John poured water on the mutant to shock him, and his reaction was a loud scream followed by the mutant freezing in place. Steam began to rise from him as if he were evaporating, until the place fell silent and the four friends tried to comprehend what was happening, while Cairo watched silently, mixed with tension. Han approached John.
"You're a genius, John."
Ryan smiled and said "You solved one of the mysteries, and now we know what hurts them."
-Wow, what would you have done without me! Hahaha
Ian approached John to raise his fist to John to respond to John's victory
salute.
-You'll defeat Rain like this.
-Hahaha, I know. The friends gathered again to discuss what was happening. Rain asked
first
-Did you lose your homes? Did you find anyone? Everyone replied, "No," then John said
-That's strange. I didn't find anyone, not even in the neighbors' houses. I didn't find any trace of anyone. Their houses were in chaos, as if a hurricane had passed through and taken everyone with it.
"My parents aren't answering their phone either. Actually, the phone
isn't working. Have you lost your phones?" Han was shocked after checking his phone.
"What? That's strange! It was working a moment ago."
Ian interjected, saying "It's working. My phone is working."
John laughed and said
-Han, you idiot, I think your phone battery is dead, ha ha ha.
John gets a punch on the shoulder from Han and gets up to recharge his
phone. He asks Ian Ryan "Is your phone really not working?"
-Yes, it's strange! But don't worry, I called my parents from a landline and they didn't answer, so I thought smartphones weren't working.
"Let's check the TV, maybe we'll find something."
We turned on the TV, but nothing! It's not working! It was working a moment ago! ... Ian looked at Han after noticing his teary eyes.
-What's wrong, Han?
"I'm worried about my mom and brother. What's going on? We don't know what happened or where our families are. No one is answering, the TV isn't working, people have turned into mutants, and we're alone
here with no idea what to do."
Ryan added "We've been alone for a long time."
Silence fell over the room. Everyone was overcome with fear and sadness, lost and unsure of what to do... John stepped in to break the prevailing sadness, putting his arm around Han and saying
"Don't cry, Han. We'll find a solution. You saw how I killed that mutant a
moment ago. Don't be sad, I'm here."
Han replied with a groan "I saw your eyes fill with tears."
"Don't lie. His hair got in my eyes."
Ryan intervenes, saying
"Let's focus. First, we don't know what's happening. We only know that humans have become mutants, and we're not sure yet if everyone has been transformed or if there are others hiding like us. We also know that
water kills them and that they fear it."
Ian began looking around as if searching for something, which made them wonder and look around. John said in surprise
"What? What? What are you looking for? You're straining my neck."
"Where did Cairo go?!" Everyone was stunned and began to look around seriously, and John
complained, saying "I've got goose bumps. Where did that jerk disappear to?"
Han replied fearfully
-Is this scary? Ryan's voice came softly as he stood near the window. "There's no one outside except the mutants."
A sudden voice came from John beside him.
"Look, it's Hyun!"
-Who? Where?
"Hyun, Han's brother! He's behind that house. He seems to be hiding. He's looking at his house. I think he wants to get to Han."
Han rushes to look out the window and scans the area to see his brother hiding and the mutants roaming around. Han rushes to the exit to get his
brother, but Ryan stops him
-Wait! Don't you see? We don't know yet how they transform. He might
transfer to you without you knowing. "Let me go. My brother is in danger." John grabs him to stop him from going.
"We know you want to help your brother. We all want to help you, but
this is dangerous."
"Let me go!" Ian approached John and Han to stand in front of Han.
-Let him go, John
-But?
-We'll save your brother, Han, but we can't be reckless. Let's save him
and ourselves. Let's do this smartly. They both calmed down, and John left Han...
In the middle of the neighborhood where the mutants roam, the atmosphere is tense and turbulent... John's voice echoes behind the
front door of Ryan's house.
"Hurry up, Han."
Han rushes out and heads towards his brother. John follows him, holding a hose used for watering plants, and starts spraying everywhere to hit
the mutants. Ryan appears behind John and says
"Ian, hold the hose and put your finger over the opening so it looks like rain. John and I will try to fight them to slow them down while the water
does its job."
