Phoebe's POV
The executive floor used to house just two offices—the CEO's and the secretary's.
But ever since I forced my way in, Winslow had stepped up as acting CEO of the Hale Group.
Sergio, our vice president, had no choice but to surrender the CEO's office and relocate to the cramped space next door.
Still, Sergio hadn't completely turned against me. His restraint actually impressed me somewhat. More importantly, it confirmed my suspicions—something within the company was forcing Sergio to bite his tongue and hold his ground.
I stepped off the elevator and slipped swiftly into Sergio's office. The moment I closed the door, I restored the surveillance signal in both the hallway and the room.
Sergio had recently moved into this space, so apart from his original desk, everything else was fresh from the logistics department.
If Sergio was concealing anything here, that desk was the only logical hiding spot.
