Chapter 15 - 15

The incident at the gym was just a minor episode for Campbell Watson. If it weren't for Hussein pushing his luck and trying to teach him a lesson, Campbell wouldn't have bothered to lift a finger. It was like an adult bullying a child—what's the point?

However, for Dawson, it was big news. He had always thought Campbell was a pushover. But when he heard that Hussein had been kicked away by Campbell, his perception of Campbell changed immediately.

With his own skills, Dawson could defeat Hussein, but to take him down with a single kick? That was beyond his confidence. Could it be that Campbell was a hidden master?

Dawson felt a bit relieved. If Hussein hadn't tested Campbell's strength, he would have continued to foolishly believe that Campbell was easy to deal with.

"Looks like I need to come up with a new plan," Dawson thought, sitting in his office, deep in contemplation.

While Dawson was figuring out how to deal with Campbell, Campbell was at the HR department, completing his onboarding paperwork. Iker, efficient as always, quickly finished all the procedures.

Declining Iker's invitation for tea, Campbell left the HR department, planning to grab lunch with Farris. But then he received a text from Promise Nelson, so he headed straight to the underground parking lot.

"What took you so long?"

In the underground parking lot, Promise Nelson watched Campbell Watson step out of the elevator, feeling a bit annoyed.

It had been fifteen minutes since she texted him.

If her dad hadn't repeatedly reminded her to always bring Campbell along when leaving the company, she wouldn't have bothered waiting.

"What's so urgent that you had to call me down?" Campbell asked nonchalantly, ignoring Promise's complaints as he casually scratched his ear.

He hadn't even had a chance to get closer to Farris before Promise called him out, leaving him a bit frustrated.

"Get in the car, and I'll tell you," Promise snapped, glaring at Campbell before getting into the car.

Campbell followed suit, buckled his seatbelt, and Promise started the car, slowly driving out of the garage and onto Peaceful River Road, merging into the traffic.

"What have you found in the security department?" Promise asked as she drove.

"Nothing yet," Campbell replied, his eyes reflecting a hint of nostalgia as he watched the skyscrapers flash by, seemingly lost in some memory.

Promise didn't notice Campbell's expression and continued, "I suspect Deputy Minister Dawson is involved in the leak. Keep an eye on him."

"Got it," Campbell responded.

Campbell Watson seemed a bit distracted and responded absentmindedly.

Promise Nelson noticed Campbell's change in mood and found it a bit odd, but decided not to press the issue, focusing on driving instead.

The car fell into silence, with neither of them saying a word.

After more than half an hour, the Porsche pulled up in front of a traditional, elegant building.

"We're here. Time to get out," Promise said, snapping Campbell out of his thoughts.

"Where is this?" Campbell asked as he stepped out of the car, looking curiously at the classical pavilion before him.

"This is Rain Listening Pavilion, a high-end club," Promise explained, rolling his eyes.

"My dad booked a private room here to welcome you."

Rain Listening Pavilion was a well-known club in East Sea City, frequented by the wealthy and influential. Promise couldn't quite understand why his dad would go to such lengths to host a bodyguard in such a prestigious place. No matter how skilled, a bodyguard was still just a bodyguard.

Despite his confusion, Promise couldn't go against his father's wishes and had to bring Campbell along.

Under the eaves of Rain Listening Pavilion hung rows of wind chimes.

As the breeze blew, they produced a clear and pleasant sound, complemented by the chirping of unknown birds in the surrounding woods, making the place feel like a hidden paradise.

Campbell Watson glanced up at the three elegantly written characters of "Rain Listening Pavilion" and nodded to himself, recognizing the masterful calligraphy.

"Welcome."

As soon as they stepped into the Rain Listening Pavilion, two hostesses approached them. "Do you have a membership card?"

"Yes," Promise Nelson replied, pulling a pink card from her purse and handing it to the hostesses.

Promise rarely frequented such places, so the hostesses didn't recognize her.

One of the hostesses took a quick look at the card before respectfully returning it with a smile. "Welcome, Miss Promise. Do you have a reservation?"

"Yes, it's already booked. You can go about your business; we'll find our way up,"

Promise said, putting away her membership card and heading straight to the second floor.

The hostesses stepped aside.

Just as Campbell was about to follow, a sudden screech of brakes from outside caught his attention.

Curious, Campbell turned to see a purple Maserati GT roaring to a stop in front of the Rain Listening Pavilion with a flawless drift.

The car door silently swung open like a pair of wings.

A stunning woman with big, wavy blonde hair, dressed in a classic black cross-strap mini dress, stepped into view.

She was incredibly sexy, with a body so curvaceous it made Campbell's mouth go dry, tempting him to do unspeakable things.

Every smile, every move she made was captivating, leaving anyone who saw her utterly spellbound.

She was a stunning beauty who could easily ignite anyone's desires.

Campbell Watson stared at her, his eyes burning with fire.

Kaitlyn took off her sunglasses and sashayed into the Rain Listening Pavilion.

"Kaitlyn."

Two hostesses saw Kaitlyn and quickly bowed in greeting.

"Mm." Kaitlyn nodded slightly, her beautiful eyes glancing at the spellbound Campbell before looking away.

She was used to this kind of reaction.

"Campbell, what are you standing there for?"

Promise Nelson, standing on the second floor, turned around and shouted at Campbell, who was standing dumbfounded at the entrance, staring at Kaitlyn.

"Oh? Miss Promise? What a rare guest."

Kaitlyn was slightly taken aback upon seeing Promise, then greeted her with a bright smile.

"Hmph, shameless vixen."

Promise snorted coldly, her pretty face instantly turning icy.

Kaitlyn wasn't upset by Promise's words. She smiled and turned her gaze back to Campbell, looking thoughtful.

It seemed Kaitlyn had found some amusement. She moved gracefully, like a snake, towards Campbell, pressing half of her body against his. Her slender fingers hooked under his chin, her actions both flirtatious and provocative, making his mouth dry and heart itch.

"Hey there, little brother, what are you doing here all alone?"

Kaitlyn exhaled softly, her small, pink tongue licking her red lips, making her look incredibly seductive.

Her body had a milky fragrance that was intoxicating.

Campbell Watson stared at the two voluptuous, white mounds on her chest, his Adam's apple bobbing, his breathing heavy, and his eyes fixed.

This woman was truly a stunner.

Even though Campbell had seen beauties from all over the world, he couldn't help but feel his heart race, wishing he could pin this beauty down and ravish her.

"Hey there, little brother, would you like to join me for dinner? I'm so lonely all by myself," Kaitlyn said, moving closer, pressing her ample chest against Campbell's, causing them to deform.

This was blatant seduction.

Feeling the softness against his chest, Campbell's heart pounded, and he was about to agree when he suddenly heard a furious shout from the second floor.

Promise Nelson yelled, "Campbell, if you dare go to dinner with her, I... I..."

Promise trailed off, realizing she had no leverage over Campbell, whom she had only met a day ago.

Campbell froze, looking from Kaitlyn to Promise, and instantly understood.

So this woman was seducing him to get at Promise.

"Don't be afraid, little brother. If you have dinner with me, I'll do anything you want," Kaitlyn whispered into Campbell's ear, her breath warm and fragrant, making his mouth dry and his desires surge.

You had to admit, Kaitlyn's charm was quite powerful.

Even Campbell Watson, who usually had great self-control, couldn't help but feel his heart flutter. His mind was in turmoil, with two little voices battling it out. One urged him to stay true to himself and not be swayed by beauty, while the other insisted he should seize the moment and enjoy life.

The conflicting thoughts were making his head spin...

"Hey, isn't that Kaitlyn? And who's that pretty boy with her?"

In an elegant private room on the second floor, four young men with a rough-and-tumble air about them were sitting together.

One of them, with a buzz cut, had been enjoying the opera but happened to catch sight of Kaitlyn flirting with Campbell. He jumped up, as if doubting his own eyes, and walked to the window for a closer look. Confirming what he saw, he was instantly furious.

"Who the hell is that pretty boy? Daring to mess with the prince's woman... Hey, call the prince right now!"

The buzz-cut guy gritted his teeth and ran a hand over his short hair, turning to a young man in a floral shirt.

The guy in the floral shirt didn't make the call. Instead, he stood up and sneered, "Why bother the prince with such a small matter? The four of us can handle it."

"But, bro, this is the Rain Listening Pavilion. Even Mr. Flannery wouldn't dare cause trouble here. We..." The buzz-cut guy hesitated.

"Are you kidding me?" The guy in the floral shirt interrupted. "What I mean is, we'll wait until that guy leaves the Rain Listening Pavilion, then we'll teach him a lesson."

"He's right. No need to bother the prince with this. The four of us can handle it."

"Just a pretty boy. I'll slap him into next week. Messing with the prince's woman, I'll teach him a lesson in respect."

The other two young men also sneered, agreeing with the plan.

"Alright, let's do it."

The man with the buzz cut nodded, returned to his seat, and downed a glass of whiskey in one gulp. A fierce look appeared on his stern face.

Kaitlyn was known throughout East Sea City as the Prince's untouchable treasure.

And now, some nobody from who-knows-where dared to lay a finger on her. It was a direct challenge to the Prince's authority.

When the master is insulted, the followers must act!

As one of the Prince's four top enforcers, the rage burning in their hearts was unimaginable...
