Chapter 32 - Commendation of High Morals

Susannah had a great figure, slim waist, long legs, curves in all the right places, and most importantly, she was pretty and young enough. Now she looked like she had lifeless eyes and was ready to be done with as he pleased; a normal man would really struggle to hold back.

That's what Kiana thought, so she crossed her legs and propped her chin, sitting nearby ready to catch him in the act anytime, anywhere.

"Fine, fine, whatever you say."

Fuli couldn't be bothered with her, thinking to himself that he could hold back even facing her in person in the previous loop, so what was Susannah compared to that?

He continued his interrogation: "Did the drone capture the Yae Shrine?"

"Yes," Susannah replied. "I originally thought it was an earthquake and was glad I was in Yae Village with its low buildings. But slowly I realized something was wrong, so I controlled the Falcon drone to fly up and check."

"Good, kill it."

Fuli pulled out Little March (baseball bat), a nuclear-kind smile appearing on his clean, sunny face.

Kiana punched his shoulder lightly with her small fist. "Don't make jokes like that if it's nothing!"

"Who said I was joking?"

"If you really wanted to do it, why use that Memory Eraser?"

"Because it's efficient! Okay, I was indeed joking."

Schicksal Valkyrie Reserve, and the key was that she was going to St. Freya for observation. This identity was useful to Fuli.

He thought for a moment and said, "Since your family is so rich, why do you insist on becoming a Valkyrie?"

Schicksal's Valkyrie is not a cushy job. This profession was originally fighters trained by the Schicksal organization to confront the Honkai head-on on the front lines, responsible for destroying or capturing zombies, Honkai Beasts, etc., generated by the Honkai.

Whenever a Honkai eruption occurs, it is accompanied by the release of a large amount of Honkai Energy. Ordinary people in high concentrations of Honkai Energy will be quickly eroded and turn into zombies.

But some people have varying degrees of adaptability to Honkai Energy, able to resist erosion and even actively use Honkai Energy to amplify physical abilities, thus being able to fight the Honkai.

Since women's adaptability to Honkai Energy is usually much higher than men's, and young girls have superior adaptability, these warriors are basically mostly young girls.

These girls are called Valkyries. The famous Kallen Kaslana was one of the outstanding representatives of early Valkyries.

Until the current Overseer Otto came to power, Schicksal accelerated research on Honkai Energy and conducted in-depth research on methods of using Honkai Energy in living organisms. The developed artificial stigmata system greatly improved Valkyries' utilization of Honkai Energy and significantly enhanced the combat power of Valkyrie squads.

However, due to technological immaturity, artificial stigmata also caused great burden and damage to the host, significantly shortening the Valkyrie's lifespan. But Otto considered Valkyries as disposable consumables and didn't care about their safety. This attitude of disregarding human life aroused dissatisfaction and opposition from many people within the organization.

For example, the (former) Schicksal North American Branch declared independence under this banner to form Anti-Entropy, entangling with Schicksal for over half a century.

With the development of the organization, the content of modern Valkyrie work has also expanded greatly. Public security management, logistics supply, intelligence investigation, and even infiltration and assassination missions have become part of a Valkyrie's job.

Simply put, as long as it involves maintaining Schicksal's interests and requires combat power, the task might be handed over to Valkyries.

Hearing Fuli mention Valkyries, Susannah suddenly got excited. Despite being in a hypnotic state, she grabbed Fuli's hand against all logic and talked non-stop about her dream.

—In short, she was saved by a passing Valkyrie, which sparked the idea of becoming a Valkyrie.

Tests found her Honkai Energy adaptability was quite good. After obtaining reserve status, she began touring Schicksal training bases across continents, hoping to choose the most suitable academy for herself.

Of course, the premise of all this was her jeweler father with a little bit (a lot) of assets, making Fuli want to sing "We Are Different~".

He glanced at the idle Kiana beside him and had a sudden idea. "Susannah, you're alone outside, didn't your family prepare some self-defense items for you?"

"They did!"

The girl said as a matter of course, and then began to take out various items continuously from that small pocket.

Exploding gold coins, little sister! (Getting loot/drops)

There was an Escape Dagger that could teleport ten meters but required a one-minute cooldown; a C-rank portable defensive shield Silver Haze Flower Seed; a Spirit Gathering Ring made from Honkai Crystals capable of storing Honkai Energy; and Celestial Wings that sprouted a pair of wings on the back for short-distance flight. It was almost the limit of what could be purchased on the mundane side.

However, this was only a part. The truly valuable thing was already held in the arms of the quick-eyed Kiana.

—Dragon Venerable MK2000 Plasma Sniper Rifle. A C-rank weapon in the shape of a flintlock pistol, inlaid with blue solid crystals on the body. It turns red when firing, emitting plasma rays, and its power can be adjusted according to usage needs.

It requires charging when used. Depending on the power, the charging time varies.

Minimum power is no less than a small high-explosive shell, killing radius 25 meters, fire rate 1 shot per second; maximum power is equivalent to a medium high-explosive bomb, killing radius 50 meters, fire rate 1 shot per 10 seconds.

Maximum range can reach five hundred meters, suitable for mid-to-close range group battles.

[Note: How is this not a sniper? It has a scope, single shot, high power, this is f***ing a sniper!]

"Wuwuwu, my long-lost sister from another mother, Mommy finally found you~"

Kiana stroked the Dragon Venerable MK2000, which god knows if it should be classified as a sniper rifle, her pupils gradually twisting into a peach-pink heart shape.

"So, do you want to kill and loot, duck?" Fuli's voice, full of temptation, sounded in the girl's ear at the right time. "Look, your dual pistols were just destroyed in the previous battle, and in the blink of an eye, you got a more powerful one. Isn't this God's guidance?"

...

In the moonlight-illuminated empty house, the warm, humid breath in her ear made Kiana shudder.

She shook her head uncomfortably, then focused her gaze on the handsome boy revealing a devilish smile.

Gulp!

—She swallowed hard.

This was a C-rank weapon! And it was a firearm classification that she, Kiana, was best at using!

She traveled all the way from Northern Europe, saving money frugally to get a pair of D-rank dual pistols, only for them to be cut in two like melons and vegetables by Shrine Maiden RIN!

As the inheritor of the Kaslana Gun Kata, she didn't even have a decent gun.

Is this reasonable?

Is there any justice?

Is there any law?

"Th-This isn't good, right?"

The girl sitting in a duck sit mumbled with her rosy lips, timidly not daring to meet Fuli's eyes.

Her beautiful sapphire eyes, however, were wide open, looking exactly like a pitiful little deer swaying under the temptation of a devil, about to fall into the abyss and let him play with her body and mind wantonly.

Looking down from above, Fuli sneered. "Why didn't you think it wasn't good when you stole bullets from the US military base?"

"Th-That's different!" The little white sheep mustered up the courage to confront the big bad wolf. "Robbing the US military base is called robbing the rich to help the poor; robbing Susannah's stuff is called housebreaking and robbery!"

"Just say if you want it or not!"

"Want want want! I want it!" The girl ultimately couldn't resist the temptation. Hugging her flintlock-shaped Dragon Venerable MK2000, she leaned towards Fuli ingratiatingly. "Ah-Li, Ah-Li~ Help me out~ I know you must have a way~~~"

When nothing's wrong, "Creep"; when there's trouble, "Ah-Li."

Arrogant before and respectful after; thinking about it makes one laugh!

Fuli glared at her. "What if I say I don't have a way? Are you going to say goodbye to your daughter from another mother?"

"Impossible! Absolutely impossible!"

"Be clear. Impossible meaning 'Impossible for Fuli not to have a way,' or 'Impossible for Kiana to part with Dragon Venerable MK2000'?"

The white-haired dumpling fell silent this time. She raised her aggrieved, beautiful little face, pouting and sniffing; simply cute enough to kill.

Fuli was amused by her reaction. "There is indeed a way."

"Yay!" Kiana cheered, spinning in a circle before impatiently asking, "So what's the way, duck?"

"Doesn't Susannah want to be a Valkyrie? We'll just exchange credit with her."

Fuli turned on the "Add Memory" function of the Memory Eraser and walked up to the dull-eyed Susannah.

"Susannah."

"I am here, Master."

"...Where did that title come from? Forget it. Remember everything I say next."

"Yes."

"Because you didn't notify the taxi driver to wait in advance, you were trapped alone in the Yae Village ruins far from the city."

"Because I didn't notify the driver to wait in advance, I was trapped alone in the Yae Village ruins far from the city."

"The moon gradually rose. Cold and hungry, you huddled in a corner of an old house, wanting to cry but having no tears; the eerie wind howled around you, and the rustling of branches made you unconsciously think of the ghost stories prevalent in East Asia."

"I am indeed afraid of ghosts."

"I guess with your personality you must be afraid... Fearful, you suddenly remembered there was an abandoned Yae Shrine on the mountain not far away, and the Inari God enshrined in the shrine is a very efficacious deity in the Far East."

"Afraid of ghosts, you timidly looked at the deepening night scene, recalling various plots in horror stories and movies, and finally plucked up the courage to step onto the road to the shrine."

"I'm so amazing."

"Yes, yes, yes, Susannah is really great!"

"Continue."

"Okay, hmm?"

Fuli stopped narrating and scrutinized the dull-eyed Susannah for a few moments.

Only after confirming that the Memory Eraser was still effective did he continue suspiciously.

"Although the road up the mountain was rugged, you successfully arrived at the Yae Shrine located halfway up the mountain relying on the flight function of Celestial Wings."

"Just stepping into the front yard, you saw a huge Killing Stone."

"You revealed a relieved expression, walked over quickly, put your hands together, and began to pray."

"It's free anyway, believe a little, what if it responds? —Thinking this, you then found the Killing Stone in front of you began to tremble violently."

"There was indeed a monster causing trouble sealed here, and you were wearing a Spirit Gathering Ring storing Honkai Energy on your hand."

"The monster sucked the Honkai Energy from the Spirit Gathering Ring in one breath, broke through the seal, and appeared in front of you. It was a four-tailed fox-shaped Honkai Beast!"

Wow! Golden Legendary!

"You ran, it chased; if it caught you, it would hehehe with you."

"Having not eaten for several hundred years, the demon fox wanted to eat you, a tender-skinned little girl, to break its fast and have a snack."

"Of course, you refused, so you used the Celestial Wings to maneuver against it."

"And that demon fox indeed had some skills, releasing explosive light cannons non-stop, seeming to vent all the anger of being sealed for hundreds of years."

"Fortunately, you still had the Silver Haze Flower Seed for defense and the teleportation ability of the Escape Dagger. Combined with your innate talent... luck, combined with your innate luck, you managed to dodge the most fatal attacks by a hair's breadth!"

"Gua! Like a Demon Lord descending from heaven, truly a Tai Sui God (God of Calamity) on earth!"

"Susannah! Awesome!" Kiana clenched her small fists in front of her chest, her whole body radiating admiration.

Interrupted, Fuli said dissatisfiedly, "You, the involved party, step aside! Can't you see I'm making it up on the spot?"

"Cough cough, in short, after consuming most of the energy in the Honkai Beast, you raised the fully charged Dragon Venerable MK2000! Risking your life! You unleashed a barrage at it from 499 meters away!"

"This was already the limit of what you could do! Whether it was the Escape Dagger, Silver Haze Flower Seed, or Celestial Wings, they were all destroyed in the previous battle! Even the Dragon Venerable MK2000 had overheated and was about to explode!"

Uh-huh! Putting it this way, Susannah won't be suspicious even if the items are gone!

Kiana grinned and gave Fuli a thumbs up.

"Fortunately! God still favored you, his most beloved cub!" Fuli waved his fist, speaking forcefully. "Although you lost all the items in your hand, in the nick of time, you cut this B-rank strength demon fox down from its horse!"

The destructive power caused by a desperate B-rank was also quite terrifying. Plus, the Dragon Venerable MK2000 charged for ten seconds had a killing radius of fifty meters. After a round of indiscriminate bombardment, it was reasonable for the place to turn into what it was now.

However, Fuli still held back a hand, not letting Shrine Maiden RIN's true strength surface.

Incidentally, he also concealed the news of the Key of Corruption, making the demon fox an ordinary mutated Honkai Beast.

Susannah was a Valkyrie Reserve. Reserve, to put it bluntly, meant an ordinary person who had only received basic training.

She didn't even have Honkai Energy in her body, otherwise, the Memory Eraser wouldn't have worked on her.

There was a tiny possibility for such a Susannah to defeat a B-rank relying on the equipment given by her tycoon father, but defeating an A-rank was truly living in a dream.

"That's basically the situation."

After roughly describing the outline of the story, Fuli lowered his head to think for a moment, then added some small details with Susannah.

He wasn't afraid of being seen through. After all, the combat process described in this story wasn't much different from what actually happened.

Plus, the fact that a battle happened here would be known sooner or later. Instead of being traced back to him, it was better to push someone out as a shield.

Assuming those people would still have the time to care about these trivial matters after the Third Eruption.

Fuli clapped his hands happily.

And after obtaining this credit for eliminating the demon fox, Susannah would inevitably gain a higher starting point and the attention of big shots after joining Schicksal.

As for whether she could cash in these resources into strength, that depended on whether she was willing to work hard.

Besides that.

"Susannah, you're going to St. Freya for inspection next, right?"

"Yes."

Fuli glanced at Kiana, who finally couldn't resist running to the next room to change clothes, and whispered in Susannah's ear:

"I have a few words, help me pass them to Theresa Apocalypse of the Schicksal Far East Branch..."
