Phoebe's POV
The walk from the stadium to the school infirmary would take way too long—far too far for Patty and Trish in their current state. So the observer flagged down one of those campus shuttle carts the school uses to transport students.
"Phoebe, would you mind helping me get them to the infirmary? I'd really appreciate it," the observer said when I volunteered to help. He had to stay at the sports event, and I could tell he was worried about leaving his partner to handle everything alone. My offer to help was clearly a huge weight off his shoulders.
"Of course! Go back to work—I've got this covered," I said with a smile, waving him off. Then I climbed into the cart, grinning at Patty and Trish, who were watching me with obvious terror.
I tapped the driver on the shoulder. "Let's go, lan."
