Chapter 176 - Chapter 12 — The Garden of 001

After doing all of that preparation—months of it, really—I finally felt ready. Or at least as ready as anyone could ever be for something like this. Even with all my experiments, all the simulations, all the calculations, a part of me still whispered that I might die the moment I took another step. And honestly? That thought wasn't wrong. No one else could do this but me… yet I was the one most likely to die performing it.

That's why I'd spent the past few nights obsessively scrolling through the system shop, praying to whatever cosmic force listened that there would be something this month to increase my odds. Ten characters. Ten abilities. One monthly refresh. Usually just barely good enough to be tempting, but not vital.

But this time… this time I got lucky.

• The Kāma:The Kāma mark allows an Ōtsutsuki to resurrect themselves by decompressing their data from a vessel's body after death.Cost: 50,000 points.

And with my balance sitting at a comfortable 250,000, it felt like the universe finally handed me a lifeline. A costly one—but worth every point if it meant coming back from whatever horror 001 could unleash.

Finding a vessel, however, was another nightmare entirely. They had to be high quality—high enough to withstand my data imprint without imploding. It took months of searching, evaluation, testing… but eventually I found someone suitable. After inscribing the Kāma onto them, I had no choice but to wait for the sync rate to complete. Only then could I even attempt this suicidal mission.

So now here I am, walking toward CP001 with every defense I could imagine activated. Layers of technology designed to endure heat that rivaled stars, pressure that could crush planets, and… whatever the hell else 001 was capable of.

Over that, I used the Reality Stone and fragments of the Phoenix Force to weave a protective membrane over my skin—like armor made of pure cosmic dominance. I needed every advantage I could get.

My invisibility was triple-layered: advanced anomalous cloaking tech, metaphysical obscuring from three different systems, and reality-based invisibility layered over it all. I even shielded my own mind with my best telepathic defenses, sealing away every stray thought that could give me away.

No scent. No sound. No psychic presence. No soul signature. To 001, I wasn't even a concept.

Or so I prayed.

As I approached, nerves coiled tight in my chest. There it was—its leg—towering beside me like a celestial pillar. The kind of sight that could drive a normal human insane. I held my breath, even though I knew breath had nothing to do with my stealth. Instinct was instinct.

One step.Another.Another.

My legs felt like glass.

But… nothing. No telepathic command. No pressure in my skull. No divine awareness turning toward me.

I slipped past its leg.

I slipped into the Garden of Eden.

And still… nothing.

Not safe yet. Never safe here. But safe enough to act.

Carefully—so carefully—I extended my telekinesis, fingers trembling even though physically they remained still. One fruit from each tree floated toward me, wrapped in multiple layers of telekinetic shielding. I didn't touch them. I didn't even breathe near them.

Then, the moment I had them secured—

Teleport.

I reappeared inside my base, knees buckling instantly as the world snapped back around me. I collapsed into my chair, gasping like I'd sprinted across dimensions. Sweat beaded down my forehead, dripping onto my trembling hands.

That…That was probably the most nerve-wracking thing I had ever done in my entire life.

And somehow… I actually survived.
