Chapter 36 - This is What You Call Efficiency

The heavy, oppressive atmosphere made it hard for Sophia to breathe.

Seeing the terrifying monsters prowling behind the large iron gate, her slender legs felt a little weak.

Under her Detection Skill, the attributes of the Enhanced Elite Monsters were laid bare.

Both their stats and their appearance were worlds apart from the monsters in the Normal difficulty dungeon.

Sophia looked at Morintis in horror.

"This is Nightmare difficulty!

Did you select the wrong one?"

Morintis seemed unaffected.

"No."

No...?

Did this guy actually intend for just the two of them to tackle a Nightmare difficulty dungeon?

Just looking at the monsters' terrifying stats made Sophia's teeth chatter.

"Are you insane?

We'll die!"

Sophia cried out.

Morintis didn't respond to her words, nor did he pay attention to her state of mind.

"Follow me and run later."

What?

Run from what?

Sophia couldn't process it immediately.

The terrifying Enhanced Elite Monster had already locked onto her.

Sophia felt the fear of death.

If she weren't afraid of Morintis laughing at her, she would flee the dungeon right now.

A large number of Skeleton Warriors materialized in the room.

While summoning them, Morintis also began summoning new ones.

In the blink of an eye, 80 Skeleton Warriors crowded most of the room.

Then, under Sophia's terrified gaze, Morintis opened the dungeon gate.

The Skeleton Warriors surged out like an army on the march, charging madly into the mine tunnels.

Morintis was already well-practiced at this.

The Enhanced Elite Monster behind the iron gate chased after the Skeleton Warriors and vanished from sight in moments.

"Follow me."

Morintis started running.

Sophia was stunned.

What kind of tactic was this?

You could play the dungeon like this?

"Hurry up!

You're not scared, are you?"

Morintis's voice came from further down the tunnel.

Sophia stamped her foot.

"This young lady is not afraid!

I won't lose to you!"

Fueled by defiance, she quickly caught up to Morintis.

A massive procession of monsters advanced through the dungeon.

Skeleton Warriors led the charge, followed by a horde of Enhanced Elite Monsters.

Bringing up the rear were Morintis and Sophia.

"What are you actually doing?"

Sophia asked as she ran.

Morintis replied flatly, "Clearing the dungeon."

His answer was so matter-of-fact that Sophia was left speechless.

They ran through the long mine tunnel and saw the Minefang Wolf King chieftain.

The Nightmare difficulty Minefang Wolf King was more than twice the size of its Normal difficulty counterpart.

Sophia didn't even need her Detection Skill to know this thing was super terrifying.

By now, the Skeleton Warriors had reached it.

The Wolf King continuously attacked the Skeleton Warriors, but they just kept running, not fighting back.

"Why aren't they fighting back?"

Sophia was shocked by the Skeleton Warriors' durability and also puzzled.

Morintis directed his skeletons.

"Soon."

Once all the pursuing monsters had caught up, several Skeleton Warriors suddenly activated their skills simultaneously.

They instantly killed one Enhanced Elite Monster.

Then, that Enhanced Elite Monster's corpse was hurled into the air.

At the same time, Morintis raised his hand.

Corpse Explosion!

Air Burst!

A tremendous boom echoed, startling Sophia with its恐怖 intensity.

Her experience bar shot up.

Prompts flooded her interface.

In almost the blink of an eye, Sophia's experience had increased by 30%.

Sophia stood dumbfounded.

You could clear the dungeon like this?

What kind of maneuver was this?

Boom!

Boom!

Several more deafening explosions followed.

The Minefang Wolf King, which she had found so utterly terrifying, fell to the ground with a mournful cry.

"Dead."

"Just killed that easily?"

She remembered her three-person party encountering the Wolf King on Normal difficulty.

They had to assign roles carefully.

They needed various tactics and strategies, making thorough preparations before daring to engage.

It took them over 20 minutes of hard fighting to finally take it down.

Yet before Morintis, it was literally annihilated in seconds.

Sophia felt numb all over.

She realized this wasn't Normal difficulty, but a Nightmare difficulty dungeon.

The same chieftain was several times harder on Nightmare than on Normal.

But before Morintis, it was just instantly killed.

A tingling sensation rose from her feet to the top of her head.

Sophia trembled as if electrocuted.

Is this running a dungeon?

This is more like strolling through your own backyard!

Morintis didn't notice her state.

He waved his hand.

"Let's go."

The Skeleton Warriors had already run into the passage, heading down into the mining pit.

Sophia snapped out of her daze and hurried to follow.

"You...

you've been soloing the Nightmare difficulty all along?"

she managed to ask with difficulty.

If she hadn't seen it with her own eyes, Sophia would never have believed it.

No matter who you asked, who would believe someone could solo a Nightmare difficulty dungeon while still in their teens?

Throughout history, no one had achieved such a feat.

Morintis replied calmly, "Yes."

Sophia continued, "Starting from level 10?"

"Correct."

Hearing the confirmation from Morintis himself,

Sophia finally understood why Morintis could level up so fast.

When she had just left the beginner dungeon, Morintis had probably already started soloing the mine dungeon.

And on Nightmare difficulty, no less.

If not for the dungeon cooldown限制, he might even be level 20 by now.

The efficiency was staggering.

From entering the dungeon until now, only about 10 minutes had passed, and they were about to face the final boss.

Previously, partying with others on Normal difficulty, it took over an hour just to reach this point.

The massive Goblin King radiated immense pressure.

Then the Skeleton Warriors, leading the huge pack of monsters and Savage Wolves, swarmed forward like hornets.

After a dozen or so earth-shattering booms, everything fell silent.

The glow of a level-up enveloped Morintis.
