Chapter 22 - A Nice Skill for Erasing Evidence

Another loud explosion echoed through the forest as the Knight's corpse was detonated.

The three individuals were completely erased, leaving not even a trace behind.

It had to be said, the Corpse Explosion skill was also a first-rate divine skill for disposing of evidence and covering tracks.

As he had planned yesterday, Morintis headed towards the Westsea Mine.

That was the Goblin stronghold.

As he got closer to the Westsea Mine, the levels of the Goblin tribes gradually increased.

Level 12 Goblin Warriors and Level 13 Goblin Archers appeared one after another.

But facing the abnormally high attributes of the Skeleton Warriors, they were utterly useless.

After a night of meditation, his Spirit was fully recovered.

Morintis summoned four more Skeleton Warriors, bringing their total number to 48.

With the Summon Skeleton Warrior skill reaching Level 10 and evolving from Black Iron to Bronze-tier, the Spirit cost had also increased significantly.

Summoning one Skeleton Warrior now required 70 points of Spirit.

Morintis only had a total of 300 Spirit points.

As before, he could only summon four at a time.

However, Morintis was very satisfied.

The Summon Space would be filled one day; he wasn't in a hurry.

As he got closer to the Westsea Mine Dungeon, more people began to appear.

The monsters along the path to the dungeon were basically cleared out.

Soon, Morintis saw the dungeon entrance.

It was a vortex similar to the starter dungeon's, but much larger.

The starter dungeon's vortex was at most half a meter in diameter, while the entrance to this Westsea Mine Dungeon was a full meter wide.

A continuous, bloodthirsty aura emanated from the vortex.

Timid people would feel fear just from sensing this aura.

"Normal difficulty.

Three spots left, need one Healer!"

"Normal difficulty.

Have Mage and Healer, need a Knight!"

"Elite Mine Dungeon team, Nightmare difficulty.

Have Knight, Mage, Assassin.

Need Healer and Control Support."

"Guanteed Nightmare clear team.

Need Knight, need Healer.

Five spots open, need four."

...

Many people were shouting at the dungeon entrance, looking for party members.

Quite a few people stood in front of the entrance, seemingly discussing something.

Morintis walked towards the dungeon entrance with one Skeleton Warrior; the others were stored away.

Even within the Summon Space, the passive skill remained effective.

Morintis wasn't worried about his safety at all.

Clatter!

Clatter!

The Skeleton Warrior made bone-grinding sounds as it walked, grating on the ears.

The soul fire flickered incessantly in its skull, carrying gusts of chilling wind that dropped the temperature by several degrees.

The Skeleton Warrior's appearance was too frightening.

Morintis's arrival caused widespread alarm.

Many people stepped back, voluntarily clearing a path for him.

Morintis reached the dungeon entrance and checked the dungeon information.

It wasn't a training ground like the starter dungeon.

The Mine Dungeon's level wasn't high, offering only Normal and Nightmare difficulties, with no Hell difficulty.

The Normal difficulty already contained elite monsters, several times stronger than those outside.

The Nightmare difficulty featured enhanced elite monsters, with even higher difficulty.

Normal difficulty typically required a three-person party: one tank, one damage dealer, and one healer.

Nightmare difficulty required a five-person party with double support and double damage dealers.

This illustrated the difference in difficulty.

The Skeleton Warrior just stood beside Morintis, motionless.

Finally, someone gathered the courage to speak to Morintis.

"Young man, are you a Summoner?"

Morintis didn't answer, ignoring him completely.

A Detection spell landed on him and the Skeleton Warrior.

Red light suddenly glowed in the Skeleton Warrior's deep, empty eye sockets as it turned its gaze towards the person who cast the spell.

This action startled that person greatly, making him shrink back like a turtle pulling its head in.

The Detection spell failed, yielding no information.

Morintis was wearing the Masking Badge given by Isla Ning.

Anyone not more than 10 levels higher than him couldn't view his information through Detection.

Morintis didn't let the Skeleton Warrior attack; a mere Detection spell wasn't worth it.

"Young man, do you want to run the dungeon with us?

We still need a damage dealer."

"You must be a Summoner, right?

Summoners have good damage output.

Want to join?"

"We're an elite team, tackling Nightmare difficulty.

If any equipment drops, we split it equally."

Everyone seemed to realize Morintis was no ordinary person and invited him to party up one after another.

However, Morintis continued to ignore them.

After checking the dungeon information, he selected Nightmare difficulty.

[Please confirm your selection of Nightmare difficulty.]

"Confirm!"

Morintis was teleported into the dungeon.

"He entered the dungeon!"

"He entered the dungeon alone!"

"No way, he's going to solo it?

That's too arrogant!"

"Can't say that.

What if he has the strength?

It's not like no one has soloed it before."

"Friend who used Detection earlier, share the info you got!

What's his level?

What's his class?"

"Yeah, his summon is undead.

I've never seen that before."

The person who used Detection looked slightly embarrassed.

"Didn't get any information.

He must be wearing a Masking Badge."

"Is that so?

Then we'll just have to wait and see if he can come out alive."

"Maybe he's all show and no substance?

Looks scary, but might be weak."

Outside the dungeon, many wore expressions of anticipation, ready to watch the show.

Every year, plenty of people died in dungeons due to overconfidence and attempting to solo.

The Mine Dungeon lived up to its name; the terrain inside truly resembled a mine.

The dungeon was filled with an oppressive atmosphere and a thick scent of blood.

Before Morintis stood a massive iron gate.

Opening it would officially start the dungeon.

Behind the gate, a monster over two meters tall was roaring—it had already spotted Morintis.

The moment Morintis dared to open the gate, it would charge over and tear him to pieces.
