Cherreads

Chapter 7 - Daily Quest.

After scoring myself some points with Liliana, I followed the maid, Carol, who led me to the room I would be spending the night in. The room itself with at least twice the size of the living room back in my parents' house, and it might as well be one, seeing how it had a set of chairs and sofas on one side, along with a coffee table.

On the other side was a queen-size bed, equipped with a canopy and curtains. It has nightstands on either side and a desk in a nearby corner. On the opposite corner was a door. Noticing that I was looking at it, Carol explained that it led to the changing room, beyond which was the bath and toilet.

All in all, the place could be described as a suite in a five-star hotel.

Though I had a few questions to ask, I decided that speaking only when necessary was the best for the character I'm playing. It hurt me to dismiss the maid when I had yet to get a good look at her, but that would have to wait.

"Haaaa~"

Once alone, I plopped down on the giant bed and sank into its softness. I had a lot to think about. My reincarnation, the system, the girls, this new world, my game, and many other things. There was the past, and the future, too.

I thought the questions would keep me up all night, but as soon as I lay down, I felt my consciousness slipping, my eyelids growing heavier. That reminded me of my death and the exhaustion I felt back then. The way things progressed gave me the impression that I arrived in this world almost immediately after things went dark. I was conscious the entire time, so it felt like I never had the chance to have a proper rest.

'I won't wake up in a hospital or something, right?'

As afraid as I was to wake up and find that all of this had been a dream, I couldn't fight the exhaustion for long.

I woke up to the sound of chirping birds and the warm touch of the sun caressing my cheeks. As the powerful temptation of taking five more minutes overwhelmed me, I pulled the blanket over my head, hiding away from the start of another day.

My hazy mind failed to recall how I got to bed in the first place. As it began to seem like I wouldn't be going back to sleep, I reached under my pillow looking for my phone. Failing to find it, I grunted and pushed myself up.

Looking around, I was suddenly overcome by the urge to yawn. However, just as I was about to open my mouth, I found the will to suppress it. I did not recognize the room I was currently in.

"... oh…"

A bright spark cleared the fog in my mind, and the events of the previous night returned to me. I died, then reincarnated. I'm now in the world of the video game I had been developing, Rose of Valor. Remembering everything that happened, my chest was quickly filled with boundless joy.

'It wasn't a dream!'

The desire for sleep vanished without a trace, and I felt myself brimming with energy. This was no time to be sitting in bed.

'I must prepare to meet my heroines!'

Wrapping myself in the white sheet from yesterday, I was about to rush to the entrance when I found myself stopping. Would a Great Spirit rush around a strange house looking for its people? No.

'I should wait for someone to come get me…'

I walked over to one of the windows and pulled the curtain open, allowing more sunlight to pour in and observing the breathtaking scenery outside. Going by the position of the sun, it seemed to be early in the morning, though I couldn't tell the exact time. That simple thought made me miss the modern convenience of the smartphone.

'It… might be a while before I adapt...'

I wasn't too worried about that. After all, I was in a different world—a fantasy world. There were swords to fight with, magic to learn, and monsters to slay. Not to mention, beautiful heroines to romance! Something told me I won't be missing my previous world any time soon.

'I should get to it already.'

I had a list of things I wanted to do, but it slipped my mind when I fell asleep the previous night. As I tried to recall it, a notification appeared in front of me.

'A daily quest?'

I turned to look outside as I read the details. The description felt like a reminder of what I was now—a demon whose main purpose in life is to fornicate with women. One might argue that's just what it's like to be a man, but I got a feeling that there was more to it in this case.

'If I fail, I get a debuff?'

I didn't really need a quest to. I was looking forward to seeing my heroines, and I intended to soften them up in preparation for our wedding night. Liliana's blushing face was still fresh in my memory, and just thinking about it made me want to smile.

'Aaaah! I want to see her already!'

As if my thoughts had been read, I heard a knock on the door. Quickly checking myself, I cleared my throat.

"You may enter."

The main door to the room was double-sided. Opening one side, Carol came in, bowed her head, then opened the other side. Once she took her place by the door, the real guest finally showed herself.

Liliana walked in with slow steps. She was dressed in a fancy blue dress, the kind you would expect a rich, noble woman to wear. Her golden hair, which reached down to her waist, was styled in the famous drill-like curls.

Without the loose cloak hiding her curves, I could finally confirm something that had lingered in the back of my mind since the previous night. Now that I've gotten to see them, I can finally rest assured.

'Yup. Those are definitely S cup.'

Arriving at the center of the room, Liliana pinched the sides of her dress and lifted it slightly as she curtsied elegantly.

"A most gracious morning to you, Great Spirit. It is a pleasure to be in your presence this early."

I watched her in silence until she straightened up, and I caught the moment when she almost averted her gaze when our eyes met, her cheeks reddening.

Allowing myself to smile, I approached her with unhurried steps.

"I see you came to brighten my day with your smile, Liliana Aveline Goldlance."

I held out a hand, and she placed hers in it, her cheeks growing redder by the second as I repeated what I did the previous night.

"I-it is a lady's duty to see to her guests. I hope you had a blissful rest."

"Thanks to your hospitality."

I was careful not to let my gaze linger on the bountiful bosom in front of me. Not even a second. Liliana was blushing to the tips of her ears, and with how flustered she is, she probably wouldn't notice. That said, Carol was watching.

"Great Spirit, we have acquired some garments for you to wear." Said Liliana, still struggling to regain her composure. "They are ready-made, so they might not suit someone of your standing, but if you grant us permission to take your measurements, we can request proper outfits for you."

"How considerate of you," I said. "Rest assured. I'm well aware of the suddenness of my arrival. In fact, you have my gratitude for providing such a warm welcome."

'Wha- I cleared it!? Already!?'

I quickly went through everything I said and did, but I failed to count the five times I had flirted with Liliana. I might not be an expert when it came to the topic, but I was sure I hadn't said that many things that could be considered flirting.

'Does the system consider saying anything to women flirting?'

"I only did what is to be expected," Liliana said as she was looking at my stats. "Then, I will leave you to it. We can have breakfast together afterward."
