I was truly tired from yesterday and my heavy breakfast made me sleepy. I walked into classroom and made my way to my seat. I engrossed myself with the theoretical approaches of business studies.
"Morning sleepyhead" a tap on my shoulder from Adithya made me shudder and resulted in the awakening of my five other senses. Afraid of being love struck like a romance novel,I asked one of his minions to exchange seats.
One of them agreed while the other was rather blackmailed by the intense glare from the prince of hell himself. I quickly grabbed this moment of advantage and agreed.
"Hi" I sighed in relief and acknowledged my new neighbour.
"Hello, myself pierre and I'm your damsel in rescue.." she bowed in exaggeration. I chuckled at her tone of expression.

" I heard that you wanted to take science, but why the sudden change?" Pierre asked rather confusing even me. Adithya had also asked me the same question. Why..!!
"How did you get that idea?" I asked pierre. Our teacher entered the class putting an end to our personal conversation. The day went by in the usual drift. It is all dry. The subjects are rather raw expect for economics. I find economics more interesting than any other subjects.
As the class ended, I took my bag and was about to walk home, when I was stopped by the bore sight of caleb proposing to my best friend. I can't seem to decipher the difference between right or wrong anymore. Tears welled up in my eyes.
"He is not worth it!." Said pierre from behind who might have noticed my sudden stop.
"I'll be okay.." I said smiling. "You know, sometimes sharing your problems can ease up your emotions.. but if you are not ready, I can totally understand.." she said in an attempt to comfort me.
"Thanks" I said treating myself with snickers bar to feel okay and offered her one which she gladly took. Who could resist chocolates. I think this might be the start our friendship. Or so I think. I don't know if trust can be built on mere chocolates but she came when I really needed a friend's comfort. That is a green signal.
I hope that she might not use me as she once did with Olivia.Olivias story was famous to my ears.Initially, Pierre treated Olivia as a dear friend, but due some unknown reason, her attitude shifted from being a warm hearted to a deepening beast.If Olivia were to ever refuse any orders from pierre, both daniel and the prince of hell would give her hard times. They would pour cow dung , or throw coloured water, or tease her to a point where she cries. They would just laugh at her state of misery.It was because of their torments, that Olivia had to transfer to my old school. We were benchmates. After caleb 's betrayal, she was my only friend until the year ended.
We both talked about our studies on our way home. Turns out pierre's house is actually two house away from my own house. I didn't want to have any other conversation with her. Who knows what she might do to me.
We both bid goodbyes to each other, and went straight to our house. It turns out that I can see her house from my terrace. The house was that close. I can smell samosas from kitchen. I quickly went inside and hugged amma. "How was your school ?" She asked.
"It was okay mom" I answered. She nodded in response and gave me two samosas.
I excersized and did some yoga poses before I went to bathe. I had dinner and went upstairs to my room. I was already tired from all the excercises. It was when the sunlight beamed at my face that I realised, it was already morning.
I was the only one who had reached the class. I went inside and placed my bag in my chair. Then I headed towards the library, hoping to find some good practice book for accounts.
I also carried a rough book with me.
Some muffled voices from the library startled me from my work. The voice sounded like...p..irre. I turned to see three boys strangling her and trying to kiss her on the floor in between the bookshelves.. She was whimpering under their torment.
"What the hell are you doing?" I shouted at them , which made them stop and turn their shift to me.
"Lea..ve..shreya leave" pierre cried.I couldn't do that to her. I cannot leave her like this.
"Leave her alone, otherwise I'll call my father, he is a police.." I lied. But it worked they all ran out in fear. I quickly went near pierre, and helped her get up.
"I didn't know t..hat your fa..ther was a polic..emen." said pierre in between her sobs.
"I lied, I couldn't just leave you like that." I said and immediately she hugged me.
"That is dangerous, if they knew they or if they found that you lied, it could be dangerous " she said with a worried face.
I shrugged and walked her towards our classroom. I helped her sit near me.
The prince of hell and daniel both noticed the wound and looked worried.
"What the hell happened to you" asked the prince of hell in a tone that even scares the calmest man in the world to pierre.
"Well, it is percy's gang. They tr..ied t..o" she started crying. I just hugged her.
"What did they try do?" pushed her again by daniel with clenched fists making her cry even more.
"Will you stop pressuring her, can't you see that she is already in pain?"I said
"Then would you care to explain what had happened to her?" asked Adithya with furrowed eyebrow. I stayed quiet for a second. His cold and scary face is back again. I ignored eye contact. Fear definitely engulfed me.
"Th..ey tr.. ied..t..o...ab..use" My stuttering words never found its end,before both daniel and Aditya rushed outside the classroom. I don't know where they went.
"Pierre, did I do the right thing by explaining your situation to them?" I asked her really confused. She shrugged.
"They will anyway find it out, but now I'm more scared about you, girl. Now they will target you. Percy will easily get information about your father" I frowned at her words.
"Why were they targeting you anyway?" I asked her.
"Aahh...I saved adi's sister from percy's abusive relationship. He always controlled her. I helped her get out of it. Even though Adi never liked him, he accepted him because he used to treat her nicely infront of Adi. He never knew the abusive phase that his sister had to go through." Pierre's words shocked me.
"Wooww...he is dangerous" I gulped.
"Please, you must tell me if you see or feel anything unusual happening to you." She requested.
"Ok"I said and she smiled with a nod. It seems like I can trust pierre afterall.
Pierre had some assignment to be finished, so I decided to walk home alone. Suddenly a car came and two hands pushed me inside the car. My mouth was covered so I couldn't scream. I struggled to get out of their clutches until a loud slap made me loose all my consciousness.
