Chapter 18 - Chapter 18: Training for 'Ikoku'!

Hajrudin ran hurriedly into the House of Lambs.

"What happened??"

Hearing the commotion, Reno came out with Linlin.

"Phew—"

"You really are here."

Seeing Reno and Linlin, an exhausted Hajrudin gasped for air.

"Chieftain Jorul has arranged for Uncle Hank to teach you. He sent me to call you."

"Oh?! Finally happening, is it?"

Learning Ikoku was one of Reno's goals in coming here.

In the few days since arriving at the Giant Village, he and Linlin had done nothing but play with Hajrudin. It was time to get down to business.

"Let's go, Linlin. Let's go take a look."

"Okay!"

Linlin nodded obediently.

"Can I come along?? I want to see too."

At this moment, Carmel, who had been resting on the rocking chair, suddenly stood up.

Although Linlin had won the tug-of-war against Hulk, the method of competition was too simple.

It only proved that Linlin's raw strength far exceeded Hulk's, but her other talents hadn't been displayed.

Training was different. Whether one had talent or not could be seen within a few days.

Carmel wanted to further confirm her suspicions, so she wanted to witness it with her own eyes.

"Sure, no problem."

Reno naturally wouldn't refuse Carmel's request. In fact, he wanted Carmel to see just how freakish Linlin was.

"Then let's go together."

"Children, you stay here and behave. Mother will bring you something delicious when she comes back."

The children who couldn't come along were inevitably disappointed, but hearing about delicious food, most of them cheered up immediately, their disappointment vanishing.

However, Reno could clearly see that Jace still looked sullen.

"Let's hurry. Uncle Hank is waiting impatiently," the impatient Hajrudin urged.

On the way, Hajrudin briefly introduced Hank to Reno.

Hank was the strongest among the younger generation of giants, in terms of both talent and strength.

Even Hulk couldn't last ten rounds against him. He was the undisputed number one.

"Uncle Hank is really strong! With him teaching you, there definitely won't be any problems."

When mentioning Hank, Hajrudin's face was filled with adoration.

Clearly, Hank was like a hero to him, and he aspired to become a warrior like Hank.

Soon, they arrived at the designated training ground for giant warriors.

A towering giant warrior was already waiting there. Reno glanced at him; this must be the Hank that Hajrudin spoke of.

He stood over twenty meters tall, with a robust build, looking like a mountain standing there.

He gave off an aura of indestructibility.

"Uncle Hank, Reno and Linlin are here," Hajrudin shouted a greeting.

"The Chieftain has already informed me. From now on, I will teach you to cultivate Ikoku until the day you master it."

Hank nodded and got straight to the point.

"Are both of you learning??"

Hank looked at Linlin, then at Reno, and asked.

"No, only Linlin is learning. I'm just here to keep her company."

Reno waved his hand at Hank. He was currently playing the role of an ordinary person with no cultivation talent.

Especially in front of Carmel, he naturally couldn't reveal any clues.

However, with his talent, as long as he grasped the essentials of Ikoku, he would naturally learn it with a little training on his own later.

"Hmph."

Hank nodded without surprise. In his opinion, it should be so.

When the Chieftain spoke to him, he only mentioned this little monster named Linlin.

As for other ordinary humans, without a strong physique to support them, they wouldn't be able to learn Ikoku even if they wanted to.

"Linlin, from now on, you train with Uncle Hank. I'll stay here with you, okay??"

"When you finish training, Big Brother will give you cake."

Seemingly a bit shy of strangers, Linlin dared not approach Hank.

But upon hearing there would be cake, she trotted over immediately, leaving Reno feeling quite helpless.

"Linlin, I'll explain the theoretical knowledge first. Listen carefully."

Linlin's super talent had increased Hank's favorability towards her significantly. He even lowered his voice deliberately, afraid of scaring her.

Reno sat not far from Linlin, listening quietly without disturbing the two.

Although he was already very strong, the content Hank taught contained many profound and unique insights.

For his current self, it was also extremely beneficial.

The first day passed quickly. Hank taught Linlin only theoretical knowledge.

Mother Carmel, who had wanted to witness Linlin's talent, ended up watching nothing of substance.

Not only that, but for several consecutive days, Linlin learned only theory.

Yet, despite this, Carmel still came tirelessly every day to watch Linlin.

When she learned there would be no practical combat, she would sit for a while and then leave.

A week of theory passed in a flash.

"Linlin, today I will teach you swordsmanship!"

No matter how much theory one learned, it eventually had to return to practice.

During the six months of training, Roge had taught Linlin swordsmanship.

But that was based on Roge's own understanding. Compared to the giants' systematic comprehension of swordsmanship, the difference was significant.

Moreover, Roge's strength was far inferior to Hank's. Even Reno listened very intently.

So-called swordsmanship was nothing more than a few movements: stabbing, thrusting, chopping, slashing, etc. Complex techniques slowly evolved from these foundations.

To master Ikoku, one had to start practicing from these basics.

Hank demonstrated it himself first, explaining each movement in detail. He would specifically stop to remind Linlin of points that required attention.

Only after he finished demonstrating would he let Linlin follow along.

After Linlin finished, he would point out where she fell short and help her adjust in time.

However, every time, Hank's heart would slowly fill with shock.
