Chapter 8 - The Council Of Elder Exorcist

He picked up the nurse, carrying her on his shoulder, and before walking out of the room, he looked at Williams, then he said...

"I'm coming for you, boy."

"What?"

Losing control, Williams fell down to the bed, covering himself with the bed covers.

He just hoped the nurse had fainted and not died. He had really gotten to like his grandfather; he wouldn't want to kill the only exorcist who could be useful later on.

-[Ding]

-[Death Mastery: 1/10]—[Unique Skill: Death Shroud]

-[Death Shroud has synthesized into two forms: Abyss Shroud and Death Shroud]

-[Abyss Shroud: Suppresses and submits opponents]

Williams watched the black interface. He was sure earlier he used Death Shroud. He was mastering aura, and it led to Death Shroud.

It would only make sense Abyss Shroud is there because Death Shroud would just kill those weaker when activated.

It wouldn't be useful in terms of interrogation.

"Shit, man, an aura like this would make any weak person even look dangerous."

Williams stared at his tender palm. As he was fantasizing about his achievements, he heard footsteps.

It was Lord Reid. He walked inside and shut the door. Sitting on the bed, he sighed. Williams was already staring at him with a perplexed look on his tender face.

"You just killed your first human," said Lord Reid, his eyes closed.

Williams was taken aback. He didn't think the aura could kill weak things when he was still tender.

His heart was pounding, juggling the thoughts of using the die skill on Lord Reid or not. However, Lord Reid's next words...

"Well, we'll have to keep this between us, Will, especially from your mother," was what calmed William's troubled mind.

He could recognize the look on his great father's face, a look of I'm proud of you, boy.

"But just how did you awaken at two?" he wondered.

Lord Reid looked at the aura practice manual. So he really could read what's in there, he thought. Genius.

His great father picked him from the bed and walked towards the window.

He isn't going to throw me down, is he? I mean, I don't have any levitate skill, thought Williams. He could see the old man smiling for some reason.

"I think it's time you meet the Council of Exorcists, Necro."

As Lord Reid whispered the name, a huge red circle began glowing on the ground. The light and energy were so familiar.

Williams already guessed this was the summoning of his great father's spirit beast, and he guessed right.

From the glowing circle, as three long-necked dragons crawled out, Lord Reid jumped on the back, sitting on the dragon with Williams in his embrace.

"Okay, take me to Dimension E-99."

The dragon flapped its four wings, lifting them up into the clouds. Now that he was awake, Williams got to see how the dragon beast travels between dimensions.

Dimension 99; the floating world, huh?

Boosh!

The three heads spat out flames that circled around a spot, and whoosh! an outburst flap that sent them through the flames.

And that was how they vanished.

Earth — Dimension E-99

The brightest dimension among all the Earths. The buildings, without doubt, were made with crystals.

It was rumored demons could not withstand the Jah energy in this world because of their god.

A sun atop the clouds, a light that covered every path of this dimension. Days were twenty hours, and nights felt like ten hours.

The most common spirit beasts were like that of William's stepmother: white lightning geese.

Unlike his world and his great father's, this world doesn't have ground, nor technology.

What the houses were built on was mid-air. The only way you'd feel a partial surface is in created cities.

Just like where Tank had landed: a fabricated, solid, floating ground. Although this was the main path towards the Council.

Before taking Williams in, Lord Reid dropped the baby on the floor with Tank.

"Watch my grandson for me, Tank," said Lord Reid.

Understanding its master's words, the middle head of the dragon closed its eyes with a nod.

"Woah, that's the River of Holiness, the greatest Jah river!" Williams exclaimed.

Dimension 99 was the birthplace of the strongest exorcists, and to become an exorcist, this was where it is finalized.

All aspiring exorcists were sent here to attend the Divine Exorcist Academy.

Before Tank knew it, he had crawled between the legs of the dragon and was now staring at the blue, calm river below.

"Lord," the dragon muttered. When Williams heard the voice, he was quickly stunned—he heard the dragon. He understood the dragon.

Tank grabbed Williams by his clothes with her fang, taking him away from the edge of the fabricated surface.

And now, Williams was staring at the dragon. Did he hear the words from the dragon?

Tank noticed how Williams was staring at her. "Is something the matter, young Lord?"

"Fuck, I can actually understand someone else's spirit beast!"

The bond between a spirit beast and its master was supposed to be between them. Understanding the dragon's language was just wow for Williams.

"Uh, Tank, what rank are you?" asked Williams.

"I'm sorry, my Lord, but that information is classified."

Williams frowned.

"Hmm... Hey, how fast can you catch?" asked Williams. Bored to death, he had to tease Tank.

"Pardon me, Lord?"

Williams didn't say anything. He quickly crawled to the edge of the fabricated surface. "See ya!"

"Oh, I see now."

But Tank didn't go after him immediately. She stood at the edge, staring at him fall.

It was only when Williams was arm's length away from the river—it felt like she teleported.

But it was Williams who couldn't follow the trajectory of her speed. Now he realized.

"Fuu... ahaha... fuck, you're an Exalted Spirit Beast!"

yelled Williams. Tank felt her tummy gather butterflies as Williams hugged her neck tight with his tender body.

Unlike how fast she sped down, Tank landed on the surface platform with a perfect landing, while Lord Reid was now coming.

"My Lord, why did you risk your life to know my rank?"

"You didn't tell me, and you're an Exalted," said Williams. She could sense the happiness coming from his voice.

"Is there something wrong?"

"Don't pretend you don't know. Spirit beasts get to reproduce when they've reached Exalted. You're pregnant with my ride."

Tank was stunned. Before she could ask something else, Lord Reid had already taken Williams from her.

Leaving her wondering. "Pregnant? I'm pregnant?"

"Yeah, with my ride... See ya, Tank."

She smiled softly, watching Lord Reid take Williams towards the Council building.

—————————

The Council was a large room. At the end were three crystal-occupied thrones, cloaked figures in white hoods seated upon them.

Pillars were at both sides of the room, and a big statue of the Holy Book and Light Sword was carved behind the thrones.

Lord Reid walked in here with Williams—the baby who had his eyes wide open.

This was the second time he had been in this presence. The three sitting there were undoubtedly the Exalted Strongest Exorcists.

He had been here when he took the sword and the uniform of an exorcist. The memories all came flashing to William.

Lord Reid stood quiet, meters away from the stairwells leading to the Exalted Exorcists.

"Hmm... Genius, the baby is," said the right-hand Exalted.

"But clouded be the boy's future," was what the Exalted on the left said.

However, the middle Exalted kept looking at the baby. This was also the only person Williams was looking at.

I have three stacks. I can kill them all and end this madness right here and now, thought Williams.

Before any order gets through, these Exalted must agree to it. He sighed. And then what? Expect every high-rank exorcist to let me leave alive?

"Familiar the boy's aura be," the unspoken Exalted finally spoke.

With a wave of his palm, two floating red pillows appeared in front of Williams.

On one pillow was a little wooden sword, and on the other was an exorcist's little folded uniform.

Williams didn't know what this test was, but Lord Reid had dropped him on the floor to crawl and pick one.

He stared back at Lord Reid. His great father only smiled at the boy.

Williams sighed and began crawling towards his choice.

"Hmmm", an elder growls quietly "the baby has chosen over exorcism.", he said.

Williams held the wooden sword in his palm. And then he heard them say...

"You will not leave this place with the child", they all said in unison as if they had practiced the sentence for decades, cold, dark and bold.
