Harold's POV
Charlies had everyone's attention now. That's when people finally spotted Chad and two other guys standing by the door - we'd been there for a while.
The moment I stepped into that lab building and caught sight of Phoebe's dark expression, my blood ran cold.
Chad jumped in before I could say anything, clearly worried I'd scare the hell out of these students. "Professor Drake, what's happening here?"
He kept shooting desperate looks at Carol, practically begging the guy to explain.
But Carol was too pissed off to recognize me. Plus, he probably figured Phoebe was just some unwanted Hale daughter. With Chad being such a pushover, Carol didn't think he'd face any real consequences.
The whole thing with Phoebe's supposed misconduct had witnesses too. Even with Chad here, Carol felt he was completely in the right.
