Wu Xie
It was a while before their longing for kisses ended and in the end, Wu Xie was out of breath, so he gasped as he rested his head on Xiaoge's while keeping his arms around Xiaoge's neck. Their touch still remained, wanted and heavenly, but they had a respite from her heated passions.
"Xiaoge... I love you and I will do anything to help you find your lost memories. So, let's start again..." Wu Xie whisper.
"Not start, continue..." Xiaoge said back and Wu Xie laughed, finally having something to rejoice in his life, then give him a gentle kiss.
"Alright, we will continue..." Wu Xie agree and Xiaoge cupped his face with his hands.
"I'm sorry for make you suffer." Xiaoge whisper.
"It was not your intention, so there is no need to apologize. We will get back what you lost and see if we can prevent it for happening again. I have the name of someone that can helps us find information about your past, but I will need to make an investigation before get in contact with him. So just give me a few days and we will be on our way to the places it lead us." Wu Xie said and Xiaoge assented.
"Okay then... about your housings, you will stay here of course, until we travel again. Did Pangzi buy you new clothes before coming here? If not, we can go shopping and find something than can fit you." Wu Xie offer and Xiaoge actually smiled softly.
"He did buy me clothes... there are in my bag." Xiaoge told him as he pointed at the black bag that was left on the lobby.
"Oh... then let's settle you here now before Pangzi and Wang Meng comes back. Despite what this place looks like, there are a lot of rooms. Pangzi had stayed here before, so he has a room of his own next to mine... but I have one more room at the end of the corridor of the house that leads to the back garden or... well... you see... if you prefer... we can..." Wu Xie blushed like hell as he try to spill the words out.
"Share my room..." He finally let it out and Xiaoge assented immediately, making Wu Xie's blush even redder. He didn't even give it a thought...
"Share." Xiaoge confirmed, not feeling in the least embarrassed and Wu Xie smiled, because that just proved that Xiaoge's feelings were indeed the same before he lost his memories. They could built more memories as they live together, as long as the feelings were intact, they could keep up from where they had left it.
"Then, it's decided... follow me..." Wu Xie said as he guided Xiaoge into the corridor that leaded to the house. Xiaoge took his bag, as he walked pass by it and follow Wu Xie's guidance to his room. After a short walk, Wu Xie stopped in front of a door and smiled at him before open it and then... he close it again, as he once again blushed.
"Wu Xie?" Xiaoge asked, tilting his head to one side in cute confusion, which make Wu Xie blush even harder.
"I was wake up in a rush... it's a bit messy right now, just give me the bag and I will take care of this later..." Wu Xie explained and Xiaoge actually smirked.
"It's not a problem. We sleep in messed places before." Xiaoge insisted and Wu Xie sighed. They had sleep in the woods infested by snakes and the desert, so yeah... they have seen worse than just a few pieces of clothes left behind here and there. However, still embarrassed, Wu Xie open the door to his room once more, but at that time, he hear Pangzi's voice calling for him, so Wu Xie simply grabbed Xiaoge's bag and put it in, then close his room again.
"Let's meet with Pangzi first... he had been out for a long time now..." Wu Xie evaded and walk back to the shop with hurried steps. Behind him Xiaoge smiled, feeling that the shy Wu Xie was actually... cute and he like it very much.
Later, after they eat their meal, Wu Xie focus into finding information about the name that had been writing in the notebook. Pangzi make some call to his informants and Wang Meng try to dig as much as he could from the contact found on their research.
It end up with an appointment in the afternoon. The man asked for money in exchange for the information he have on Zhang Qiling, so Wu Xie asked Qiling to stay in the shop and Pangzi and him went out to retrieve the money asked from his account and then meet with the man that has worked with his uncle San once.
At the appointed time, Pangzi and he headed for the meeting place and walked in. The man was already waiting for them inside the private room and greet them as they walked in. Wu Xie sat in one of the chairs in front of the man and Pangzi took the other. The bald man smiled at them and offer them a cup of tea, which they refused.
"Do you have the information we asked?" Wu Xie asked first.
"But of course, Master Xiao San, do you have the money?" The man asked back and Pangzi give him a bag with the required payment. The man smiled pleased and took the bag, then take the money out and started to count it.
"Can we talk as you make sure is complete?" Pangzi asked impatiently.
"All in good time, Pangzi... this will only take a minute or two..." The man said and thus Wu Xie and Pangzi waited... a minute passed, one count, another minute passed, then a second and a third and even a forth. At that point, Wu Xie was just piss off.
"Mister Chu... you have already count it four times. Do you really need to count it more than that? What about our end of the deal?" Wu Xie asked impatiently.
"Oh... pardon me, how rude... alright. I was once asked to investigate Mute Zhang's background for your uncle, right when he wanted to make a good balanced team to raid a tomb. He had hear rumors that he was kind of special and a very good finding traps and fighting, not to mention to keep the members alive... well, more than most hired man that is."
"You see, it was pretty much impossible to find things from his childhood, but there was a bit of info after he had grown up. I think you will be very surprised to find out at least one of his past employers before working for your uncle..." The man said and Wu Xie was curious instantly.
"Who?" Wu Xie asked.
"Grandpa Si." The man answer and Wu Xie looked at Pangzi in surprise. Of all of the possible employers in their business, why it had to be that brutal man? For some reason, Wu Xie was now back to worry about his Xiaoge's lost past.
"You really mean Chen Pi Ah Si? From one of the Nine Old Gates?" Pangzi asked for Wu Xie.
"The very same."
"But why will he be working for that man? What connection do they have?" Wu Xie asked impatiently, not liking where the so needed info was heading.
"Ah... have you ever hear of fish bait? It can be used in more than just fish... also on tombs... to see if they had blood zombies..." The man answer and at that Wu Xie paled as his heart sink to the floor and his blood run cold all over his veins.
"No way! You can't mean that Xiaoge was used like that?" Wu Xie asked angrily.
"Oh but he was... you see, Grandpa Si was once hired by a man that wanted to enter a dangerous tomb. They were guided to a faraway place, deep in the forest and were to deal with the dangers of the tomb. Grandpa Si thought that someone must had die the first time they went in, which would explain why they had hired him, but what he saw there, was something he had never witness before."
"As they walked, the men working for his employer were carrying a big basket and when they got to the place where the entrance of the tomb was, Grandpa Si offer to go inside and have a look, but the men stop him while saying they were going to send someone in first. As you may already imagine the one in the basket was none other than a younger Mute Zhang, tied up."
"What?!!" Wu Xie asked as he stood and slammed his hand on the table in fury.
"Tianzhen, calm down..." Pangzi said as he pull down his enraged brother.
"How can you ask me to calm down? This is Xiaoge we are talking about!!" Wu Xie shouted.
"Yeah... but like it or not this is his past, the one Xiaoge had asked to know, so just let the man finish and see if we can find more of why he tends to lose his memories."
"I would have wanted to lose those memories." Wu Xie whisper as he sat again.
"So what happened next?" Pangzi asked and the man looked at Wu Xie before continue his report.
"The men forced Mute Zhang to enter the tomb and a minute after, others went in too, including one of Grandpa Si men. Then... the ones outside could hear screams from below and Grandpa Si ringed a bell to guide them back to the entrance. Only his man could come out and he said there was a blood zombie walking around the tomb. Immediately, Grandpa Si order for the tomb to be sealed, trapping the other men and Mute Zhang inside." By then, Wu Xie was closing his hands into fits, but Pangzi slightly tapped his back to keep him calm.
"He is so vicious, so brutal." Wu Xie spitted, unable to hold it for much longer.
"His reputation had always been on the same lines." Pangzi whisper as he rubbed Wu Xie's back.
"Then how did Xiaoge got out?" Wu Xie asked.
"A week later, after Grandpa Si scared the other team, he came back with his men to loot the tomb on his own, but when he unsealed the tomb back... Mute Zhang came out unscratched and even with enough strength to catch Grandpa Si's special weapon with his bare hand. Then, as he face Grandpa Si, he said... if you go in, you will die." The man related and Wu Xia only wanted to throw up.
"Are you okay, Tianzhen?..." Pangzi asked now with worry, because Tianzhen really looked sick.
"I'm fine... so from then on he worked for Chen Pi Ah Si?" Wu Xie force himself to ask next.
"Ah yeah... Grandpa Si was so impressed with him for surviving in the tomb for a week without anything to eat and with a blood zombie there no less, that he offer Mute Zhang to be part of his team. He was going to get well paid and have a place to stay, for as long as he proved his worth..."
"Damn old man... Where was the place?" Wu Xie asked under his breath.
"Somewhere in a village in Guangxi. It was rumor that he lived in the village and that the group of tomb raider kidnapped him, thinking he was somewhat retarded, as he looked disoriented, didn't talk with the locals and lived mostly on his own world." This time Pangzi sighed in heartache.
"I would have never imagine that Xiaoge had live such a miserable life... which only makes me feel happier that he is not suffering such a fate this time around. You keep him well and healthy... and give him a home to come back to." Pangzi whisper.
"No wonder he said that he had no ties with this world. He had been alone for most of his life, suffering abuse and mistreatment. He don't need to know about it." Wu Xie said in sorrow.
"No kidding." Pangzi agree with Tianzhen. There was no real need to tell him he was cruelly abused in the past. He was cherished now, not to mention loved.
"Is there a connection to Banai? Did he lived there at some point?" Wu Xie asked impatiently, already wanting to go back to Xiaoge and kiss him senseless to make it for all the past mistreatment.
"Yes. There was a stilt house in the village, one that was also away from the rest and he lived there. I went there myself and found some photos inside the house, under a long piece of glass... wait for a second..." The man excused himself as he looked for something on his back and then give it to Wu Xie.
He took it and notice it was the photo of a man that had slopped shoulder and another by his side with long hair. They were not facing the camera and were behind an old hospital screen sheet, so he could not see what they looked like or who they were, but the place itself looked very familiar.
"I can't distinguish the ones in the photo... but the place looks familiar." Wu Xie said, as he focus his vision a bit more.
"Master Xiao San, turn it around..." The man said and so Wu Xie did and was even more shocked to read the character written behind.
"Golmud Sanatorium!" Wu Xie read it aloud.
"Again?" Pangzi asked as he took the photo from Wu Xie.
"Why this place again... just what the hell was done there?" Wu Xie asked more to himself than from the other two men with him.
"Tianzhen... this should have been taken before that video..." Pangzi whisper.
"Do you have more photos?" Wu Xie asked with visible urgency.
"Of course not. I was investigating in secret, how could I have taken all the photos and not be discover? I'm afraid that if you want to know more, you will need to go there yourself. I can give you the address, it's all part of the service." The man offer and Wu Xie told him to write it down.
After that, Wu Xie was in a hurry to go back home. He was stupid to be all shy before, just for some scattered clothes on his room. Xiaoge had suffer so greatly for so long and with no one to really care for him for what he was. It was time... oh it was time to give Xiaoge everything he had, his body, his soul, his life... it was time to make him feel loved and grounded into a place he could always be remember and be selflessly needed.
