Chapter 16 - Skill Upgrade, Bronze Skeleton

[Name: Morintis]

[Class: Necromancer (Unique)]

[Level: 10 (0.00%)]

[Strength: 100]

[Agility: 100]

[Spirit: 300]

[Constitution: 100]

[Equipment: None]

[Summon Space: 40/100, Skeleton Warrior (Quantity: 40)]

[Talent: Comprehensive Amplification (Level 2, Unique)]

[Passive Skill: Damage Transfer]

[Active Skills: Soul Flame (Level 10), Summon Skeleton Warrior (Level 10)]

[Comprehensive Amplification (Level 2): Effects of all skills are increased twentyfold.]

[Damage Transfer: All damage received by the Necromancer is borne by their summons.]

[Soul Flame (Level 10): Burns the target's soul, causing fire damage. Power scales with the caster's Spirit and skill level.]

[Summon Skeleton Warrior (Level 10): Summons one Bronze-tier Skeleton Warrior.]

Morintis looked at his upgraded status. Strength and Agility hadn't changed much, increasing by a stable 10 points per level. However, his Spirit had directly reached 300 points, a full increase of 120 points.

"They say attributes get a significant boost after Level 10. I belong to the Mage-type classes, so the biggest change is in Spirit."

Then he saw the changes to his skills and grew excited. His Talent had strengthened again, increasing from tenfold amplification to twentyfold amplification.

Even if nothing else changed, the combat power of his Skeleton Warriors would increase manifold.

Moreover, the Skeleton Warrior's tier had also changed, evolving from Black Iron to Bronze.

Morintis couldn't wait and summoned a Skeleton Warrior.

The Bronze-tier Skeleton Warrior had lost its grayish color, replaced by a pale bronze hue. The cracks on its body had almost completely vanished, and even the blade in its hand seemed brighter. At least it no longer looked like it came from a garbage dump.

[Bronze Skeleton Warrior]

[Strength: 3000]

[Agility: 3000]

[Spirit: 3000]

[Constitution: 3000]

[Skill: Furious Strike (Level 1)]

[Furious Strike (Level 1): Deals 200% of the user's Strength as damage to the target. Cooldown: 10 minutes.]

It still had balanced four-core attributes, with a base value of 150 points. After the twentyfold amplification from Comprehensive Amplification, all attributes reached a staggering 3000 points.

With the information Morintis currently possessed, he could no longer gauge what level of class holder this attribute level corresponded to.

But with stats like these, he could dominate this entire area.

Additionally, it had gained a skill, giving the Skeleton Warrior instant burst capability.

"Is this what they mean by 'master one trick, and you can eat anywhere'?" Morintis recalled a saying from his previous life.

He didn't need complex or flashy skills; just one or two practical and powerful ones were enough to dominate.

That was his situation now.

He lacked the magnificent spells of a Mage and the dazzling combat techniques of a Warrior.

Yet, with just his current skills, he dared say no one below Level 20 could be his match.

Defeating a Level 20 opponent at Level 10 was impossible for others, but for him, it wasn't difficult.

With the Skeleton Warriors' attributes and his passive skill, even if he stood still and let a Level 20 attacker hit him, it would take a long time to kill him.

Just as Morintis was about to continue summoning Bronze Skeleton Warriors, a whistling sound cut through the air, followed by a sharp arrow flying past his eyes.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

Several more arrows flew past in quick succession. One of them struck him. An invisible membrane appeared, blocking the arrow. His passive skill activated automatically, transferring all the damage to a Skeleton Warrior. Morintis remained unharmed.

[Under Attack!]

Morintis received the alert. Simultaneously, the Skeleton Warrior's eyes glowed red, entering an alert status.

A figure clad in black dashed out from the forest, moving with great speed, indicating high Agility. Morintis guessed it was probably an Assassin-type class.

The figure saw Morintis, swiftly changed direction, and ran towards another side, disappearing from sight in the blink of an eye.

Two seconds after the black-clad figure left, others gave chase. Two people. Judging by their attire and appearance, Morintis roughly identified their classes: an Archer, and a Mage.

Needless to say, the arrows just now were shot by the Archer. If Morintis didn't have the Damage Transfer passive skill, he would definitely be injured now.

The two also ignored Morintis, quickly pursuing ahead.

Morintis's eyes flickered. Wrong direction. The black-clad figure had changed direction here. They were chasing the wrong way, destined to be a futile effort..

Sure enough, after just a few seconds, the two returned. The Mage began using a skill. Morintis felt a gust of wind blowing around them.

A few seconds later, the Mage sighed. "That guy is cunning. He's already escaped."

The Archer said, "It's fine. He can only escape for now. We'll catch him eventually." Then he looked at Morintis. "Kid, did a person in black pass by here just now?"

Morintis didn't answer directly. Instead, he said quietly, "Your arrow hit me. Apologize."

The Archer looked at the arrow on the ground and understood. "My apologies."

Morintis waved his hand. "Don't let it happen again." The Archer had a strange feeling, as if Morintis was looking down on him from a superior position.

The Mage's expression was gloomy, clearly unhappy about the target's escape. He turned his gaze towards the Skeleton Warrior beside Morintis.

"Undead..."

His eyes held a trace of disgust, and he slowly raised his staff.

The Skeleton Warrior's eyes glowed red, entering a combat stance.

The Archer suddenly pulled the Mage aside and whispered, "Don't cause trouble."

The Mage's eyes shifted, and he ultimately lowered his staff. "Understood."

Watching the two retreat, Morintis said calmly, "Consider yourselves lucky."

Although he hadn't used Detection, judging by the power of the earlier arrow, the attack wasn't very strong.

These two probably weren't very high level either, at most around Level 20.

If they had tried to attack him, Morintis felt he might have had to kill someone. He wasn't a saint; if bullied, he would absolutely return it a hundredfold.

Just now, when the Mage raised his staff, Morintis had already recalled all his Skeleton Warriors into the Summon Space. He could have surrounded them in an instant. If a fight had broken out, they would undoubtedly have been hacked to pieces.
