Suddenly, a student shouted, "Look!
Something seems to be happening within the dark clouds!"
Everyone looked up.
Flickering firelight rose from the dark cloud layer.
These points of light drifted in the air, sometimes soaring, sometimes falling.
Apart from the firelight, there seemed to be something else as well.
Moreover, from that mass of dark clouds came an ear-piercing, screeching sound, a noise that sent shivers down the spine.
Finally, a sharp-eyed student saw the things inside the cloud clearly and fell to the ground in fright.
"Skeletons! The cloud is full of skeletons!"
As he spoke, the scene within the dark clouds was fully revealed.
Thousands upon thousands of bones were densely packed together.
That firelight was undoubtedly the soul fires burning within their skulls.
Each skeleton emitted a pale, sickly glow, utterly chilling.
Even though they knew it was just a phenomenon, many students still felt frightened, stepping back repeatedly.
One of those soul fires descended from the sky, landing on Morintis.
Subsequently, all phenomena vanished in an instant, and everything returned to normal.
[Unique Hidden Class: Necromancer]
Not a rare class.
But a hidden one.
And a unique hidden one at that.
This meant this class was the only one of its kind in the entire world.
Unless Morintis died, there would not be a second holder of the same class.
Hidden classes were even rarer than rare classes, possibly even rarer than legendary classes.
Whether they were strong was unclear, but their scarcity was certain.
Morintis's Necromancer class was one of a kind in the world.
"Morintis is amazing!
He actually drew a hidden class, and a unique one at that!"
"How does such a quiet person have such good luck?
Could the array be malfunctioning?"
"Hidden classes aren't necessarily powerful.
There have been many weak hidden classes throughout history."
"Right, right!
Hidden classes are just rare, not necessarily strong."
"But that phenomenon was so terrifying.
And his class is called Necromancer...does that mean he'll have to work with the dead from now on?"
"He hardly spoke much anyway.
Dealing with the dead suits him—no need to talk either."
After all his members had been awakened, Morintis walked out of the formation.
A unique hidden class—he felt some excitement inside, but not a trace showed on his face.
He kept his emotions hidden.
Shock and excitement should be buried deep within him, with no need for display.
"Wait a moment," Alistair suddenly called out to him as he passed by.
Morintis turned and respectfully bowed to Alistair.
"Do you have any instructions, sir?"
He wasn't incapable of speech, just spoke rarely.
But he never neglected basic courtesy.
Alistair asked, "Your class is a hidden class, one this old man has never seen before.
Could you demonstrate one of its skills?"
Morintis did not refuse Alistair's request.
"Please wait a moment, sir."
He had just completed his class change and wasn't very familiar with everything yet.
He checked his status.
[Name: Morintis]
[Class: Necromancer (Unique)]
[Level: 1 (0.00%)]
[Strength: 10]
[Agility: 10]
[Spirit: 20]
[Constitution: 10]
[Equipment: None]
[Summoning Space: 0/10]
[Skills: Soul Flame (Level 1), Summon Skeleton Warrior (Level 1)]
[Soul Flame (Level 1): Burns the target's soul, dealing fire damage.
Power increases with the caster's Spirit and skill level.]
[Summon Skeleton Warrior (Level 1): Summons a Black-Iron grade Skeleton Warrior.
(Skeletons are graded Black-Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond, Legendary, and Divine.)]
Judging by the attributes, his Spirit was noticeably higher than others'.
This indicated the Necromancer's class direction—it belonged to the Mage-type of classes.
The Soul Flame skill confirmed this.
However, the "Summon Skeleton Warrior" skill shared similarities with Summoner classes.
Soul Flame obviously wasn't suitable for demonstration, so Morintis chose to summon a Skeleton Warrior.
As the skill was activated, a black vortex appeared beside Morintis.
Then, a Skeleton Warrior wreathed in soul fire walked out from the vortex.
Morintis's Spirit instantly dropped from 20 to 10—half of his Spirit was consumed.
The Black-Iron grade Skeleton Warrior had gray bones all over its body.
Its frame was covered in countless cracks.
Even the blade in its hand was broken and old, looking as if it had been picked from a trash bin.
Not just the blade; the entire Skeleton Warrior looked like something salvaged from a trash heap.
This Black-Iron Skeleton Warrior didn't look powerful in the slightest; it seemed as if it could collapse at any moment.
Morintis took the opportunity to check the Skeleton Warrior's attributes.
[Black-Iron Skeleton Warrior]
[Strength: 15]
[Agility: 15]
[Spirit: 15]
[Constitution: 15]
[Skill: None]
All four attributes were in perfect equilibrium.
No particular strengths, no particular weaknesses.
It currently had no skills and could only perform basic attacks.
Nothing particularly outstanding.
When the Skeleton Warrior appeared, the students gasped in surprise, instinctively stepping back a few paces.
People were always afraid of frightening things.
Only a few brave souls remained unfazed.
In contrast, those like Leo watched with a trace of curiosity in their gaze.
A beam of light shot from Alistair's fingertip, landing on the Skeleton Warrior like a gust of wind.
The Skeleton Warrior's eye sockets instantly flashed red.
It turned its gaze towards Alistair, its soul fire flickering intensely.
[Skeleton Warrior is under attack.Counterattack?(If no choice is made within ten seconds, it will automatically counterattack.)]
This message suddenly flooded into Morintis's mind.
He quickly ordered the Skeleton Warrior to stand down.
Alistair smiled slightly.
"Quite alert, isn't it?"
