Harold's POV
I shot Johnson a cold stare after snatching the scalpel from Phoebe's grip. "You seriously think you can drag her along on some wild adventure?"
Johnson shrank back, instantly turning into a scared kid. "Hell no, I wouldn't even think about it."
Worried I might spook Johnson again, Phoebe jumped in quickly. "Take it easy. I already told you we're waiting until after the sports meet, or the infirmary will be completely empty."
Johnson's fear of me vanished in an instant, and he cracked up laughing. "Phoebe, you're absolutely ruthless."
I kept my eyes locked on Johnson, making damn sure he wouldn't get another chance to corrupt Phoebe with his crazy ideas.
A few days later, at the Clearwater University sports meet, Johnson finally got his opening.
With Phoebe right there beside him, he nearly delivered a bone-crushing blow to Jeremy's kidneys on the spot.
I felt a grudging respect for Johnson when he smartly climbed out of the car and walked home by himself.
