Chapter 28 - The Dynasty Guild , And Goblin King Ring

Morintis sat in meditation, with his Skeleton Warrior standing guard beside him.

Although there were over a hundred people at the dungeon entrance, no one dared to approach Morintis.

The main reason was that his Skeleton Warrior was too intimidating.

One look at it was enough to send chills down one's spine.

This suited him just fine, as it meant no one would disturb him.

Morintis was simply waiting for the cooldown period to pass; he could re-enter the dungeon after 12 hours.

His Spirit was gradually recovering through meditation.

By the time he entered the dungeon again, he would be able to summon four more Skeleton Warriors.

As night fell, Morintis ended his meditation.

His Spirit had almost fully recovered.

Bonfires sprang up one after another at the dungeon entrance, with many people gathered around them, roasting meat.

The aroma of meat filled the air, becoming even richer after seasonings were added.

These people often spent time in the wilds; each was experienced and well-prepared.

Unlike Morintis, who had only brought some sweet potatoes when he left home.

His stomach protesting, Morintis went to take out the sweet potatoes to eat,

only to find they were gone.

He then remembered he had given them all to Isla Ning.

Thinking of Isla Ning's mischievous and adorable appearance, Morintis couldn't help but allow a slight smile to touch his lips.

Instead, he took out some steamed buns and began eating them, one bite at a time.

"Hey brother, want to join us and eat something?"

Someone waved to Morintis.

They were roasting some unknown type of meat that smelled delicious.

It was a young man in his twenties.

Judging by his attire, he was probably a support class.

Morintis shook his head slightly, declining the offer politely.

The young man didn't insist and simply went back to eating his roast meat.

"I said, Wang Yi, why did you call him?"

"Yeah, he's a weirdo.

He hasn't said a word since he got here."

"And that undead summon next to him is kinda creepy."

The young man named Wang Yi had a different opinion.

"I think he's perfectly normal, just doesn't like talking much."

"Besides, look at him.

Even though he doesn't talk, he's never bothered anyone either."

"I actually think he might not be as hard to get along with as you guys think."

Wang Yi cut a large piece of roast meat, put it on a plate, and walked over to Morintis.

"Here, brother, have some meat.

Just eating buns won't do."

Morintis looked at him but didn't speak.

Wang Yi offered a friendly smile, placed the plate in front of Morintis, and then left.

Using his detection skill, Morintis confirmed the meat was safe.

He slowly picked up the roast meat and took a bite.

It tasted good and was very fragrant.

Not far away, Wang Yi also raised a piece of meat in a gesture towards Morintis, a sunny smile on his face.

In that moment, Morintis felt his smile was somewhat similar to Leo's.

After filling his stomach, Morintis returned to a meditative state.

With the Skeleton Warrior by his side, he didn't need to worry about safety.

Finally, the 12-hour dungeon cooldown passed, and Morintis's Spirit was fully recovered.

"This time, I should reach level 13."

He stood up and saw the dungeon entrance crowded with people.

Two groups seemed to be confronting each other.

One group stood at the dungeon entrance, completely blocking it and preventing anyone from approaching.

They wore uniform clothing and held refined weapons, looking almost like an army.

Facing them were the people who had originally been outside the dungeon.

Although more numerous, they appeared disorganized and were outmatched in terms of presence.

"Your Dynasty Guild is simply too overbearing!"

"Why won't you let us enter the dungeon?"

"Yeah, why?

The dungeon isn't yours."

"Us entering the dungeon won't affect you."

Many voices rose in protest.

A staff-wielding mage stepped out from the Dynasty Guild group.

"Our Young Guild Master is inside completing a mission.

No one enters until he finishes."

"Why?!"

"Your Dynasty Guild is too domineering!"

The protesters continued, but no one dared to take action.

Mainly because the Dynasty Guild was too powerful to provoke.

Wang Yi was among the protesters, his sunny smile replaced by anger.

Morintis walked over and stopped beside Wang Yi.

"What's happening?"

Wang Yi, surprised to hear Morintis speak, replied quietly, "The Young Guild Master of the Dynasty Guild is doing a quest inside.

They won't let us in."

Morintis's eyes held a question.

What kind of quest required sealing off the dungeon?

Wang Yi understood his confusion.

"It's like this: they need the Goblin King's Crystal Core.

The drop rate for this core isn't high.

It only has a chance to drop in the Nightmare difficulty dungeon, and it only drops once every 100 days."

"You must have seen this quest in the Exchange too.

It was actually posted by the Dynasty Guild."

"But no one has completed it yet."

"It's actually quite laughable.

The Goblin King's Crystal Core isn't comparable to ordinary cores.

It's worth at least 300,000 gold coins, and they want to buy it for 100,000.

Who would sell it to them?"

"Today marks exactly 100 days since the last drop, so the Dynasty Guild is taking matters into their own hands."

What a coincidence.

The 'Goblin King's Crystal Core' in his storage space shimmered as brilliantly as a ruby.

This time, the Dynasty Guild was bound to return empty-handed.

Originally, Morintis had planned to sell the Goblin King's Crystal Core for 100,000 gold coins when he returned in a couple of days.

But now, hearing Wang Yi's words, it was clear the Goblin King's Crystal Core was anything but simple.

"What's it for?"

Morintis asked in a low voice.

"The Goblin King's Crystal Core can be processed by an Alchemist into the Goblin King Ring."

"The Goblin King Ring gives +10 to All Attributes, increases all skill levels by 1, and can be equipped from level 15.

It's known as the strongest accessory below level 40."

Such powerful stats were indeed impressive.

Especially the 'increases all skill levels by 1' effect – for a newbie professional, it was practically god-like.

Wang Yi continued, "I heard the Dynasty Guild's Young Guild Master aims to test into the Xiajing Academy, so he's determined to get this equipment."

"The Dynasty Guild has no shortage of Alchemists, and they've prepared all the other materials.

All they lack now is the Goblin King's Crystal Core."

Understanding the situation, Morintis smiled slightly and walked towards the dungeon entrance.

He didn't care about any Dynasty Guild.

Anything that hindered his leveling was unacceptable.
