The clock ticked as every second itched close to our victory, but Kanade stood there like it was tied. Yoichi kicked me the ball and I passed right back. Yoichi blitzed past everyone but the other team kept him open. He ran until there was nowhere else to run and the opponent stole the ball from him. Kanade began to run forward but I quickly pursued him.
"Where do you think you're going?"
Kanade suddenly cut toward his teammate and darted to the other side of the pitch. His teammate passed to him and Jaylon cut in front of him and I stopped him from moving to the side. Kanade began to do lightning fast scissors before kicking the ball as a hard bullet. Darting past me and Jaylon's faces, the ball wiggled and suddenly cut into the legs of one of Kanade's teammates. The goalkeeper readied himself for the shot but as soon as the ball hit the ground it darted to another teammate.
The teammate threw his leg back and launched the ball into the back of the net. With the score being 3-2 everyone began to panic. But that's okay, one more goal and we win 100%.
"No, there is no victory. No hope. Every bit of it was given to you. So get ready for an inevitable defeat."
Me and Jaylon turned to look at Kanade. The void emerged from his eyes as it engulfed him. He had no fire, just a cold void waiting to swallow everyone else's fire.
