Carol clearly hadn't expected me to snap back at him like that. His eyes fixed on me with obvious displeasure. "Phoebe, do you dare disrupt my class? Do you respect me at all? Get out."
His icy tone didn't faze me in the slightest.
I stayed put, arms folded across my chest, face blank, with zero intention of moving. I didn't even bother responding to his demand.
Seriously, what was I thinking when I came back to Coralia? Why the hell did I pick this annoying college student cover for myself?
With my skills, I could waltz into Clearwater University as a visiting professor tomorrow. But that would've raised red flags with the Hale family.
This whole student act was getting on my nerves. I hadn't even started digging into what I came here for, and already I was drowning in petty drama and irritating people.
