UNCLE KEN'S FARMHOUSE
Jason is woken up by the roosters outside of his guest room, He sits on the bed and rubs his eye, he then looks at his palm and narrates
JASON: What was that last night, my body felt like it was on fire for a split second then…my hands
As he stares at his palms then…
TRAVIS (knocking at his door): Hey Jay, Training is about begin, and don't worry your uncle has somewhere to go so it will just be a half day
JASON: I'll be out there in a minute
TRAVIS: Anything wrong, man?
JASON: Nah I just had a very strange night, that all
TRAVIS (confused): Strange? did see something or?
JASON: Well….you know what, let me get ready and I'll tell you everything
TRAVIS: Alright man. And remember am here for you, if you need me. See you out there (walks away)
Jason look down on his palm
INT. MARCUS UNDERGROUND OFFICE – NIGHT
Marcus sits behind his desk, surrounded by monitors, files, and darkness. A faint knock.
A tall, humanoid bamboo mutant enters
MARCUS (Annoyed): What are you doing here? Aren't you suppose to be guarding the underground?
BAMBOO MUTANT: "Relax I got a letter from the Big man, Big man."
MARCUS: A letter? Why didn't he just send me an email?
BAMBOO CREATURE (Dropping the letter on his desk): Who knows. But by judging from his mood lately, its not looking good for you *Chuckles*. Anyway I gonna run, see ya later, Chief. (then walks out)
MARCUS slowly opens it. Reads it, then violently throws one of the monitors to the wall and slammed his fist on his desk
MARCUS (to himself, hands to his face): "Whe- where is this Nova b*tch AT?
Then he remember something...
Jason
Jason Martinez... why is this kid in my head? He just and ordinary kid who can hardly pass his classes, but Could he be...? no no no. But why does he look like Jessica? *sigh* there's only one way to find out
Marcus grabs his phone and calls someone
MARCUS: Hello?
UNCLE KEN (In a bar smoking, grinning): Howdy…officer
INT. DANIEL'S HOUSE – NIGHT
Daniel stand on his balcony, phone in hand, staring at the screen—Jason still hasn't replied. He sighs and starts talking to himself.
DANIEL (monologue): You know, it's kinda crazy. We've come a long way since the day we met... That idiot took a punch for me even though he didn't know me.
FLASHBACK
Young Jason, 14, throws himself in front of Daniel as a group of older kids try to take Daniel's tech project. Jason gets shoved, punched, but doesn't back down.
After awhile the bullies left
YOUNG JASON (grinning with a bloody lip): That's right, walk away, And if you touch him or his project again, I'll make y'all pay."
Daniel, in awe, clutches his gadget and says quietly:
YOUNG DANIEL: You're really weird... Thank you, Nobody ever stood up for me before.
JASON (Smiling): Its cool, my mom is probably gonna kill me for getting into a fight but it's a small price to pay in protecting someone
DANIEL (speaking over the flashback): I never had anyone protect me from anything before, It even kinda funny, my mom told me I had to be the protector of the family and yet I can't even protect myself, and yet you came and defended me from some bullies that even you can't beat. Yeah this kid is crazy and yet so kindhearted.
BACK TO PRESENT:
DANIEL (Gets his head down): *sigh* I wish you were here, man.
JASON (off-screen, hanging on the edge of the balcony): Aww, that's so sweet.
DANIEL (jumping): DUDE!? Don't sneak up on me like that!
Jason pulls himself up from the balcony ledge.
JASON (grinning): Had to make an entrance.
DANIEL: What happened, Jay? You haven't been picking my calls or texting back for weeks
JASON: Yeah, I've been... busy. Training to be specific.
DANIEL (arms crossed): With Travis?."
JASON: Huh?
Daniel doesn't say anything, arms still crossed
JASON (teasing): Oh come on, don't tell me you are jealous or some.
DANIEL (Nervous): AM NOT, I just…..miss you, man.
JASON (Laughing): I miss you too, D. sorry for not checking up on you.
DANIEL: Its cool, just as long as I see you in class tomorrow
JASON (Chuckles):….Deal
They fist bump. Then Daniel pulls him in for a hug taking Jason by surprise but he hugged him back.
Just then, Mai and Miles burst in. Screaming: JASON!!
MAI (hugging Jason with Miles): We missed you, You look kinda shredded! Did the farm make you ripped?
MILES (grin): Well superman was raised on a farm--but this is impressive, did you fight a cow or something?
JASON: It was a bear, actually. We're friends now.
DANIEL (sitting Jason on his bed): Okay okay stop! Let Jason rest, he probably had a long day.
JASON: Hate to say it but you're right, we just got back home so*yawning as he laid down* am pretty beat
MAI & MILES (Simultaneously): We?
JASON: Me and My older sister Jessica. You remember Mai.
MAI: Oh right, I was once her dress model in exchange for some candy bars and scissors.
MILES: Ooooh, so that where you learned how to throw scissors with a good aim
MAI: *Sigh* Good times.
JASON: Annnyyyways, I just wanted to check up on you guy, and also crash here for a couple of days.
DANIEL: Sure but is there anything wrong?
JASON: Nah, I really don't want to disturb Jessica since its her day off, The last thing I want is to give her a reason to stress over me in the morning.
DANIEL: I get it, I'll go get you an air mattress and some blankets.
MILES: Hey Daniel, why don't you crash at Jason's place for a night?
DANIEL (Serious tone): Because I can't leave you two hoodlums overnight, without something bad happening.
MAI (arms crossed): What? not true.
DANIEL: Mai, I recently made some explosive boomerangs and I saw you and Miles playing it outside. Targeting crows?
MAI: We were bored, okay.
DANIEL: It took me HOURS!! just to make one.
MILES (Smiling): And it took us seconds to test them, your welcome.
DANIEL (Angry): Why you lit---
Daniel chases them out of his room and down the halls as Jason laughs, then the laughter quickly fades as he stare back at his hands, then starts getting flashbacks but nothing happens
He later take deep breaths as lays back down
THE NEXT DAY
Jessica is at grocery store, shopping but she kept thinking about What were in those crates at Uncle Kens
JESSICA: I didn't want us to leave so soon but I was worried about Jason's safety, And those crates, they can't just be some normal training equipment or farmer goods, What are you hiding, Uncle Ken?
EXT. ELITE TRAINING GROUND – AFTERNOON
Daniel prep Jason up for a sparring session
DANIEL (Patting him on his back): Okay Jason, you're next, don't overdo it, no kicking below the belt and make sure you don't break anyth--
JASON (Turning to him): Daniel…I'll be fine, now hold this *Gives him his jacket and towel* I gonna go kick some Ace.
As Daniel turns back he bumps into someone.
DANIEL (panicking): Am so sorry, I didn't see y…
As Daniel stops and stare, Turns out he accidentally bump into Amanda
Daniel get distracted by her and wasn't paying attention to what she was saying.
AMANDA (waving at him): Hello? Hellllooo? Earth to Glasses
DANIEL (snipping back, nervous): Huh? oh sorry about that--that I mean bumping into you, Amanda Reyes, who's talking to me. Sorry am weird *creepy chuckle*.
DANIEL (Inner monologue): F**k she gonna think am creepy and walk away.
AMANDA (cover her mouth while laughing): It's cool Glasses, Just relax and take care of your nose bleed.
Daniel freaks out as he searching a paper towel from his bag and place it on his nose
Daniel eventually gets himself cleaned up and turns to Amanda with a smile
DANIEL: There, all gone.
Amanda, using her thumb to wipe the remaining blood off his lips
AMANDA (Smiles): Now its gone
DANIEL (blush a little, nervous): Tha- Thanks, Amanda.
AMANDA: Don't mention it, So this spar, who do you think is gonna win?
DANIEL: Not sure... I just hope Jason doesn't break anything... again.
AMANDA (whispering, teasing): Hmmm…Hey you think I can take him?
DANIEL: WAIT WHAT?
AMANDA: What? Don't tell me you're deaf too? me & your friend 1v1, who wins?

ANIEL (stunned by the question): I..ahh..well..if..maybe…
AMANDA (laughing, stepping closer): Am just messing with you, and don't worry about Jason, honestly I would be worried about the guy who's want to face him.
The match begins.
VIKTOR challenges Jason.
DANIEL (Covering his face): Oh crap.
Travis nudges Bennett.
TRAVIS: You not gonna stop your brother?
BENNETT: Nah. Its about time someone put him in his place.
TRAVIS (Laughing): Alright, Ben, But... he's your brother.
The fight begins. Viktor without hesitation goes for a some punches but Jason dodges all of it. Then—
After a messy jab from Viktor, Jason grabs Viktor's arm and pulls a judo takedown move—LIFTING Viktor off the ground and slamming him to the ground.
EVERYONE STUNNED.
Even Patricia watches from the sidelines.
VIKTOR (Getting up, angry): You think this means you're better than me?
He lunges again, but Bennett grabs his hand stopping him.
BENNETT: You lost. Don't embarrass yourself further and just take the L.
VIKTOR (angry): Out of my way, Ben, this isn't over until beat him.
BENNETT: Stop it, Viktor, You're starting to sound like Dad.
Viktor freezes. As Bennett walks away.
AFTER THE MATCH
(ITS GETTING LATE)
Jason & Daniel are talking about the fight
Then Lysa walks up to them.
LYSA (Smiling, waving at them): Hey guy
JASON & DANIEL (Simultaneously): LYSA!!
DANIEL (With his nose bleeding again): Ohh shit, not again *walks away*
JASON (Nervous): He- Hey Lysa.
LYSA (Smirk): HEY, Champ.
JASON (Whispering to Daniel): Is she…talking about to me?
DANIEL (paper towel to his nose): You cant be this dumb, man.
LYSA: Heard you guys were heading home together, I was wondering if I can tag along?
JASON (trying to act cool): YES!... I mean, Sure whatever.
DANIEL (normal): Yup, that would fine.
LYSA: Cool, let me go and get my bag
(walks off)
JASON (panicking): Oh my gosh, Lysa's walking with us! What do I do? How do I act cool!"
SLAP!!
DANIEL (Shaking him): Snap out of it, just act normal or something
JASON: Right Right, thanks for that, I'll sooo get you back for the slap though.
EXT- DOWNTOWN ASHEVILLE
The trio walk the night streets, talking, laughing and even teasing each other.
After awhile, Lysa gets paranoid that someone is following them
LYSA (tense): Hey guys... Do you feel like we're being watched?
JASON: By who? Paparazzi?.
DANIEL: HA, Good one *They fist bump*
LYSA (serious): Am serious, I heard something.
DANIEL: Hold up, I hear something too.
Then JASON Stops in his tracks and focus on the directions of the sound. Then he sense someone breathing up on one of the rooftops
JASON (Quietly): Guys—rooftop. Left."
DANIEL (Confused): Wait how did y-
JASON: NO TIME, LYSA NOW!!
Lysa quickly unzips Daniel's backpack, pulls out one of his explosive boomerang, and throws it.
A figure dodges it.
LYSA: There!
They chase after it, after awhile the figure slipped and fell to the ground. Turns out it was a kid wearing a mask & dressed in all black, they try to ask who he or she is but the little spy ran off.
Eventually the chase leads to a dead-end alley. The little spy turns to them with an almost emotionless look in his eyes—the trio slowly approach him telling him to calm down but before they can get to him, a glowing blue eyes mutant (also wearing a mask & dressed in all black) dashed in, grabs the spy, and it vault over a massive building wall in one leap.
LYSA (Looking up, shocked): WHAT DA--
JASON (wide-eyed): "Did he just...?"
DANIEL (shaking): Jumped over a DAMN BUILDING?.
The figure stares them down from the building, eyes glowing. And Jason recognizes those eyes (It was the same as that thing he saw at the maze). Then in another jump
BOOM!
it vanishes. Leaving them stunned and wondering what was that?
