"Do you want me to do your account now?" I ask Anderson from the doorway. I am so bored. Sophie and Dad disappeared somewhere. Those two are acting like they just got married. I mean, they did, but it is not the first time for either of them.
"Right now?" He hops off his bed. I walk into his room and close the door. His real question should be, why wait? I could do this in my sleep. He pulls a shirt on over his head before handing me his phone. "Alright, Elara. Do your thing."
I stand there in the middle of his room, not sure if I should sit on the bed or at his desk. He decides for me, patting the space beside him on the mattress. I sink down next to him.
"I need to see what you are doing," he says. But I tell myself he just wants to be near me. And that is fine, because I want to be near him, too.
