up all the feathers scattered on the ground. The griffons were surprised by their new master's enthusiastic gleaning of their feathers.
"Why are you so stunned? The humans hunt us for our feathers!"
"But have the humans ever plucked your feathers there?" Roviz asked curiously.
"Never! Even though they know about the benefits of our feathers, they only pick at the ones we've shed."
"Do you feel comfortable living there?" Roviz asked again.
"It's so comfortable that it makes us feel at home! All the humans who live there always treat us so well. You'll definitely experience it for yourself later."
Roviz and the rest of his group were impatient to settle in the Altavis region. They were looking forward to their new life in a new place. However, collecting the feathers took quite a long time. All the griffons took the initiative to help Kazien collect all the feathers scattered on the ground.
Thanks to their help, Kazien and Alvin were able to collect all the feathers in a relatively short time.
"Thank you! Because of your help, we were able to finish this much faster. Now, let's return to the Altavis region!"
"Gwak!" they answered in unison.
Lidaz soared into the sky and left the mountaintop. However, this time, Lidaz wasn't returning alone. He was accompanied by Roviz and 24 other members of his group.
