Chapter 3 - Freezers

The cold air surrounded me as I took the first step into the dimly lit yard. I yearned to lay in the snow, waiting for the cold to slowly freeze me, maybe my fingers would freeze off first, or maybe my nose. As I walk around, I look around, the trees silent as if they never spoke. I recall when it was spring, the trees started to talk, never silent, even in the dark nights. As I return to reality, snapping out of my daydream, I came to a realization. The snow had stealthily snuck into my shoes, slowly melting as more snow entered my shoes. I headed back to the door, ready to return to the warmth that has always been. I wished to return outside once again, regardless, it was time to stay inside.
