Chapter 11 - Attack

The night fog lingered over the harbor. The rainwater that fell now mixed with blood on the pavement.

Aksa stood between Alaska and Alana, hands trembling, eyes staring blankly as if still trapped between vengeance and love.

"We're going home," Alaska said quietly. "I don't care who poisoned your mind, we're family. And I won't let family fall apart."

Aksa drew a sharp breath, eyes shimmering. "Family?" She laughed bitterly. "You say that now? After you left me burning that night?"

"Aksa, I didn't leave you!" Alaska's voice cracked. "I went back to that warehouse, but all that was left was ashes…."

"And pain!" Aksa cut him off. "Pain that shaped me into the monster built for you!"

Alana stepped forward. "Enough! You both keep blaming each other when the real enemy is out there. Rave is still out there!"

Aksa shot her a glare. "Don't act like you know anything, kid!"

"I might be a kid," Alana fired back, fearless. "But at least I'm not blind to someone who only wants to see you both destroyed!"

Footsteps echoed from the distance. Kenan drew his gun, aiming at a shadow emerging from behind the warehouse.

Rave Appears

Drenched in rain, Rave walked out calmly in his soaked black suit.

In his hand, a small red detonator flashed ominously.

"Touching," he said casually. "Siblings reunited at last. Unfortunately… it won't last long."

"What do you want, Rave?" Alaska asked, voice heavy.

"Simple," he smiled. "I want you to feel what it's like to lose everything. Like I did."

"You already destroyed my life!" Alaska growled. "You killed my people, you brainwashed my sister, you."

"Not enough," Rave interrupted. "Not until the one you love dies right in front of you."

His eyes shifted to Alana.

Panic Ignites

Kenan fired first but Rave was already behind a steel container.

Gunshots echoed, birds scattered into the air.

Alana sprinted for cover, but a small explosion erupted on the west side of the dock. Flames shot high.

"Timed bombs!" Kenan shouted. "He rigged the entire harbor!"

Smoke thickened, vision blurred. Aksa charged at Rave, fury burning in her gaze.

"You said only they would get hurt!"

"And you believed me?" Rave sneered. "You're still weak, Aksa. You still have a heart. That's your weakness."

"I'm not weak!" Aksa pointed her gun at his chest. "I'm just done being your tool."

The Final Clash

Alaska emerged through the fog, aiming straight at Rave.

"Drop the detonator, or I'll blow you up with this place."

"You won't," Rave smirked. "You're not a killer… not anymore."

"Try me," Alaska replied coldly.

Suddenly

BANG!

The shot didn't come from Alaska.

Aksa fired straight at Rave.

The bullet struck his shoulder, knocking him against a container. The detonator slipped from his hand and splashed into the sea.

"Aksa…" Alaska stared, stunned.

"I just want this to end," she whispered as her voice broke. "I don't want to be used anymore."

Rave coughed blood, yet laughed softly.

"Funny… even when you win… you still lose."

"What do you mean?" Alaska barked.

Rave glanced at the large fuel ship at the far end of the port.

A blinking red light glowed there the real bomb.

Time's Up

"Damn it!" Kenan shouted. "That's a fuel ship if it blows…!"

"We all die," Alaska growled.

"Aksa! I need you to help shut the system down!"

Aksa nodded, sprinting beside him to the ship.

Meanwhile, Alana winced, clutching a wound in her shoulder from shrapnel.

"Just go! I can handle this!" she yelled, blood dripping.

"I'm not leaving you!" Kenan dragged her behind oil drums.

Final Seconds

Alaska and Aksa rushed into the control room.

"The code is locked!" Aksa panicked.

"You can crack it I taught you, remember?"

Aksa paused, then smiled faintly. "You haven't changed. Still believing in me."

Her fingers raced across the keys.

The timer kept dropping:

00:00:15…

00:00:10…

00:00:03…

00:00:02…

00:00:01…

CLICK.

The screen shut off.

Silence filled the room.

After the Blast

Minutes later, police sirens wailed in the distance.

Smoke thinned. Alana sat with her wound bandaged, Kenan guarding her.

Alaska and Aksa walked down the ramp covered in blood and dust, but alive.

"You did it," Alaska whispered.

"We did it," Aksa replied with a weak smile.

Alana stepped closer. "Aksa… I'm sorry about everything."

Aksa shook her head. "Don't be. You're the only reason he still has a heart."

Rave's Last Breath

Rave leaned against a warehouse wall, blood soaking his shirt.

He stared up at the lightening sky.

"Funny… looks like I lost," he said weakly.

Alaska approached, no hatred in his eyes.

"You didn't lose, Rave. You just never stopped fighting your own shadow."

Rave smiled one last time.

"In that case… don't become like me."

His eyes closed forever.

Three Months Later

Direndra Group stood strong once more.

Alaska returned to his CEO chair but this time, not alone.

Aksa sat across from him as the new Head of Security.

And on the balcony, Alana stared into the sunset where everything ended and began again.

"You still want to live in a world this dark?" she asked.

"As long as you're in it," Alaska answered, holding her gaze.

"My world will never be dark."

He stepped closer, cupping her face gently.

"And this time… I won't let anyone take you from me again."
